Personally, I love the PS3's design. The black glossy finish with the chrome trim is so nice to look at. If Sony wants to redesign the PS3 I'm sure it'll be for the better. Even if it isn't, it won't look as generic as a 360.
I've had my fill of WWII games. I'd much rather wait for COD6. It's not like I won't have shooters aplenty in the meantime. Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, etc etc. Thanks but no thanks guys.
P.S..where the heck are all the maps and different modes Infinity Ward said they had ready to drop into COD4? I've been putting up with Bog since the game dropped and it's still there. Let's get rid of that already.
there are sites where you can download HD quality episodes of some really great shows. With Home and GTA coming, there's going to be an incentive to have a lot of music on your drive. And with downloadable games becoming more of a mainstay there are many reasons to have a big drive. What I don't get is why Sony is simply re-releasing the same machine with a bigger hdd when you can upgrade your hdd yourself with practically any drive you want. what the heck is wrong with Sony. The 80gb didn't sell as well as the 40 because the price is too high. So what do they do? They release another sku with an even higher price point. I hope this isn't true. Just stick to the 40gb Sony. Let people upgrade the hdd on their own. Unless they release a version with PS2 backwards compatibility.

can't wait. Already got music on my hdd in preparation for in-game xmb in GTA. Hope R* got it right. They really changed things for this GTA. I'd hate it to be buggy. Hope they utilize the PS3's standard hdd and the storage of blu-ray. We should have an install like DMC4 in order to avoid any load times.

With 360s breaking and PS3 dropping in price by almost half (if this is true), then there's no sense to not wait. Plus these people get to enjoy MGS4, GTA 4, DMC 4, etc for a fraction of what I paid to get the system. Don't get me wrong, I know early adopters pay a premimum but c'mon. Next time around, I'll let someone else pay launch price and go through the game drought.

to spend so much on a game, to practically employ an entire town of devs to focus on it, to possibly make this a flagship title, to then turn around and rush it out before it's ready? saw it coming a mile away. GTA 4 is such a mega hit in the US and it's probably the game that will bring the PS2 owners into the next-gen. When these people walk into a retailer to get GTA IV, they're going to have to choose which console they want to play it on. Are they going to make the wise choice or just go with what's cheaper?

I wasn't planning on it. I didn't really like showtime mode and the openness (is that a word?) of it really intimadated me. IGN said you have to keep looking at the map during a race to get your bearings. The game is gorgeous though and the online stuff is really innovative. Guess Burnout is going to be added to my library. Maybe I'll sell Fight Night to put something towards it.
at least not to Bloodmask and other 360 fanboys. They refuse to believe the PS3 has any good games even now. I wonder what they'll say by years end...
PS3's resurgence is due to a combination of everything: games, exclusives, the Sony name, and....RELIABLE HARDWARE.

They just make such quality games. I'm so hyped for this game. It's right behind Metal Gear on my most anticipated for 08.
to show that it's not so far fetched to assume something weird is going on. Just take your Xbox love googles off for a second at look at this from a gamers perspective: they don't run the PS3 on optimal settings when I'm sure they have a TV to do so. Yes the feature is default to limited but should that be a strike against Sony? If you're knowledgable enough to opt for an HDtv and an HDMI cord, then surely you're going to know to turn this setting to full.
