I adored Lost Legacy but I personally think Uncharted 4 was a better game. After 3 games in the series I was more invested in Nate and his relationships etc. I loved the epilogue to that game so much, it really choked me up to be honest, it was a great way to send Drake and Ellana off into the sunset.
Personally, I found Kit and Krysta to be too saccharine for my tastes, however I appreciate that was probably what Nintendo insisted on. But in my opinion, this drive to be so sweet and jolly at all times led to the videos coming across as quite insincere and essentially, quite staged. I think it did hamper the natural chemistry between the pair, it was like watching Barney and friends but without the cool dinosaur costume 😂
Obviously catering for a younger audien...
Couldn't agree more, hopefully this would also lead to a sequel. Sunset Overdrive was an absolutely brilliant time and I don't understand some of the commenters here getting so defensive about the fact that Sunset Overdrive set the groundwork for the traversal design in Spidey, I pretty sure I have read as much from the developers themselves.
I suppose the title of the article is kind of flamebait as I am pretty sure the Spiderman games would have existed regardl...
I don't think it is all doom and gloom, there are lots of new and interesting titles releasing, but I do agree that many publishers are very risk averse which does limit creativity. As someone who does really enjoy sequels for some of my favourite games I do recognise that sequels have their place but I cant help but think that developers get into a rut sticking with same franchises over and over.
For example, imagine if MS had moved on to introduce other blockbusters ...
Such strong foundations should result in such a good result really.
As a predominantly PS5 user, the only thing that bums me out about the game coming to PC is that I feel the devs should have knocked out a proper PS5 version of the game along with this release, but I am hoping we get a surprise announcement before the sequel comes along.
Spot on chief.
I would say however, that there was a lot of negativity in the games media about the game before it released which seemed quite unfair. I recall so many sites being really reductive about Days Gone and complaining about burn out from zombie games or burnout from open world games and to me, it did feel like a lot of the media were out to try and hamstring the game even before it came out.
It's one example for sure, where to my mind, the...
Exactly where my thoughts went squire😄
If true, this does reflect how seriously the government have taken the pandemic to be honest.
Be interested to see how it sells on Xbox and how many will simply wait and hope it reaches GamesPass.
It's a shame if it doesn't sell well on Xbox because the game really does deserve to be recognised for how good it is.
I am not familiar with her work, but she must be very talented to gain a post at Insomniac Games, I look forward to seeing the fruits of her (and the rest of Insomniac's) labour.
I played through Frozen Wilds on PS5 recently and you would never think you were playing a 5+ year old game, it really holds up amazingly well.
I am all up to date, cannot wait to play this sequel, not long now👍
Can you show some respect Bouzebbal, go push your fucking moronic conspiracies somewhere else.
To be honest Monkey, I can't argue with you as I don't use Nintendo's e-store much at all. It would have to be in a heck of a state to be worse than Steam thought hahaha.
Happy new year to you squire.
I would argue that issues around quality control has been an issue on every platform to be honest.
Shuttering Evolution Studio was one of the rare instances that Sony really got it wrong in my opinion.
The Motorstorm games were utterly brilliant, I can only imagine what a modern Motorstorm game would look like. Drive Club was a bit rough at first but quickly developed into a fantastic racer and was one of my all time faves as it gave a really immersive racing experience.
Sony were way too premature in closing Evolution.
Agreed Monkey, I have never touched Fortnight but you have to recognise its impact on the industry over the last few years.
I always thought the Fable series were super over rated too personally, they were quite playable but I couldn't shake the feeling that I was almost playing a kids RPG rather than a full blooded RPG, if you know what I mean. They were just so simple and lacking in depth and story for me.
😆😆
Yeah, that is pretty bonkers to be fair.
You won't get much support on N4G for BotW, there are lots of folk here who believe there is a global conspiracy amongst every games website to give Nintendo games undeserved high scores.
Personally, I am with you, BotW would be on my personal list too, I simply adored that game.
Picked it up for 37 quid squire. I know I could get it for a tenner but I love my physical media, I want it sat on my shelf.
