Pretty weak list in my opinion, lots of copies of those games were sold so there will be plenty of those in the wild.
I honestly think WiiU is worth collecting for now, while it's cheap. The console didn't sell well, the software even less so and as a result, these games will be much harder to find 20 years from now. Worst case scenario, the games dont appreciate in value in future, you still get to find out just how great a lot of the titles are on WiiU now.
I prefer trophies over achievements by a country mile personally and something I do like that achievements don't have is that it displays the rarity of the trophy among those who have played the game. For example, it's cool knowing less that 1 percent of people who played a particular title have earned a trophy you have, it's helps you determine just how difficult it was to earn.
There is no argument that tracking would be awesome to have, but MS don't have...
I concur squire, a great combo!
Gotta say, i love my WiiU for what it is, a place to play Nintendo exclusives, it doesn't deserve the hate it gets and has some belting games. I use it to play all the Wii games I missed too as I never owned a Wii.
In theory maybe, in practice, it's a chance for collectors or scalpers to get hold of them while genuine fans of a given title miss out.
Scalpers will no doubt make a killing on EBay down the line. It's a shame that genuine fans of the game will largely miss out while collectors will sniffle them just to sit them on their shelves.
Both the Sony and MS consoles are being marketed as iterative releases too, they were never built or marketed as offering 'new experiences' as such, they just offer a little more muscle to up the resolution. It is completely disingenuous to compare the SWITCH with the PRO or XB1X.
So what new experiences is the SWITCH offering then, because other than being portable, the games themselves look like more of the same Nintendo fare.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Nintendo exclusives but everything they have released or shown could easily have been done on WiiU or the other consoles for that matter. If you can demonstrate that the new games are completely new experiences that are only possible due to new technology then I will agree with your headline...
Hmmm, some great games there but also some I wouldn't recommend as "must plays".
Why anyone would pick Dying Light, Wildlands or Just Cause over the likes of Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, Noih, Tomb Raider, Ratchet and Clank, Ori and the Blind Forest or The Phantom Pain I don't know!
That's not to say Dying Light, Just Cause 3 or Wildlands are poor games, quite the opposite, they are really good. But that title reads as a kind of you ...
Shame on all the naysayers in my opinion. I get pretty frustrated by the poor attitude of the games media and portions of the game playing public who's first instinct is to be negative about games before they release.
Too many games fall victim to completely unjustified negativity before they release and this is a perfect example of when the media got it completely wrong and kicked up a fuss for what? Clicks to their shitty websites.
All that vitriol...
Heck of a list of games, cannot wait for October to pick up my Switch, hoping for a sweet Mario bundle.
Fair enough squire, but that is just your opinion, it is not objective. To say something is objectively better means you have removed any personal opinions and that the matter is a proven fact.
I guess there is no need to come across so strong on my side so I apologise for my tone mate, but to reiterate, the Nintendo games are better in your opinion, they are not objectively better. Have a good day fella 👍
What a load of cobblers! Nintendo's track record where exclusives are concerned speaks for itself, they know what they are doing moreover, what they have shown so far looks incredible. I was in no rush to pick up a Switch until E3 came along and I saw how good Mario looked.
To be fair, the are some pilocks in here but most people seem to have a more balanced opinion.....mist like you, appreciate how good the SWITCH is but acknowledge its shortcoming too.
This article is bunk but I expect nothing less from Whatculture Gaming, if you watch there stuff on YouTube they are all really self satisfied and snarky and rarely have anything positive to say about anything.
What a ridiculous comment. How on earth can you claim 'game x' is objectively better than 'game z'?
For some, Horizon will be the best game released this year, for others in May well be Zelda....for others it might be Call of Duty or FIFA, for others it might be Tacoma or Edith Finch. Don't even think about using Metacritic as justification, that rating is based on the opinions of reviewers.
Now, i love Nintendo and I am excited to p...
Well, I still love my WiiU and I am sure I will be just as fond of my Switch when I get it in October for Mario. I am happy for Nintendo's machine to play second fiddle to my PS4, it's a perfect combo.
Platinum-ed J&D arou d a year ago on PS3 and enjoyed every minute of it, fantastic game.
Cannot wait to play Uncharted though, my fave game series on PlayStation.
If it was a console exclusive it might have tempted a few to buy an Xbox but the fact that it is coming to PS4 once it is out of early access means it won't make any difference at all. Only a good dozen or so true, AAA exclusives would change things now and that isn't on the cards for sure.
Blimey, you start by condemning people for comparing business information and then join right in with the second part of your comment.....doh!
I don't play online much at all, I bought TF2 for the single player and I have to say, it was more than worth it, in my opinion it was an incredible campaign. My only gripe is with that damn time trial trophy which I cannot pop to this day and is the only one I need for the Platinum......grrrrr!
