I can't explain why that is for everyone but I can offer you this: I have no interest in Move but I have even less interest in Natal because A) I don't own a 360 and B) I think "me" being the controller is the most ridiculous games related thing I've ever heard of since the Virtual Boy.

So when an article rips Natal I'll probably not even read it unless it has something to that effect in the headline. Has Kotaku or any other site done a story on Natal lagging? If so the...

"I dont think MS didnt show Natal because they though the media would nitpick it apart but because its still having issue[s]"

I think we're actually in agreement on this. My point wasn't that MS is smart in not showing Natal out of fear of the media picking it apart but rather that it was smart to hold it back if it is in fact having issues because the media would rip it apart. Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

And in no way am I trying to point out some ...

Exactly. "Everyone" to that guy is him. He's everyone in his mind. So he left with doubts about it and now everyone else did as well.

1) It's not the final product. It's still in development.

2) This is what you get for letting the press preview something that isn't done. MS is smart for limiting the press' access to Natal. Smart in that you avoid sites picking apart and critiquing something that, again, is not the final product.

Disagree all you want but don't you think it's a little premature to start ripping this thing for having some lag when it's not even done yet? And I'm not even a fan of t...

because he thinks it's funny that people look to the comments and not the article itself. So he'll post false information to get people all worked up. For some reason he only does that for PS3 articles. You never see him do that stuff in 360 stories. Wonder why.

although I can only dream of Shane B. (formerly of 1up) leaving Ignition and taking the job.

Roper, I hope you find work. This is a rough market and everyone's looking to slim their budget. I'm sure someone will pick you up as you're a knowledgeable and professional journalist.

I thought Arkham Asylum, for example, was gorgeous. I guess like anything it all depends on the dev using it. I think the real problem was when so many people were using the engine that games began to all look the same. The faults in the engine stood out all the more because of the over-exposure. Worst part about this was being a PS3 only owner in 2007 when devs were clearly having trouble using the Unreal Engine on PS3 games.

As far as them maintaining visual leadership....I got...

Freezing issues! Well I guess this lends credence to all those reviews that scored the game lower on the PS3 version. Thank goodness Kotaku is around to report what other sites wouldn't! /s

This mistake, your statement that God of War 3 can be done on the 360 (despite not having the tech background to make such a statement), and then you re-tweet some Sony fanboy story? smh. Even 360 fanboys should be ashamed of this guy.

see: http://www.thebitbag.com/20... for GOW3 comments and some other very funny statements.

I really don't understand why someone who wants to be considered legitimate would spend even a second writing for or doing anything for fanboys. Focus on the gamers. Fanboys are some weird subset that don't deserve time.

These guys don't realize but the more they try to play fanboys against each other the more they come off like fanboys.

It's not the 360's "fault." In fact, I'd say Square did an amazing job on the PS3 version: faster loads, much better visuals, one disc, etc. What did they sacrifice by putting the game on 360 also? Nothing.

First of all, how many of us had interest in the move that's gone down because of the prospective cost? No one.

Second, so we're bishing about the cost of buying a controller for your friends to game on? Haven't we had to buy an extra controller for a bud to play on for awhile now? I mean, for almost every console that didn't come with two controllers in the box? Give it a break!

Third, only Sony has to be amazing and perfect in everything. The friggin thing isn't ev...

Bubbles. You nailed it. I'll admit Valve makes fun games but I'm not losing sleep or bummed out that I don't own a 360 and can't play them. In fact, next month I'll be able to play them on my Mac :). But anyway, I agree. I have no prob with Valve. My prob is with Gabe and his uber fanboy comments in regards to the PS3. The fact that fanboys like Jason360 come running into these types of stories and miss the point completely is both sad and hilarious.

I'm not going to bash the 360 version because I seriously doubt that's why the game is so linear. I just wish the team hadn't scrapped what I loved about FF games (exploration, meeting NPC at my leisure, discovering new weapons/spells in towns or other locations, etc). I hear the game opens up later but why do I have to wait until 40 hours in to get what I wanted at hour one?

Sorry for doing this but I gotta mention the moment in Fallout 3 when you walk out the vault. It was just...

Seriously, the people clamoring for this game were the people that would appreciate and understand the Japan History Game or the Hostess Clubs. Sega released this game in the same month as FFXIII and GOW3. They basically sent it to die anyway. Now on top of that they're going to cut scenes and quests? Really really weird.

they take one article or comment by a PS3 fanboy and use it to justify their own fanboyism. If you devote the majority of your energy in arguing with fanboys guess what you start to sound like? A fanboy. Jack Tretton does an interview and he praises the competition. Aaron Greenberg does an interview and he sounds like any one of these fanboys on N4G.

Hey Aaron, you're an exec for a pretty powerful company. Your job is to sell that machine. How many potential customers do you thi...

and, I gotta be honest, I'm just not that into it. I checked out new spaces but I still find myself getting incredibly bored after five minutes. Maybe if I could watch/play video content or music in my apt, or maybe if I could access gaming events in a Home like virtual environment, or have a dev Q&A in home, etc I'd go in more often. Oh yeah, waiting in line for a game or bowling lane is crazy.

and reaffirm how uninterested I am in these sorts of uber casual games. Guess I'm old school, but I still would rather game using a traditional controller rather than some motion controller.

because I don't know if that's the reason the game turned out how it did. In fact I doubt it is.
