Look, i can tell you for a fact, the leap from 1080P to 4K is very noticeable. The leap from 4K checkerboard to native 4K, not so much. This has been stated in DF vids in the past.
You can use all the hardware and software you like to quantify it, but the moment you have to zoom in x10 to spot these differences, like they do on DF videos, the point is lost. When playing the game you don't notice the difference at all really especially when you are not running the dif...
And that for me, demonstrates how out of touch the MS hierarchy are.
Didn't know much about this before GamesCon, now it's definitely on my radar, it looks fantastic!
How on earth this guy is still in gainful employment in this industry is beyond me, he is an utterly deluded cretin who treats the community like they are morons. For me, a talisman for all that is wrong with the Xbox brand.
The more I see the more I am anticipating this title, it Looks absolutely stellar.
I bought my WiiU around 3 years ago but never played it much at all once I got my fill of Mariokart but I recently decided to play it because I am going to defer buying a Switch until it's library reaches a point that makes sense to me.
I took the opportunity to buy all the top rated Wii games (I never owned a Wii) and all the top WiiU games and I have to say that now, my WiiU is enjoying as much game time as my PS4. It's crazy how many great games are available on...
Agreed, there will always be that element of any community that are happy to upgrade, I am one of them as I didn't hesitate to buy my PRO on the day it released.
The problem I foresee is that this console will, for the most part, appeal to gamers who already own an Xbox. As a result I just don't see the console making a dent in Sony's dominant market share this generation. While thus console is going to be fantastic for some I don't believe it will be enou...
I just don't see a market for this game that will dictate the need to support it that long, while it will appeal to some, I just don't see it appealing to the masses.
From start to finish this game had me gripped, great story, fantastic characters and a very cool and believable villain.
Most of all, I really enjoyed the opportunity to explore the characters back story in more detail, Chloe and Nadine were utterly brilliant characters. I would definitely buy another game in this series.
Having just finished the Lost Legacy I can confidently state that the franchise absolutely can survive without Drake. The game was 9 hours of utter brilliance.
I don't know a single friend or colleague for who this is a problem, it's simply a slight of hand by MS and their more toxic fans to distract the community from the real issues with the Xbox brand.
Nothing 'exceptionally average' about this title in my opinion, I thought it was fantastic and really does look incredible on base consoles and even more so on Pro. The fact that it looks a little better again on XB1X is pretty cool for those who haven't played it, it isn't really getting another release, merely a patch.
I will preface this comment by stating that I do love Nintendo however, it is completely unfair to criticise 3rd party devs for this situation.
Nintendo decided to release a hybrid console that is very underpowered compared to the other systems and it is this lack of power that has limited what 3rd parties can release on SWITCH.
Gotta say, i would take Uncharted: Lost Legacy, a new game that looks incredible, over a patch to a game that is 2 years old and also looked incredible at the time I played it on Pro.
If all Xbox has to offer is visual improvements that you need Digital Foundry's analysis equipment to identify then I will stick with the PlayStation, just like the many millions of others who are more interested in a games library than pixel counting.
Don't get me w...
Regardless of where your preference lies, these kinds of articles need to stop. Utterly pathetic attempt to lure traffic to another 2 bit website.
I concur, such a great series. I love 3d platformers and J&D is up there among my faves.
As long as you respect the fact that this is an older game you will have the most fun. I loved these titles back in the day and got the Platinum in the HD remake on the PS3 and I am again, really tempted to play it again. The gameplay is super satisfying but it's the characters more than anything else that drag me back.
Absolute nonsense and I will tell you why, I am a PC gamer, as are many of my workmates and friends and guess what, we all enjoy games of all kinds and when they do appear on a console I will buy them.
I have heard this kind of talk about the likes of Elite: Dangerous, City Skylines, Battlefield, XCom, Diablo 3, Shadow Tactics.....the list goes on, but these are just recent examples that come to mind. The only thing that restricts certain genres is the control method but c...
What a ridiculous article. Of course it should release on multiple platforms, while many associate the series with PlayStation, it is not a Sony franchise.
I also disagree with thus idea that Xbox gamers will not buy it because it's not a gritty shooter. Last time I checked Xbox gamers like good games too, if this game is good there will be a market for it on Xbox.
