If they are developing a game and identify that the game is going to be a chore to play through then they should address these issues with good game design and make the game more compelling. The idea that you can make a game with poor pacing or poor game design and sell loot crates to address those issues is laughable.
Having said that, I am personally excited to play the game and I am hopeful for a very positive critical reception, I want the game to be good so I can enjo...

Squire, I am not going to spend my evening googling to demonstrate all of MS's dodgy, anti trust shenanigans over the last 40 years, suffice it to say, MS are way ahead of the competition as far as anti consumer dealings are concerned.
You only have to look at the evidence around the design failings of 360 with RRoD, failings they knew about before launch, to let you know what they think of the gaming consumer.
The more I see the better it looks, really excited to see how this title turns out.
I am hoping I can resist the lure of Mario because I would prefer to wait for a bigger library before picking up the Switch.....its going to be tough to resist when Mario hits though, especially when I am already gagging to play Zelda BotW.

I am old enough to remember that MS were a horrible company long before they got into the console market and in my opinion, they are treating the games industry like every other market they get involved in. They only care about maximising their profits without caring at all about the industry itself. They have no intention of investing in game development per se, they just want the consumer to buy their box.

My point is, good art design will always trump technical performance, moreover, good game design is the most important aspect of a videogame; a crap video game with good graphics is still a crap videogame. It is simply convenient for MS to change the narrative from exciting new games to performance being the most important consideration because they are providing nothing in the way of game development.

And this is where the argument for more powerful consoles falls down for me. There is another 3D platform game launching a little earlier than this title, a game with nowhere near the resolution and with a slower framerate but it still looks infinitely more fun.
That game will outsell this many times over, will receive critical and commercial success that poor old Lucky could only dream of.......that game is Mario Odyssey.

I personally enjoy varied characters, their sex doesn't affect my enjoyment of a game in the slightest and I am glad that we are seeing more variety in this medium . Its cool that some of my fave games this year have used a female protagonist Horizon, Gravity Rush 2 and Nier were absolutely stellar.
I usually cut the big publishers some slack with a lot of the hate they receive online however, this is pretty scandalous behaviour. It seems like a pretty standard corporate procedure to me unfortunately, I recall Microsoft pulling this kind of stunt regularly, way before they got into the console busines.
I kinda regret getting the Platinum in a single play through now as I would love an excuse to jump back in, GG have done a great job in adding features since launch. The expansion cannot come quickly enough, cannot wait!
I personally really enjoy Ubisoft's titles and think that Watchdogs 2 was a pretty fantastic game with a great world to explore with just the right tonal balance of fun and gritty plot and characters. I think the problem with Ubisoft is that too many of their different series share the same mechanics so the repetition is way more noticeable.

Utter nonsense, it was delayed because the comments and feedback coming out of E3 and PAX were overwhelmingly negative, it is clear that the game is, at best, average, and they are hoping they can rescue it with more dev time.

By all means, go through my comments, I have never commented when the PS4 had "better versions" of games because I am not a pathetic manbaby. I have commented on many other aspects of MS's practices and issues, sure I have, but anytime you have to freezeframe a game and zoom in to spot differences I just roll my eyes and think 'what's the point'.
The fact remains, Assassins Creed has not enjoyed this much attention...
I love MGS games and I personally loved MGS5, while I agree the story wasn't as good as the story in the other titles in the series, I still really enjoyed it.
For me, it was the gameplay that I absolutely adored, I was so hooked, the stealth gameplay was so satisfying.....i am so tempted to play it again having seen all this fuss and discussion.
