Some quality taste in games there squire.
I'd add some Baldurs Gate 2 and Neverwinter Nights from back in the day too.
It may not affect the minute to minute gameplay, but it sure as shit has affected the whole design philosophy of the game because it is designed to drive people to use MTs.
I think a lot of the functionality they had on 360 would have happened anyway in respect of the online functionality but all the same, the early days of 360 were pretty good and the achievement stuff was a fantastic, and I think, completely novel addition. I think you have to give MS credit fir standardising a lot of the online stuff on consoles.
Of course, you have to balance that acknowledgement with an appreciation that the hardware was diabolical in respect of reliabil...
Forza was a key reason I picked up my Series X, but I have to say, I don't think Forza has anything to do with sales bumps. At this point, people want the xbox and if MS make em, they will sell regardless of Forza, or Halo for that matter.
At the moment, MS cannot make em quickly enough.
I respect your opinion dude, I can see what you are saying if you want a more focused story driven experience, especially for those who felt the game was a little long.
Personally though, as I said, I loved every moment of that game and hearing the banter between Scully, Nate and Sam was just so enjoyable for me.
Have a cracking day squire 👍
All commendable of course PorkChop, I am not suggesting otherwise, but all the same, they know those memos will leak and in my opinion, that is not good enough. If they are concerned enough that they issue an internal memo, they should also be up front with their communities and issue formal statements on where they stand on this issue, rather than relying on these stories to propagate on the internet.
Just my opinion duder, not looking to argue with anyone.
So you think that the Kotick and the board who have backed him should be free of consequence for the shit Kotick has gotten up to?
Anyone levelling vitriol or hate at the average Activison worker or developer is clearing being a prat, but why shouldn't they hold the people at the top accountable especially when they have committed pretty outrageous acts. Its not cancel culture to boycott a company or their products to try and influence these corporations because the re...
In what way am I am prima-donna, I have said nothing that suggests I have an inflated ego or anything? I am just pointing out that these companies issuing internal memos that are then 'leaked' is not the same as them coming out and openly condemning Kotick for threatening to have an employee killed and the other heinous shit he did.
If Sony, MS and Ninty want to speak out against that behaviour then they should do so more directly than leaking internal memos.
I am playing Kena at the moment, what a fabulous game, it pairs nicely with my playthrough of Gears of War 5. A little bit of shooty, shooty gritty action and a little bit of cutesy, cutesy platform/combat, I am having a great time playing these two titles at the moment.
Interestingly, whilst they both try and provide a sense of non-linearity with their open areas they are in truth both linear games. I cannot wait to finish work and get the pups their final walk of the da...
I couldn't disagree more about the 'wide-linear' chapter in Uncharted 4, I thought that was a perfect blend of linear story telling with just the right amount of exploration. I loved finding the hidden treasures, notes and collectibles on that stage, there were hidden nooks and crannies all over that map.
Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo are complete cowards in respect of their response to these Activision revelations. All of them have stuck with internal emails or memos which then get 'leaked' to the media rather than coming out against Bobby Kotick with full blooded public statements.
The big three want their cake and to eat it as far as I am concerned, they want the community to think they are responding to the accusations but don't want to rock the boat too mu...
@Dbcoops
That is literally bollocks, I have complimented plenty of people, both male or female over the years whether its a cool pair of trainers a male worker has worn or a new haircut being sported by a female colleague and there is never any trouble.
Do you know why? Because they were sincere compliments and no creepy undertones. If a female coworker came to the office with a new haircut, me saying that it looks nice is not landing me in front of HR, no matter...
And what are these assertions based on exactly?
Perhaps the guy is a predator? How would you feel if your wife, sister, daughter or mother came home from work and told you she was facing sexual harassment? Would you be so quick to dismiss their claims?
People in these positions are not quiting or getting fired based of wooly, baseless accusations.
The Artful Escape really stood out to me as a fantastic game and is definitely one of my favourite games of the year.
Probably one of my favourite Chistmas holidays was the 2 weeks I lost in Skyrim 10 years ago, I don't think I have been immersed in a game that much before or since.
I am not saying I haven't played games I like more, but there was something about that game at that time that was just magical and clicked with me.
Honestly, MS acquiring Bethesda was a major factor in me snagging my Series X last month.
@Stotty, I never said it was removed only from Gamepass and removing it completely so it can no longer be purchased us even more troublesome when MS try to push the narrative that they care about game preservation more than their competitors.
Come on, are you for real? This isn't some long forgotten title, this is a 3 year old game in a huge Xbox franchise. You cannot bang on about game preservation when you are removing previous titles in franchises like Forza that are completely under the control of MS. If game preservation was a key priority I should be able to replay any of those games in the Forza/Forza Horizon series.
The rest of your comments are quite childish so I'll not bother to discuss Son...
Visit various games sites for xbox, Nintendo and Sony and cannot say I have seen any "clamour" for any of those 20 new games, perhaps with the exception of Skate, but those conversations are in relation to the desire for a new Skate title.
I am far from in my own echo chamber having recently scored an Xbox Series X, I am thoroughly enjoying playing all the Gears titles again and cannot wait to start Gears 5 this coming weekend.
Interesting to s...
"At Xbox, we believe in celebrating gaming and preserving its legacy"
Can't help but think these words ring completely hollow when they have just removed Forza 7. I also cannot say I have heard any clamour for any of these titles to be added to the BC library.
Really keen to play this, but I will wait for my physical copy on PS5 that I recently pre ordered. Pretty confident it will be a better version than the Switch from my perspective as I never use the Switch as a handheld.
