Driveclub is another example of a game with a huge amount of hype which floundered at launch, only to be turned into a fantastic game down the line.
Lol, these people who are just itching to be angry on the internet....its clearly an April's fool gag.
If you want to be angry, try spending 2 hours on the last boss of Sekiro.....I am losing my mind......I love it!!
Yup, I make a point of not reading these pieces if the title seems like click bait, I just think it is a disservice to your work if you sell out with a lazy title like this.
I also feel like the racing was the most immersive of any of the other games on current gen consoles, I remember really feeling in amongst the pack in that game.
A fabulous list of games but a couple of big exclusives (or console exclusives in some cases) missing too, just my opinion, but the following are fabulous games, worthy of recognition:
Ratchet and Clank
Ni No Kuni 2
Dragon Quest 11
Until Dawn
Yakuza 0 (and the other Yakuza games too)
Last of Us Remastered
Shadow of the Colossus Remastered
Gravity Rush 1 & 2
Tetris Effect
Detroit: Become Hum...
I'd be more than happy with x2 the power of the XB1X!!!
The last boss fight has me on my knees pleading for a miracle........I will conquer it, but its gonna be a long afternoon!!
Another aspect that is being overlooked is that of From Software's right to creative expression. From are not just making tougher games to cause grief to the gamer, it is part of their design philosophy, their creative choice, they want to elicit particular feelings of triumph and a sense of achievement in the gamer.
In the same way, they look to instil a sense of mystery and wonder in their games by way of opaque story telling and delivery of lore in weapon and item d...
Yeah, ignore the hundreds of reviews and thousands of customer comments in forums and reviews, we at coin-drop are the only ones in the know!
Looking at your comment history, it's overwhelmingly negative so it's clear you are impossible to please or a professional troll; either way, I'll take your comment with a pinch of salt.
Yeah, I had trouble with the bull, I would say that strategically, he was very different insofar as, it's all about step dodging rather than parrying.
I had a boss fight last night that took a good 10 attempts and I can appreciate people getting frustrated however, it felt like every other From title to me, I got better each time, picking up more of his tells and working out where my opportunity to attack was. The other thing that cas consistent with other From titles...
I don't understand all the complaints about difficulty at all.
You just need to train yourself to parry instead of step dodging, it was this fight where it all fell into place with me.
For me the animation in these games is incredible and really does signal the kind of incoming attack allowing you to decide how to deal with it. It's fast becoming my favourite game of 2019 so far.
Its everything I had hoped for and more, I absolutely love it. Its punishing at first but now I am improving and have unlocked a bunch of gourd improvements to heal, I am making some real headway.
I never thought they would beat the combat in Bloodborne, but I think they might have here, its genius!
It is hard, but just like their other games, you can feel yourself improving; I feel like an absolute badass in this game when you have a good run of parries and strikes. As for the DragonRot, so far I have had no problem at all curing it as it crops up.
I had levelled up my attack and vitality stats one time each and managed to beat her on maybe my 7th or 8th attempt, got so close a few times, but really satisfying when she fell. Outstanding game, cannot get enough of it!
My love of MGS is completely intertwined with a healthy dollop of nostalgia so I couldn't really comment on how the game would be perceived by a younger gamer who has never played it before. I am not saying it isn't a classic, nor am I suggesting its isnt a historically important piece of software, but it has aged somewhat.
I still play the whole series every couple of years though, I love the MGS games.
The list doesn't contain 'The Train: Escape to Normandy' on C64, what a travesty!!!
In all seriousness, that game was amazing to a 12 year old Lovespuds back in the day, I used to love Acolade and Microprose stuff back then.
Scumbags, if you want to play the game, support the damn developer and help them to continue making incredible games by paying them for their hard work, skill and creativity. It is especially upsetting when it's a dev as beloved as From who are getting shafted.
I would love to see these pirates have someone turn up to their business and simply steal their goods.
Blimey, that is a heck of a lot of game for the money, superb deal!
Personally, I think the Dark Souls games and certainly Demon Souls are obtuse when you start playing them for the first time, much the same as Bloodborne. This is something that is intentional on the part of FromSoftware, it is their creative choice and aims to foster a sense of mystery for the player. Working out what is going on in the world and who and what you are is a huge part of the fun for me.
Its funny now that I think about it, because I imported Demon Souls thr...
