To be fair, I am sure we have all had games that felt like a chore sometimes, even in respect of games that are widely accepted as being great.

It's certainly in the running for me, but if absolutely pushed, I think Bloodborne, Horizon and Uncharted 4 just edge out my personal top 3.

I adored GoW though, every aspect of that title was stellar, for me, some of my favourite music in recent memory....Bear Mcreary is an absolute boss.

It does make me think though, just how lucky we have been as PS4 owners with such high quality titles being available.

Agree whole heartedly, and as you say, that documentary was fantastic.

Once you adjusted to the driving model, as it was a mashup of arcade and sim in my opinion, the GRID games were fantastic. The thing that stood out to me was that it felt like you were taking part in a race, lots of overtaking and fighting for positions etc.

Great news that a new title is in pipeline.

True gamers?🙄

This was precisely what I was hoping for too, I played Pirates on my C64 for countless hours as a kid. I was gutted when Skull and Bones was revealed as a multiplayer experience.

You have to be a special kind of moron to believe that self regulation works in any industry and that government should not legislate.

How much safer do you think air travel would be without strict regulation, how about any kind of industrial manufacturing, how about the food and drink industries? Do you think medical research would be safer? How about workers rights if companies weren't forced to treat employees with basic rights?

The fact is, regar...

I'd be interested in what you define as a 'grown up game'. Is it art style, is it the genre or is it levels of violence, what is it that you think makes a 'grown up game'. What if someone who doesn't play games said to you all videogames are childish?

I am 43 years old and personally, I loved Mario Odyssey and Zelda BotW just as much as I did Sekiro or God of War.

I agree with this aspect of Nintendo, they really do overcharge for their products, especially their accessories.

Nintendo's consoles are decent enough but the key thing for me, the thing that makes me buy their consoles, I love their games. They compliment my PS4 library so well, I am currently hunting a platinum trophy in Dark Souls and having Super Mario 3D world on my WiiU to dip into as a palette cleanser works a treat for me.

I am off to Budap...

Another day, another non story - where people in the comments get offended at the idea of other people being offended.

Why is it such a problem, the characters are still in the game, they are simple called something else. 'Midget' hasn't been an acceptable term for decades, language evolves constantly, always has, always will. Does this really affect your enjoyment of the game?

The PS3 was and still is an incredible console, it is impressive that despite the best efforts of the majority of gaming websites to sink PS3 in favour of the 360, it still sold the way it did. I still have mine plugged in next to my PS2 and PS4 as it has so many fantastic games to play.

Sony have established a track record that will never be replicated by MS in that, for every generation of console they invested in software and delivered incredible experiences which seem ...

For the longest time I had been hoping for a gaming site to come along aimed at a more mature audience, one that treated games as serious pieces of media, when Waypoint came along I was quite interested. After a few months though, it became clear that Waypoint was so pretentious and highfalutin and they were constantly looking down their noses at a lot if AAA stuff that I really enjoyed. This is pretty typical of that site, they would basically consider it too low brow for their sensibiliti...

@Imalwaysright

Way to pick an edge case squire, anyone with any common sense can safely navigate an online games lobby without offending people by using racist or offensive language. We all know, by the time we reach our teens, what is acceptable and what isnt, Biodead is not at risk of accidentally getting banned for being accidentally racist, you are clutching at straws here.

Incidentally, this exact situation cropped up in football here in the UK a fe...

@AnubisG

Except that in your highly dubious analogy, you have bought the car, not just a license to use it. It's a completely different set of circumstances.

2629d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Absolutely spot on, the amount of extremism on both sides is ridiculous. For every person out there seeking out offense, there is an AnubisG who takes it to the extreme in the other direction.

Just respect each other, we are all adults and generally have a grasp of what is and isnt socially acceptable.

How hard is it to grasp that you are only purchasing a license to temporary access to a piece of media, tied completely to your account.

Do something as vile as this guy did, and you are in violation of the terms and conditions you agreed too when opening your account and that comes with serious implications where your license agreements are concerned.

This guy wasn't simply making some 'near the knuckle' remarks, there is nothing ambiguous in what he said, he was using utterly unacceptable language no matter which way you cut it.

Trying to suggest people are being too sensitive, in the context of this article and what this particular piece of human detritus said, is completely disingenuous.

Sure, there are extremes and generally, especially where social media is concerned, people do seem to...

This is ridiculous, whether English is your first language or not, you know full well what is acceptable language and what isn't; and that's the same for everyone else.

If you are a normal person who behaves in a normal manner, you have nothing to worry about. If you resort to name calling then you are being a pathetic man baby and going further still, if you start dropping racist epithets then you are being a complete scumbag.

If you play games ...

I know that the state owns the cathedral, but they also agreed to 'lease it', for want of a better description, in perpetuity. The Catholic church basically controls the estate but gets the taxpayer to fund its maintenance, while the church reap the rewards from the tat they sell to tourists etc.

This is an amazing gesture by Ubi, and in my opinion, Unity was treated more harshly that it deserved.

Having said that, I personally think the Catholic church is exploiting the tragedy of this fire and generating millions upon millions in donations when they themselves should be footing the bill. Pretty sure they were the ones making money from the exploiting of the tourist attraction, now they want the taxpayer to rebuild it for them, pretty outrageous in my opinion. <...
