you'd have to be crazy to deny that PSN was no where near Live when PSN launched. Still, I could pop in a game and play online with friends w/o paying anything.
Now, it's light years ahead of where it was at launch and it's only growing and I still have not paid anything.
Not a bad trade off to me. I think all Sony owners appreciate having the extra 60 bucks every year.

insofar as the way in which he's telling us that it's something we're doing that's causing gamers and the media to not like the game. Remember the devs for Lair tried to say something to the effect of you're controlling a dragon and that's why it doesn't respond right away.
And gamers have been judging things like this since the dawn of gaming. Some people don't like Halo. Some hate Final Fantasy. And a lot of people have already written off Home without ever having tried it. ...

Look, Denis, I'm sure you gave a lot of time and energy to Too Human. I'm sure it's your "baby." And I'm also sure you love the game. But stop telling others that something is wrong with them if they don't. Stop with the forum posts because it comes off as desperation.

Wii music, Wii travel (probably), Wii speak, Wii who knows. Nintendo is rolling in the money. They've been making a profit on every unit sold since day one! They could do whatever they want and Wii will sell big time.
It sucks to pay to play games online at all. Qore is optional. And it's not like it's...say...60 bucks a year or something along those lines. For a paltry 2.99 you can get the episode and the beta. If the beta sold for 2.99 in the stores you wouldn't complain. I tell ya, Sony gave us PSN for free and no one seems to appreciate it.

I just know that I read something in gamesradar to the effect of "dental plan dodging zombies" and "they're extra scary because they're African" that didn't come off too good.

what did you expect from Nintendo? Didn't they show you who their target market is by now? It's not the crowd that was disappointed with their press conference; it's the crowd that wants Wii music. The crowd that wants Wii fit.
You guys bought the Wii expecting the next Nintendo 64 (great console btw) and it's not anywhere near that. It's a console for the casual primarily with a very limited catalog of games for the hardcore.
Time to make an investment in a PS3 or 3...
the first was a bug ridden fest on PS3, but this time the original team is doing the PS3 version and the game just looks intense. Plus I hear the shoot outs in this game are crazy.
Lots of games coming out this holiday season. It's a good time to be a gamer.

hopefully the PS3 has more in the way of RPGs by then. Surprising move on EA's part considering the growing install base of PS3. I'll remain skeptical until I get something a bit more official.
there was an event ( I wanna say E3) where Nintendo had Gamecubes running Wii games. Gamecubes! C'mon! That's just friggin crazy to me.
They just outsold their direct competitor by a huge margin last month. The Wii is a novelty and I mean that because people are buying it and nothing else for it. They just want Wii sports. PS3 is picking up. Last year MS was ahead by what, 10 million units? Now it's only 5. Next year it could be dead even.
And don't forget that PS3 is the MOST expensive option. Does BMW sell as many cars as Ford? No. But that doesn't mean the BMW isn't a quality car (far from it).

Like I said, the extra 60 bucks in my pocket is much appreciated and the drop off between Live and PSN isn't like the drop off between Live and the Wii's online service.
