Personally, I think the game looks good and once they finish polishing I am sure it will look even better.
Well I will be purchasing it, I feel the game is showing huge potential and the still have 8 months of development time left.
I am so excited to play this game. Watching that gameplay so intense, I cannot imagine how much more that tension will be amplified when I get to play it myself.
So you get to decide when it's acceptable or believable to portray these kind of characterisations. Give me an example of when it has been shoehorned into a story, just to help me grasp what you are suggesting.
Anyone who enjoys fully fleshed out, interesting and well written characters are getting what they wanted.
Being jaded because ND consistently excel, that doesn't compute for me.
I didn't realise only gay people were allowed to enjoy media with homosexual content. Is this how it works for other factors as well? I am pretty sure the percentages are even lower per capita for people who are space marines, anthropomorphised bandicoots, lightning quick hedgehogs, elves and time travellers etc.
@GrimDragon
Thanks for the debate chief, it's refreshing to see balanced and respectful conversations here and like you, I guess we should agree to disagree.
My only comment would be that sexual orientation shouldn't be considered in the same way as those other socially unacceptable things you referenced, but I know you were looking to demonstrate your point of view and I am sure you don't see these things as comparable.
For me, sexua...
Agreed Bearded, boy has this comments section depressed me today, so many absolute scumbags hang around here.
Are you seriously suggesting that it's only believable to have gay characters in a work of fiction when the story is set in a doomsday scenario?
If you read the rest of the comment, I go on to expand on my assertion squire. Sampling a small section of a larger comment because you cannot counter my points is quite telling I would suggest.
Sure, I believe that, but it doesn't prove a thing at this point. They hardly have a stellar record for giving creative freedom to studios besides which, the only noteworthy studio was Ninja Theory. As stated above, I will believe it when we see actual games, of the same quality as Sony and Nintendo, releasing with regularity.
How many chances do you want to give them, they have been promising new games for 8 or 9 years but yet again, we are stuck with the usual trife...
Your argument is flawed, by your rationale, you can only enjoy media if you are able to relate directly with the protagonist. I'll have to move to your neighbourhood, you must have space rangers like Masterchief nearby, you must have people nearby who have fought in doomsday scenarios like Marcus Pheonix. Wow, you must have, transformed into a fox who can fly spaceships, into a plumber who rescues princesses, fought zombies in Raccoon City.
Whether you like it or not,...
I would direct the writer of this article to E3 2015 where they made promises even more bold than the ones made this year and how much of that came to fruition, next to non of it (althou it did dupe me into buying an Xbox). And the run lies the problem for me, I just don't believe a single word out of Spencer's mouth, they need to demonstrate a commitment not talk about it, yet again!
I sure hope you are joking!
So explain to me how you are able to determine that a given game is pushing an agenda as opposed to just including a variety of characters.
Walk up any street in your town or city commercial centre, is everyone white, male or heterosexual? I am guessing not, I can walk out of my front right now onto a fairly quiet residential street and there will be people of all cultures, age, sex, sexual orientations, political pursuasions etc.
Including this variety...
As a look at my comment history will demonstrate, I am a Sony fan first and foremost; I would like to think I am a fan rather than a fanboy.
In my opinion, I think MS had the better conference this year, I think the production values were better and the pacing of the show was superb. I do however, feel that they missed the opportunity to deal a knockout blow because they still seem to be relying on the same franchises that they have relied on for the last 10 years and thei...
Not quite for me, but certainly the best surprise of E3 in my opinion. I adore Nioh, a sequel is fabulous news!
The issue I see is that none of those studios have the history or skill of Sony's biggest and best.
I think I would have preferred to see MS create a 1 or 2 brand new studios than buy 5 quite average (if we are brutally honest) studios.
Cool, but I am not a MP gamer so I really hope that they don't have trophies tied to MP. I got the platinum trophy in every ND game on PS3 and PS4 with the exception of both versions of The Last of Us, simply because they have two online trophies that required serious dedication to that mode.
Blimey does the game look insane, I cannot wait to play it!
