There are more new games to play than ever before, I have yet to see a developer release a remaster at the expense of new title. These devs can work on more than one project at a time..
I hope we get a similar product page for a PS5 version of God of War. That is the only thing bumming me out about the PC announcement. I am fine with exclusives dropping on PC once they have served their purpose on console, but I am gutted they are not releasing a upgraded PS5 version alongside the PC release.
In respect of Ragnarok, I cannot wait to play that game!!
Pretty sure that that the majority of Halo and Forza fans will already be on Gamepass. The release of these titles might attract some new subscribers but the idea that there are millions of Halo and Forza fans who don't already have Gamepass who will suddenly subscribe seems really far fetched to me.
Yeah Venom, I say this as a huge fan of From Software, but Horizon is far more mainstream so I don't think Elden Ring will cannibalise too many sales. It will take some, but not too many I don't think.
I'll buy both, but dunno how I'll choose which to play 1st, busting to play both!!
Sorry Drew, my comment wasn't aimed at you matey, it was aimed at Brazz.
I agree, definitely one of my favourite studios too. I don't necessarily agree that it's a big get for MS though, personally.
I say this as a huge fan of Dishonoured, Prey and Deathloop, but I don't think Arkane make games for a mainstream audience so I don't see them drawing millions of new customers to MS's services.
In fact, I would go as far as to suggest I am a little uneasy about studios such as Arkane and Tango Gameworks (who I...
Perhaps you need to go write for COGGames, you seem to have a similar knack for nonsense opinions.
That really is pathetic!
I suppose the only small consolation is you have that time accounted for on your CV.
I am just glad I don't live in the US, your workers rights are utterly atrocious. I guess people like Maximus help that lack of rights continue.
It's not free for most of their userbase, like me, you probably pay for Gamepass etc. Why should we pay more for the 'full fat' experience.
This is exactly the problem with the Gamepass model, MS loading their exclusive games with free to play mechanics and microtransactions when their most loyal consumers have already paid them cash once.
Have to imagine PS5 would outsell Switch without the stock constraints. Either way, console gaming is booming right now.
@Nakiro
Exactly that, MS want their cake and to eat it. They know that they ain't making any money off Halo sales because the core audience already have Gamepass and that's the only reason they have made the multilayer free to play.
Unlike most, I don't consider games I play on Gamepass as 'free' I paid for this entertainment. As a result, I feel annoyed that Halo MP is going free to play because now, if I want the fullest experienc...
Seems to be quite a positive buzz around this game, but I can't help but feel that they all feel very samey once I start playing them and it's become a bit formulaic in the same way Assassin's Creed games run together, for example.
Interested to find out in a few weeks time for sure.
Guess I'll wait and see what work has been done to the titles before deciding whether it's a fair price or not. In respect of value for money, that's hundreds of hours of entertainment for the price of a good meal for 2.
I am clearly missing something here, can you explain why its politically correct to have the option to play as either gender? I am playing as a male Dani, my daughter gets to play as a female Dani when she plays the game once I am done. What is so outrageous about that?
What the hell does this have to do with feminism?
Same here chief, I know it got a bit of a drubbing in the reviews but open world games are among my favourite genres and I have a high tolerance for sweeping up icons on maps, I find it therapeutic in a way 😀
I have been holding on for a PS5 version of the game too.
I am ashamed to say that Metroid is a series I have barely played. I hammered the first game on NES as a young teenager but didn't pick up a Nintendo machine until the Wii came along (I was more into computers over that period).
Regardless I really fancy giving this one a try but I am thinking of trying Super Metroid first....my backlog is getting worse by the day.
@SurgicalMennace
You are wasting your breath trying to get any sense out of many of the people on N4G forums.
For my part, I thought the character was fantastic, well realised and the voice acting was incredible. Not once did it even enter my head that Arkane were pushing an agenda or anything like that, it was simply a fantastic game with an interesting (and damn cool) protagonist.
You hear statements that Sony is risk averse all the time, it really does confuse me.
They innovated with their controller for PS5, the console itself is quite out there in its appearance too, and whether you like its design or not, they certainy weren't playing it safe.
The games catalogue speaks for itself, and while many of their biggest successes have been 3rd person games they were still huge undertakings.
We want to reboot Gow...
