I agree, I was surprised that a remastered RDR wasn't released with improved textures etc, seems like leaving money on the table to me.
I enjoyed Greg's content going all the way back to IGN but I recently unsubscribed to his podcast because I just got bored of hearing the same content every day. I feel like going to a daily format was overkill, nobody needs that much Greg, but I also never really liked any of the co hosts enough to tune in daily.
I still love me some Giantbomb as far as podcasts and video content is concerned.
Utterly incredible game in every way, if it does arrive on Xbox that community should support it and demonstrate to Japanese devs and publishers that there is a market for these kinds of games on Xbox.
I just replaced my UK copy with a Japanese import which has all the DLC on the disk, looking forward to replaying it and picking up a Platinum trophy.
Pretty silly question really, as a trophies value will be determined by the individual gamer. Only one of my friends went after trophies and we did go through a spell of competing so I acknowledge that for the majority of gamers, trophies are not a concern. However I personally value them, particularly on games that I really enjoy. Earning a Platinum on Bloodborne for example, left me feeling really excited and proud of myself even if it had no tangible value, the same with Horizon or Unc...
I played it very recently and still had a good time however, you are correct, like most games from that era, time hasn't been kind. It was really fascinating going over the teams and reminiscing about old players and teams....I forgot Phil Babb even existed as a Liverpool fan 🤣🤣
I agree with your sentiments completely but, I cannot blame people for wanting an authentic experience even if the gameplay isnt as good as PES. I think FIFA should be held accountable for giving a monopoly to EA in the first place, surely healthy competition is a good thing and would stop EA resting on their laurels in the way they have.
Oh god how I miss Sensi, nothing has come close in my humble opinion.
You might argue that for most of the footballing community, including either is a pointless exercise. The Scottish Prem and the teams in it are a joke for the majority of the footballing world and these teams wouldnt even register as a blip on the radar for most.
I do love my Switch but I think it's fair to say that it feels like the buzz and hype for the platform is fading a little
I would urge you to give Zelda another try, it gets better and better the more you play it. I wouldn't say it's as good as Horizon but it's still a great game.
Personally, I preferred Horizon, I was hooked and wanted to keep playing long after I earned the platinum, however, Breath of the Wild was still a tremendous game and as a long time Zelda fan (I played the original on NES when it released) I thought it brought the franchise right up to date.
I don't understand people who claim to 'still have reservations' about this game when all of the previews are so positive, and, more importantly, there are countless hours of footage on YouTube showing what looks to be fantastic gameplay.
Cannot wait to play this personally.
Yeah, I have to agree with you here Foxtrot. Bioshock is simply a masterpiece, it still holds up as a playing experience today in my opinion (I replayed it just a few months ago in fact) but I think it is also a historically important game in respect of the gaming landscape.
While Infinite was a tremendous game, and maybe deserving of high scores, I still dont think it can hold a candle to the original game and I certainly dont think it has the same impact on gaming cultur...
Perhaps this site should revisit their scoring system because any site worth their salt would tell you that a 5/5 or 10/10 is not an indication of a 'perfect game', it is simply an indication that the game is recommeded without reservation or is unmissable.
Touting that you have never given a game a perfect scrore suggests to me that your scoring system needs work or revision, it doesnt suggest that you are more discerning in any way.
By way of ex...
So far it is my favourite game this year and I would suggest that Spiderman and Red Dead Redemption 2 will have to be pretty stellar to better GOW.
I keep thinking that if either of the above mentioned titles do somehow manage to better GOW, then I am going to be in gaming heaven never been a better time to be a PlayStation gamer, that's for sure.
It is truly impressive just how well Sony has done with this generation, but I think it is no accident.
Accross every generation, Sony have consistently invested in great software and established a proven track record for developing great games. In my opinion, Sony were the company that turned gaming into a more mainstream pastime, taking gaming away from the perception of being a kids/adolescent hobby and making gaming cool to the masses.

I only needed a guide to find 1 of the conversations, I got everything else on my own.
It's my favourite game and I have finished it around 8 times between PS3 and PS4, I have also got the plat in every Naughty Dog title since Uncharted on PS3, so I think that's why I find the Plat for TLOU so tantalising.
I can sympathise with the writer of this article completely, I enjoy and hate trophies/achievements in equal measure. I just can't seem to switch my brain off to ignore trophies, but I find them a slog at the same time.
I am playing through Last of Us again currently and after this play through I will have earned every single player trophy but, it drives me mad that I won't get a Platinum because of the bloody MP trophies, to the point that I am considering playin...
Not quite sure what you find so funny, game looked ridiculously good. You have fun counting pixels though squire!
