Hmmmm, I wonder what the original NoClip company owned by the awesome Danny O'Dwyer makes of this. I know they technically do something different, nonetheless, they are both offering a website providing information on videogames.....seems confusingly similar in my opinion.
Website name apart, this is pretty brilliant!
In principle, you should absolutely make your own decision but broadly speaking, when there is consensus amongst over a hundred reviews that the game is mediocre, it is probably fair to acknowledge that the game will be lacking.
This site simply lists reviews as they are posted, it does not generate hate for a given game per se, it is the comment sections that do that, so it's more accurate to say you ignore comment sections rather than the consensus of 150 reviews for ...
Yup, agreed, The Witness is a pretty terrific game.
Looking at this comments section, I am flabbergasted that so many people are still playing their PS3's and playing the free games each month. I just assumed that Sony had metrics to demonstrate nobody was bothering anymore so it wasn't economically viable to set up licensing agreements for old games only a handful of people were playing.
So, either there really are thousands of gamers still downloading these games each month who are now legitimately disappointed OR...
Perhaps Sony should write to you and ask precisely what games you do want, you know, because only your tastes should be catered for.
Nobody has said it isnt a great game, but the list for 'greatest game of all time' is pretty well populated. Personally, I would probably choose either Bloodborne, Last of Us or Bioshock as a contender for greatest game of all time but it would be impossible to state definitively that any of those 3 are the best game of all time, it comes down to personal opinion at the end of the day.
Therefore, whilst I personally didnt tick 'dislike' I imagine those that...
Yeah, I think you are right buddy, I am 43 personally so I was in my early 20s when I first played it and at the time I utterly loved it. Having tried to replay it on my Vita about 3 years ago, I can honestly say that even my nostalgic attachment to it wasn't enough to get me more that 4 hours into the game 😃
I often wonder why there is so much interest in this game. It was a great title in its day and it is an important piece of gaming history, but time has not been kind to the game. I can only think that people with a nostalgic attachment to the game will really enjoy it, with younger gamers probably wondering what all the fuss us about.
I hope it's not at the expense of such a storied developer as Bioware, but I am happy to see another slap in the face to GaaS. The sooner GaaS and all its trappings disappear from the gaming landscape the better the industry will be.
Every time a 'God of War', 'HALO' or 'Zelda' gets great reviews and sells well in comparison to another GaaS piece of rubbish I cheer.
I recall become super obsessed with capturing enemy soldiers, I'd spot a soldier with great stats and could wait to add him to the collection 🤣
Well, I played every MGS game many, many times; I consider myself a huge fan of the series. Personally, I loved MGS5 to bits, it played like a dream and while I acknowledge it had some shortcomings in respect of the story (for a MGS title), it still had loads of great moments and huge amounts of that Kojima 'magic'.
I think MS's vision of the future is pretty gloomy to be honest.
Subscribe to a service to play old games with the odd shit exclusive you wouldn't have bought anyway. If you are lucky we will deliver ANOTHER Forza again each year.
No thanks, if Sony and Nintendo continue to invest in developing new, quality videogames I am going to continue investing in them by buying their games. I doesn't matter how you spin it, but games as a service has ...
He seemed like a nice guy but I have often wondered just how much influence the management chain at Nintendo US have over Nintendo. They have always struck me as very much a Japan led outfit with all the decision making being done domestically and as such, I never considered him to have the same clout as his counterparts at organisations like Sony or MS.
Would love a remaster of The Puppeteer, that was a superb game on PS3.
Keep your fingers crossed Xbox gamers because the game is bloody fantastic, makes sense to release it and then do a full multiplatform release for the sequel. The more money these guys make, the more games they make for us all to enjoy going forward.
Imagine how much more poignant this might have been if this chap had been honoured in a game that demonstrated his ability and passion for the medium instead of being memorialised in something as mediocre as this game.
That's fine ChiefJohn, it's not an exhaustive list of exclusives on PS4, there are plenty of others too I am sure.
Yup, and given Brandon's love of open world games if anyone stood a chance of enjoying Crackdown 3 it would be him.
How the hell anyone could choose the MS platform over Sony is beyond be at this stage. I literally (and I mean literally) haven't turned the xbox on since I bought Sunset Overdrive at launch, that was the last game I thought looked decent enough to play on Xbox. I want to play Gears of War 4 and Cuphead at some point but that's it, and it has been that way for something like the last 9 or 10 years of Xbox consoles.
I cannot imagine not playing Last of Us, Bloodbo...
I think old games were harder across the platforms, difficulty wasnt something exclusive to NES. I played games on Scectrum, Commodore 64 and NES back in that period and they all had ridiculously difficult games, borne out of poor game design and technical limitations.
Game design as a whole has improved dramatically over the last 30 years, its not so much that games are easier per se, in my opinio, they are just designed to play well and illiminate frustration. There are...
