I am generally excited for this development but I cannot help but dwell on how much I have enjoyed some remasters that improved on things like textures, lighting and that gave us new trophy lists. I would have loved another excuse to play Bloodborne for example, and a good remaster would of really excited me. I have to imagine that this new tech will put pay to the remastered titles now.

You have great taste is software 👍👍

Yup, you should try holding a conversation like an adult instead of throwing insults around, maybe people might listen to what you have to say instead of immediately discounting you comment.

@Starchild
To a degree, yes.....but, you need an install base to sell software to in the first place.

Sony understand this better than anyone else, while Nintendo traditionally rely on their fantastic exclusives and MS rely heavily on 3rd party software, Sony have always hit the perfect balance of sprinkling in amazing exclusives to compliment the 3rd party titles.

Exclusives are key to Playstations success.

By keeping their biggest and best exclusives on PS4 only, Sony have ensured that the PS4 remains essential for those who want to experience some of the finest games ever made.

I disagree, by creating compelling exclusive content Sony are making their hardware pretty essential, even for those with decent gaming rigs.

@tuetep
Exclusivity is a key element that Sony has which strengthens their brand and drives their success, I personally want to see Sony consoles continue to succeed and deliver and that is why I am keen for Sony to continue to deliver big exclusives, it's good for the Playstation brand.

What many Xbox fans dont appreciate is that Sony have built up goodwill over 20+ years and even if exclusives are slow to arrive early on, Playstation fans know the games are coming as Sony have always delivered stellar exclusives titles.

Besides which, I was plenty happy with the exclusives in the first 2 years with the likes of Resogun, Killzone, Until Dawn, Bloodborne, Last of Us Remastered, Infamous Secon Son, Tear Away Unfolded, Little Big Planet 3 and personally, I e...

The problem with your comment is, the Cell was proven to be more powerful, it was just a nightmare to tap into that power due to its complexity. Sony made no promises about online capabilities nor trophies, so they hardly lied about that either and they eventually got their act together in both of those points and the PS3 easily had the best looking games once engineers got to grips with programming for the PS3.

I bought that XB1 because they said its power was going to be...

I was burnt by MS at E3 2015, bought into all their hype, bought an XB1 and almost everything they said turned out to be lies and half truths, I just dont trust them to deliver on anything they say anymore, that's the problem with lying all the time.

Never thought I would be hyped for a COD game, but I am really excited by the trailer, I loved Price!

I tend to get invested in most games that I play so currently, the last game I cared about is Days Gone. This does surprise me given the critical reception and also my own perception of Deacon before the game launched as I was worried I would dislike the character. Instead, I am finding the main plotline pretty good and I have really warmed up to Deacon who isnt as much of a brute as he first seemed.

Before that, I had played Darksouls so, enough said, that game is aweso...

Yeah, I am with you on this, I adore Bloodborne. I was secretly hoping for a remaster on PS5 just so I could plat it again, but looks like backward compatibility will put pay to that notion.

It started out as planned DLC but eventually developed into a full blown title in it's own right. That's why it's not called Uncharted 4: Lost Legacy like you stated in your post, it's simply Uncharted: Lost Legacy.

I am so glad I didn't listen to the negativity surrounding this game, I haven't put it down since I started playing last week. The 'universe' they have created is fantastic and for me, it's the atmosphere that sells it to me.

I would suggest that if you like open world games you might add a point or two to the 7/10 average score.

I cannot wait to replay this title, I adored it on PS3. I only hope the awesome collectors edition released in Japan gets an equivalent release here in the UK.

I have to be honest, I have read a bunch of reviews and don't recall anyone rating it harshly because of the protagonists ethnicity. This is just a narrative being pushed by equally extreme people on the other side of the left/right spectrum.

For my part, I must admit I didn't like Deacon (or Boozer) for the first 10 hours or so either, not because they were white but because the were arseholes who were full of macho nonsense, they weren't likeable characters. ...

Actually, the website is pretty good in my experience and Days Gone was reviewed by another reviewer. This opinion piece is borne out of the writer playing it over the last few weekends despite the negative reviews and his own first impressions, and finding that he liked the game.
