Almost hit agree on your comment. Then I caught your name. Keep it up though.
Not a bad score for MAG. After they patch it a few times and address some minor concerns it sounds like it could be great.
That's not that bad. If you're old school you remember playing these games over 4 discs. If there's an install option just install it and don't even worry about switching discs.
I mean it works out for the consumer, obviously. But don't all these price cuts give the impression that MS knows it needs to be the cheaper of the three? I think the 199.99 price point is perfect. Remember guys, PAtcher is the same guy that keeps saying XBL gold will be 10.00 USD per month.
if he said it I must've missed it. My mistake if so. Wouldn't be hard to miss a quick sentence when that Erik is making noise non-stop.
They could have 10 gbs as far as I'm concerned. Heavy Rain, this, and FFXIII = me doing very poorly on all my finals this semester.
Add on content in the form of a time trial or horde mode (one player as Kratos and the other player as Ares?). Either way it's good to know that they're going to support the game long term...not that I would ever trade this game in.
on a different note, the show was pretty good this week. Props to Blacksmith for pointing out the hypocrisy in defending PC gaming but bashing Home when both have a niche audience.
Show is a much easier listen when Tor grabs the reins and stops everyone from speaking at once.
but if you read my post, I said you asked the guys which one they liked better. And for no reason than to sh!t on Uncharted 2 by comparing to a game that is nothing like Uncharted 2.
I'm an RPG guy. I enjoy a good RPG more than a good shooter. I'm looking forward to FFXIII and the next Fallout more than any game this gen...including God of War III. You ask which me which one I enjoy and I'll probably say the RPG. But why ask that? What does one have to do with the other? You jus...
"hmmm, Uncharted 2 is getting a lot of love lately. I gotta hate on it. When is MS going to come out with an exclusive that I can say trumps Uncharted 2. Oh wait, Mass Effect 2 is out. Now I can ask the guys what game is better: Uncharted 2 or Mass Effect 2. Never mind that the two games have nothing in common. I'm going to ask the question and roll in the fanboy hate."
To be a contrarian.
First of all, relax. Is Bryan Intihar your cousin or something? I'm a Resistance fan. So much so that in anticipation of R2 I began listening to the Insomniac podcast. Now while Bryan's official title was community manager or whatever you said, he did give a lot of input to the devs and level designers. If you want to go back and listen to those podcasts to verify this you can. And his input related to some of my biggest gripes with the game. Perhaps I blamed him too much, but he was their bi...
The days where I looked for a PS3 exclusive to vindicate my purchase and assure me that the PS3 could do games with the same level of visual fidelity as 360 exclusives (namely Gears) are over. PS3 has already flexed it's graphical muscle.
It'd be nice if it were able to come close to KZ2 type visuals while keeping that Resistance feel to the controls. Next game should be set in a post-apocolyptic environment as it seems !!!!SPOILERS!!! that the aliens have arrived and practicall...
Fire Bryan Intihar who came in and decided to make R2 more like Halo. I want R3 to take it back to what R1 felt like, i.e.: environments that feel like real places; weapons that are new and crazy; the ability to hold all my weapons at once; and try, if you can, to give us a story that makes up for the debacle of R2.
The multiplayer was awesome for R2. Keep it as is. We don't need a Mag like experience but vehicles on some maps would be great. And commit to giving us more co-op mi...
if you show in-game footage it's too easy for people to dismiss your game for not looking better than (insert game x). And don't forget, polishing a game is usually the last thing to happen.
in this case, when it drops down to about 20 bucks or so. I'm in the miniority here in that I didn't think GTA4 was all that bad. It let me down but it wasn't horrific. I'll probably play the DLC at some point but with so many really really really good games out or coming out soon there's no sense spending money on this.
Here's to GTA5.
Michael Patcher needs to realize there is a world outside of the U.S. that buys PS3 games in droves. WHat's going on with U.S. PS3 owners? I don't know. He's right, we don't buy games like our 360 counterparts. I'm sure the guys on here and other forums are picking up these games but why they still don't have that big attach rate is a mystery to me. To return to my point, it's not like Heavy Rain is a charity case. It'll do well overseas and probably so so over here. Uncharted 2 only "st...
I fully expect reviews for this to be all over the place. And by all over the place I mean an 8-10 on most sites and a 4 from Edge.
I won't pay full price for something available on the other console for a year plus. Held my ground with Bioshock, Ninja Gaiden, and Lost Planet. Not to mention me having so many complaints with GTA4. I didn't sell my copy in time and right now it's not worth it to sell it so maybe I'll pick this up at some point. Right now there are too many good AAA games coming out.
Wow. That's unexpected. Still a great score. Trust me, I get an A- on an exam and I'm partying like I won the championship.
Hope to enjoy Bioware's masterpiece soon.
Much the same way a director might say something like you should only watch my film once and then reflect on what you saw and what you want to believe happened.
The really artsy types with the artsy vision will make outlandish statements like that because their vision is to not have their game tainted or trivialized through repeated play throughs. I imagine Cage is saying he wants the player to get to the scene where the player, for example, confronts the killer and decides wheth...
me playing it several times and then me making people that don't regularly play games play it to see that games are more than they ever thought they are.
Really hope the game is good. I'd hate for it to turn out bad. If that happens we might not see another game like this (i.e. catered to an adult/mature crowd) for a long long time.
Sony needs a major holiday release to go along with Resistance 3, Infamous 2, Last Guardian, and whatever other games you wanna throw out there. 1st quarter is too congested with games. Why not hold this one back to headline your Fall releases? I know we all want it now but patience is a virtue. God of War III, FFXIII, Heavy Rain, and whatever else should be more than enough to make the time pass.
