@Eizhale
Erm, where in the 1st game did she infect anyone squire?

I have completed that game 7 or 8 times and never spotted that happen. If you are referring to when she bit David, she only said that he was infected to sew the seed of doubt between David and his group in order to create an opportunity to escape.

No matter how hopeful the E3 confernce made people, its clear from the subsequent interviews and so on that MS aren't really changing tack. Their obsession with power doesn't matter in the slightest, they need to deliver games, I mean, how the hell can they be so blind to the fact?

You look at Horizon, God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, Spiderman, Tsushima, Uncharted 4, The Last of Us 2, Death Stranding and so on and you quickly realise that the PlayStation is pla...

For me, I have never seen anything like TLoU2, it even surpasses Uncharted 4 and Detroit which are insanely impressive in their own right. It's fair to say, Naughty Dog really are the best in the business where animation and facial animation are concerned.

In respect of facial animation, I have said this elsewhere, and this is just a personal preference thing, but the dated art style of GoW leads to these weirdly proportioned characters trying to act realistically and that really hinders me buying into any drama being portrayed. I also didn't think the facial animation was anywhere near the likes of Uncharted 4, TLoU2, Death Stranding, Tsushima etc.

I would put it on par with the likes of Tomb Raider, Horizon Zero Dawn a...

I dont understand how anyone can look at the gameplay shown at Sony's E3 presentation and not dwell on why MS haven't delivered anything of this quality and moreover, dont appear to intend to deliver those kinds of experiences in future.

The kind of statement covered in this article does suggest that they have no intention of diverting from the path they have committed too and are just paying lip service to those Xbox fans who do demand more from the platform holde...

Utterly brilliant game and definitely shouldn't be missed by the Xbox community, you guys are in for a treat.

Having said that, while the art style is fabulous, it really is far from being a good looking game, it really does look like a last gen game.

However, the models are so freakishly proportioned that the female characters still look like Brock Leaner.

@Tankbusta
That is complete bollocks squire.

Naughty Dog and DICE have had to make those kinds of statements in order to defend their right to create the games they want to make, that is not being provocative.

If people complaining about a female lead protagonist in GoW5 gained traction, you would soon see similar responses from The Coalition looking to defend their creative freedom.

The problem for me is, they are trying to tell these meaningful, impactful stories and there is a disconnect between that and the cartoon freakishness of the art style, I just find it 'cheesy' I guess.

Don't get me wrong here, I have liked the Gears games well enough over the years, but I feel like they have run there course and it's time for MS to give it a rest or maybe explore a reboot.

I just dont buy it squire, ultimately, MS are paying the bills and will have the final say on which projects get greenlit.

I feel like the series needs a revamp personally. The art style is really showing its age in my opinion, the models looked the way they did in GoW1 because of the Unreal engine, most other Unreal developed games had that 'chunky' look too back then. I just think it looks a bit silly these days, the humans look ridiculously proportioned and while the models and texture work look great, I just feel that the artstyle is kinda hokey and dated.

They are clearly very talented, but if we look at MS's handling of their first party studios, they will be stuck iterating on the same franchise for the foreseeable future until the franchise is driven into the ground at which point they will be shuttered. If you have true aspirations of greatness, surrendering creative control to an organisation who take absolutely no creative risks is a bad move.

I was worried when Sony switched to the intermission but that concern quite quickly evaporated once they started showing the games. While I think there were some pacing issues with the presentation, this was rendered insignificant, for me, by the quality of the games and more importantly dazzling gameplay, that was shown.

MS did a great job this year with regards to the presentation, but they still demonstrated the same behaviours and patterns that I find very off putting....

More than deserved, I hope the company and all its employees are sat on piles of cash, they have brought entertainment to millions upon millions of people across all of their games.

For me, I feel that the Last of Us is the best game I have ever played closely followed by Bloodborne and with BioShock rounding out my top 3 personal favourite games.

The characters and storytelling in TLoU blows my mind even today, I haven't seen anything come close to i...

Nobody is indoctrinating anyone you utter imbecile, you are simply a moron who hides his bigotry behind some perceived threat from people who's only agenda is to seek equality. Not once have I ever met a homosexual who was determined to 'indoctrinate' anyone, are you seriously suggesting gay people are seeking to convert you to a homosexual orientation?

So had that intimate scene included women you found more attractive you would have no issue with the lesbian scene? What a pathetic rationale, are you 14 years old?

It never ceases to amaze me how entitled and dramatic sections of society are. We don't get to dictate how the creators of other media apply their creativity, what the he'll makes these cry babies think they should be able to dictate how this piece of work is formed.

The most disappointing thing for me is the complete lack of respect shown to CD Project, a company who have a proven track record of delivering quality products and moreover, a company that has shown g...

But I have already bought Detroit, Nino Kuni 2 and God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, MLB, Yakuza and Dragons Crown Pro this year.

While perhaps not as mainstream, I am still anticipating the likes of Catherine Full Body, Fist of the NorthStar and the Zone of the Enders remake all of which are expected on PS4 this year.

Trying to draw conclusions from the fact that Sony and MS have only one 'mainstream' exclusive remaining this year is completely...

Ever heard of a pretty famous WW2 British pilot called Douglas Bader? The guy had two prosthetic legs and went back to flying Spitfires once he recovered from his injuries.

I was also at the Imperial War Museum in London 2 weeks ago and saw the prosthetic limbs given to WW1 veterans, they look exactly like the one portrayed in this game.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter, it's a work of fiction, having women in a combat zone is ...

How on earth can you back that statement based a a 10 minute video?

Don't get me wrong, I adore Nioh but until I play Tsushima I wouldn't be able to say which I prefer. Luckily, PlayStation gamers don't have to choose, we get to play both of these fantastically promising games.
