I thought their 8.5 was low for KZ2 at the time but after owning the game this long I could see how some wouldn't be as taken with it as I was.
9.5 for Heavy Rain is an amazing score. I already knew I was getting the game day one. Now I might try to find a place selling the game early so I can play it over Spring Break.
especially for a game most said wasn't necessary. I thought the critics would give the game must lower scores than this. Kudos to 2K. I'm actually planning on picking it up now.
Like is this exclusive or multiplatform, whether Rockstar North is working on it, is it GTA in LA?
Amazing how so many are basically saying Sony should've given us a PS2.5 and basically progress in tech in small incrimental steps.
Sorry man but I don't see why 10 years isn't plausible or a wise move. Look at how good the games look in what...year four of the life of the PS3. I know graphics aren't everything but it's usually the first indication that it's time for a new console. The way Sony keeps raising the bar I really think the ten year plan is possible.
And...
especially with SEVR supposedly being the main problem. Can you explain this? Like does this Army just have stronger or better weapons or is it just a matter of all the really good players being members of this army?
If it's the latter then I gotta wonder how all these guys agreed on joining that Army and no other.
Dialouge that makes sense written by native English speakers? Sign me up. Playing a story as I want to play it instead of how a set character plays it was just great. And despite all the crazy bugs of Fallout 3 it's still one of my fav games this, or maybe any generation.
Name says it all. Don't need ambiguous names that only the hardcore will understand.
that it would've been easy to just release another PS2. A PS2.5 if you will. But Sony didn't do that. They released a machine that was forward thinking and as future proof as possible. And what does that get you? A $h!t load of criticism at jump but an ever growing number of happy customers. I'm not privy to the spreadsheets and the balance sheets. I don't know how profitable or unprofitable their games division is. But I do know that this decision will pay dividends in the end for both Sony ...
That's what a 10 year lifecycle is all about.
Guys, I'd seriously leave Bungie alone. The guy is doing this whole double speak thing AND somehow manages to be first on almost every PS3 related story. Heck, almost every PS3 or 360 related story. I don't think the usual trolls or fanboy labels are appropriate here. He's more than that. If you ever see someone in the electronics aisle stabbing PS3 boxes with a butcher knife while wearing a Master Chief costume and crying......well d...
Great review.
but the simple message of the ads are the best part. So many people didn't know what the PS3 could do. Finally Sony is communicating the functionality of it's console.
Next they need to do something with Home ala the MS game room. Get some sort of partnership with Sega and maybe Nintendo, Acclaim, Konami, etc. You get the old Xmen sidescroller in Home and I will wait in line to play it. Not to mention the old Avengers game, Dragon's Lair, TMNT (which has been on Live for a while ...
"My friends list is right there." It's right there on PSN too. I don't get it. In fact, I usually just scroll down my friends to see what games they're playing before I do anything. What is he talking about? Because some avatar isn't dancing or jumping the PSN community is barren? Stop it.
I'm off to read the review. I didn't expect this high a score from any of the big three on this game.
Why? Because it effed your console in the a$$? Play games and not systems.
But I gotta think MS will continue to support the 360 unlike what they did with the Xbox. Nevertheless the recent surge in demand from the price drop and an ad campaign that actually makes sense has the PS3 really nipping on MS' heels.
And because half of you won't read the interview, just some context for his statement that 360 won't be around in ten years:
"Peter Dille: Yeah, and that's my personal opinion. I think that would be the personal opinion of most ...
No one was hyping this for more than A. We all knew the reviewers would kill this. Especially when Modern Warfare 2 is still getting much play.
It's really really different. 7.5 is a good score. Maybe the game wasn't this reviewer's cup of tea. I guarentee in the end this game has a AAA ranking on GameRankings and maybe even Metacritic.
That's higher than I expected. I thought the game would get a 4. The usual formula being new IP + PS3 exclusive = Edge blasting the game. Exception being LBP.
Worldwide it's impossible. Sorry boys but no way does Dante outsell Kratos.
What mainstream media outlet has said the consumer is dumb when a critically acclaimed game doesn't sell as well? And what constitutes "selling." Uncharted 2 is doing great numbers worldwide as are most PS2 exclusives. You can't just go by the NPD numbers. I know MS games usually do much better than PS3 games on NPD but NPD is not the whole picture. There's a whole world out there buying games.
In the end, what you or anyone else care about sales? So long as a game sel...
