let alone risk losing them in October. If it wasn't for Modern Warfare I wouldn't buy one single Activision game. Not one. Music games don't interest me and the Marvel Alliance games are a rental imo. Based on the numbers, the popularity of all those plastic guitar games are declining. And if I were to make the plunge into that genre it would be for Rockband since they don't seem hell bent on making me buy a new game every year.

after having seen that Game Trailers TV spot. I just wanted to see how much better the game looks in its final build and I was blown away. Now it's just a matter of do I get the Collector's edition or the regular edition, pocket the saved money, and maybe get DarkSiders. I'm not into Heavy Metal, that Art Book would probably get lost or destroyed, and I don't know what I'd do with a life sive pandoras box.
I'm just fine with maximizing the current consoles (360 and PS3) and delaying the launch of the next-gen of consoles. Live and PSN are still just reaching their prime and devs are just now starting to really exploit the PS3 to its full capabilities. Look at what Valve recently said.

so I waited until Thursday night last week to get my copy. Glad I went when I did because it's sold out in most stores around me. Guess people were eagerly anticpating this game even without a major marketing blitz. Love to see a company get rewarded for taking a risk.
Then again they may not matter. Look at SF4 for example. Game sold just about equal on the two consoles in the U.S. and we all know the story worldwide. With the install base for PS3 closing the gap, I can't see this happening.
Major hit for me. Just because you can finish the story in eight-ten hours doesn't mean it's any less of a game. Especially for this type of game. If you beat it you have the DLC to look forward too.

but I don't know if it was fun. I think it was just the constant tension the game gives you after a certain point. It was a thrill ride for me. Hard to find an analogy for it. I can see what the director is saying though. Guess it all comes down to how you define fun.
What isn't open for the debate is how entertaining this game is. Just found out who the killer is and I can't wait to see how it wraps up.
Ummm...no. L4D2 isn't even among the top 360 games in terms of graphics let alone PS3 and 360 games.

back in 2007 your comments really had me wondering if I made the right move. This was before the onslaught of Sony AAA exclusives and at a time when 3rd parties seemed to just give PS3 owners whatever they felt like giving.

MLB 10 is by far the best baseball sim on the market.
Playing Heavy Rain right now and I'm floored at the game's mature storyline but almost more so at the visuals. Granted in certain spots it drops down but that may be just because when the game looks great it looks really really incredible. The Madison and Scott Shelby character models are prime examples.
Really can't wait to see what's next. I'm hoping for Infamous 2 with Uncharted 2 type visuals. And I think all our minds will implode when Killzone 3 is shown.
