I'm not going to get into what kind of music I'd prefer nor will will I say which I don't prefer, I just know we're all different in this area so hopefully Sony allows us to enjoy this amazing game with our preferred music playing.
I so hate that complaint. If a game does everything it does well, then what new do we need from it? And it actually does offer something new: Prestige.
Tell me a game that offered this before? The option of losing all your weapons and challange completion for a symbol by your name? And as lame as you may think that is, it really does expand the game. I've taken prestige twice already and I must say that going through and leveling up a third time is just as fun as it was the firs...
We're not talking PC games though. We're talking consoles and, more specically, 360 and PS3. If a game like Devil May Cry comes out for both and is virtually identical on both with the same amount of load times, then why does one require an install and one doesn't when they're the same version? If both versions required the install then I'd see your point but that isn't the case now is it?
Again, it's not like this is a really big deal to me because I just upped my HDD to 160 gi...
Since when is the casual market on MS' radar? 90% of 360 games are shooters.
Corporations are not required to earn/pay dividends. This is a common misconception amongst the public. Corporations have the responsibility to appreciate in value; not pay their shareholders as much as possible through dividends. In fact, a corp could use profits to invest back in the common over paying the shareholders.
That aside, I didn't read the rest of your post. You stated you were looking at MS as a company but the title is about 360 fanatics? What gives.
And I'll pay to have the Bog removed from my game. God I hate that stage. Not the layout so much as the fact that the lag on that stage is crazy.
I think the answer as to how the system "survived" is not that lengthy at all. Quite simply, MS messed up. Think about the success of the 360, the allure people have with achievements, the games that were out (Halo, Gears, etc), while PS3 was on a big game drought. MS honestly could have increased their lead over PS3 by not having the hardware problems. I'm not saying they would have wiped PS3 off the console stage, but they certainly would be doing even better than they are now. ...
If you're going to take up 8% of some peoples HDD then you ought to tell us why. Good stuff. Bubbles
and gives the dev the means to do some really cool/innovative stuff, then yeah..utilize my hdd. Now if there's no real differences or benefits in the PS3 version, I sorta feel like the dev is just taking my hdd space. Granted I have more than enough, but I want to feel like I got some sort of benefit for my 5 gigs.
just a cool city loft. Nice music playing: Talib, Common, Kanye, Little Brother, etc. Maybe a lil Maroon Five. Along with some Boondocks episodes playing on my Home screen (got seasons one and two on my hdd along with some animes). And when you're not getting lost in my place or talking to someone new, maybe we can get a game of Little Big Planet, COD4, or Metal Gear Online going.
Home is going to be a lot of fun. I don't think I'll ever turn off my PS3 once it's out.
Sony's console is by far the most sleek and impressive to look at. Sony's name is synomous with all forms of media. Why in the world aren't they utilizing this on PS3? They could have music downloads, movie downloads, tv shows (and with a standard hdd most of us have room for all this media). Forget Playtv, I want an improved PSN. I know I know...HOme. Home is cool but why wait to release all this at once. Let's get PSN to be what it could...no...should be.
Great news for Sony but will this transfer over to the PS3? I dunno. I will say this, it can't hurt. And when that person who STILL hasn't "jumped in" or played "B3yond" walks into a store to buy their console, the fact that the most advanced form of movies is playable on their PS3, online is free, and the bigs are out (or close to being out), I think PS3 is the clear choice.
The AAA hyped games are coming. They're being hyped so highly because they're expected to be great. Sony could have released their major in-house games early whether they were ready or not, but they're not doing that. They're going to let these games get the amount of time they deserve. MGS4 is coming in the next few months and GTA is right around the corner. That'll keep you busy until Gran Turismo, Resistance 2,Little Big Planet, Home, etc later this year. Relax. Good times ahead for Sony a...
but Sniper accuracy AND Host left game problems being resolved are even better. Sometimes in a game I'll let off multiple shots that don't seem to connect due to an invisible wall. Just wish Infinity Ward would release those new stages and modes they bragged about having when the game was in development.
I could really use this. When me and my friends are trying to get a party together, it takes a good while because while one of us is waiting for the others to finish their games, that person will usually get a quick game going and then the others are waiting for him and so on and so on. If we could send in-game messages like "game almost done. be like five minutes before I'm finished" that'd be great. Still need to be able to add friends in-game.
this is before the AAA hyped games are out. Just wait until MGS 4, GT5, LBP, Killzone are on the shelves. Sony probably won't sell Wii like numbers anytime soon, but 360 will lose it's spot at #2.
How did MS fall so far so fast? I bought an Xbox last time around and, truth be told, played it more than my PS2. How the heck did they F it up so bad? And to be so cold to the consumers is crazy. Easy fix for this guy, send him a new console and credit him for every dime he spent on Xbox live.
If Insomniac wants to get paid, they should sell this engine like Epic sells Unreal. When I see what they're doing with PS3 I just can't put up with nonsense from other devs. Step your game up or, if Insomniac allows it, buy the engine.
What's scary is that they said the jump with their next slew of games will be just as big as the jump from Resistance 1 to Resistance 2. Scary.
I'm not checking out any more of the teasers because they either give away things I'd like to find out in the game or they just...well tease. I'm hyped enough for the game. I don't need to be anymore hyped. Day one purchase for me.
but I was going to get it anyway.
