Factual, I doubt you've ever worked with the engine or any other engine for that matter, because if you did you would most assuredly see its merits.
Natural Selection anyone? Another PC title (mod even) that is yet to be redone in its glorious entirety. Of course NS2 is in the works, but by the same team.
Normally I agree with the notion that most games for the wii would better on 360/ps3, but Mario Galaxy is a game that actually benefits from the Wiimote. One of the few, but leave it to Nintendo to actually make good products. A new zelda game, yes Id like to see that on a more powerful machine.
Most of those games aren't what one would consider "hardcore". Don't get me wrong, I played (and really liked) all of them but Monster Hunter.
Also, Mad Worlds sales were not that high and it was a shame. I think if it would have appeared on 360/PS3 it would have seen better numbers.

What a lot of people fail to consider is that temperature variations happen naturally. Maybe you don't think that "man made" global warming is real, but are you really prepared to say that it's entirely impossible for another Ica Age to hit when theres evidence of their periodic appearance throughout history.

Additionally, if you've worked with it and other comparable environments you would know theres a reason tons of people are using it. Some of the best games this generation run on it because its extremely versatile and comes with an amazing set of tools. Im not saying it doesn't have its faults, but ...
Not to mention, if we're going off ease of acquisition then it seems like the release of the UDK would be a bigger cause for concern. But then again, if we're making the claim that high quality tools/engine being made more widely available to developers is a bad thing, then we might as well boycott indie devs.
Hmmm, because it's a game, not a piece of literature. From what I've seen it looks like a ton of fun, and luckily for us as gamers, thats what counts.
Yeah, I actually went back and played more gears 2 after the newest patch. Im glad they reworked the shotguns hit pattern (the old one was pretty silly). Social matches are a big improvement and that makes me hopefully they'll also be in the third.
I think the thing that still bugs me is the reduced speed of the game, I can't say that Im right since I know there are people that prefer the pace of gears 2 over the first, but I prefer the hectic nature of gears 1 comba...

Yup... and that is why I still play the first Gears. I can barely look forward to Gears 3 because the multi will likely be more of the same.
I think that goes hand in hand with whether or not people have empathy. Some people do, others, not so much. It turns out from an article I just read (can't find the link atm) that gamers as a whole have very little empathy compared to other groups.
This would explain the high yield fanboyism that the games industry sees.

I agree chris. I think theres this weird need for gamers to act like they would drop everything to have sex. Likely as a result of the stereotypes that surround gamers (not very good with the ladies etc.) Call me old fashioned but I don't need to be having sex 24-7.

Also, I hope Gears 3 fixes all the crap with gears 2 and gives me a reason to stop playing Gears 1.
