I can afford it. I bought an original 60 GB PS3. It's just that I realize MS has fallen back to talking about the future because they can't sell me on the now.
I like Titanfall, but I seriously doubt that. MS has a long way to go to overtake Sony's momentum. Titanfall is only about 18,000 pre-orders ahead of Infamous. I don't think that would be considered a game changer even if all else were equal—which it's not.
P.S. I think Titanfall being online only and available on the 360 will hurt it as a system seller. Less hardcore gamers will be turned off by the idea of having to play with others online and won't see muc...
Or maybe people still believe that VG Chartz is prone to under reporting Sony sales figures.
@Axios2
You do realize that you just nullified your previous argument? What happened to it being about the number of territories you sell in?
@Axios2
Arrogance can make you look foolish. You laugh at people disagreeing with facts? What facts? For the sake of conversation let's say that we both have 1,000 cookies to sell. I sell 1,000 cookies in 100 classrooms, but on average I can only sell 10 cookies per classroom. You sell 1,000 cookies by concentrating your sells on 50 classrooms for an average allotment of 20 cookies per classroom.
Now, because I have sold in more classrooms than you does ...
You agree even though Axios, whether intentionally or unintentionally, swung the numbers? The number of launch countries does not matter. That just means Sony spread their stock wider whereas MS concentrated theirs in a few territories. It's my belief that the reason Xbox scaled back their launch countries was to remain competitive in certain regions, primarily NA. Can you imagine what the NA numbers would look like if MS had shipped less units there in the interest of shipping to more co...
The Netflix model would be smarter PR wise. Paying to access games you already own is a much harder sell than paying to access a library of games, some of which you may already own.
If you look at the chart without combining cross platform sales for multiplats, KZ is actually the highest next gen game, period.
Edit: Correction, FIFA 14 beats it, but it is, surprisingly, doing better than the multiplat FPS.
And the numbers show that more people think the PS4 is better, so why he thinks his one opinion overrides that is beyond me, unless it is just to troll for hits.
"The Xbox One is the better system currently… why is it losing?"
Because it's not.
PS4 is leading in the US and UK, two of MS's biggest territories last gen. Numbers don't lie. You need to back up your argument with something more than the "Sony fanboyz have taken overs the internetz" conspiracies.
Because they're competing products which launched at essentially the same time? You can't ignore the pink elephant in the room. At the end of the day a performance boost is nice, but there's still this other system that outperforms it for $100 less.
That's a straw man argument you introduced colonel. No one said those things aren't important. In fact, the crowd your comments are aimed at have frequently called out Drive Club for sacrificing important graphical features to get the game to run at 1080p. The point is, you can take a game with the same polygon count, textures, etc., or more and probably run it at a higher resolution on the PS4.
"Funny seeing how most of the comments here are from Sony fans."
That's irrelevant to the point that was made. Most of the Sony comments on here aren't outright dismissing the rumor as bull, or raging about the lack of credibility of the source. Neither are most of the Xbox fans, which goes back to the point about the apologists now believing Gaf insiders. Time and time again we saw hordes of Xbox fans attacking Gaf insiders, and outright dismissing the rumo...
There are quite a few people that hold that delusion. Deep down, they know they're just conning themselves so that they feel better.
Since you brought it up, let's talk about intelligence. I got my PS4 at launch. Guess what—it comes with this thing called a "warranty." Guess what else—electronics failures aren't isolated to only the launch units. RROD and YLOD issues were still present in consoles that had been purchased a few months after launch. Do you really think they're going to do some redesign for the console you plan on getting in March? Please. At this point their top priority is producing co...
You don't love chaos. You just think you do.
My bad. Gave you a down vote when I was trying to give you an up vote.
A lot of people are just taking the hackers at their word on this. I logged in with no problem after reading this story. I know I'm one case, but others have posted the same. They may just be trying to take advantage of the already existent holiday network issues to gain credit.
I enjoy my Wii U, but that's like saying, "If you want an aircraft that doesn't burn up upon reentry get a 747," in a conversation about space shuttles. I would love to be able to play New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Mario 3D World online with other people.
