It is. The simple reality is, the discounts alone have saved me more than the price of a full priced year subscription. The free games alone, which saved me from buying them, saved me more than the price of a full priced year subscription.
It's funny how these comparisons were all the rage last gen, but now we're told they're petty.
That's why it's only your opinion. Those are subjective, and others have had contrasting opinions. We are talking about something that is not subjective.
Now you bring up differences in Dead Rising. I could also mention GTA IV. What you didn't get last gen, when the tables were turned, was this movement to keep the differences under wraps.
You can't reasonably say these things mean nothing when MS is set to free 8% of 10% of the GPU reserved for Kinect just to somewhat close the gap.
Can we do away with a few (deliberate?) misconceptions?
1) Aside from the odd hyperbolic statement from a minority of people, we're not arguing that 30 fps is unplayable. We're saying, all else being equal (as is the case when talking about the exact same game), 60 fps is better. The truth about which is better deserves to be put out there, and a gag order shouldn't be placed on the truth to spare feelings.
2) We're not saying that gameplay d...
The plane is a great example, but also look at what appears to be a toppled over statue in the lower left hand portion of the screen ahead of Lara, and the small waterfall on the right side of the screen.
There are always a few individuals who pop up in Plus articles to nitpick about Plus Games not being "free" (as if we don't know how Plus works), but those same people have no problem being disingenuous by referring to it as a rental service. How many rental services are going, "Here. Not only can you have the game (or movie, or whatever) that we already loaned you, but here's some more for you, and more will be coming after that, and more after that. As long as you'...
It's not "done," because that's not all that factors into people's decision to buy a console. Maybe that's all that factors into YOUR decision, but there are many people who look at the things you said PLUS things like price and multiplat performance. What needs to be "done" with are overly sensitive people trying to put a gag order on the internet because certain truths don't favor their preferred console.
"Why The Console Wars & 60FPS Tomb Raider Arguments Are Ridiculous"
Because #XB1M13?
I think it's one of those problems where you either have it or you don't.
It's not like we needed Thuway to tell us this.
What you fail to acknowledge is that MS officials like Greenberg are leading the denials of many of your fellow Xbox gamers who keep insisting that the differences either don't exist or aren't meaningful. You talk as if the football is being spiked after scoring the touchdown, but the problem is that MS and its loyalists keep challenging the play, refusing to acknowledge that the touchdown happened in the first place.
Buddy, your system has had to do 180 after 180 and is moving toward doing away with the one feature that makes it anything other than a slightly improved 360, so I would watch it with the 3.5 talk.
They don't want to talk about specs, because you can't debate, or spin your way around, specs. They want to talk about game line ups, and best looking game (Greenberg), because that's always going to be subjective.
Hey guys. This game that was supposed to come out months ago, but still isn't out after getting delayed, would have been a disaster if it had been released months ago. Pay me.
That's the funny thing. We don't care either.
It was Zelda for me. I would have bought one sooner if it weren't region locked.
Not that I disagree with you (I own both handhelds. What do I care?), but Capcom did start going downhill the generation they put more distance between themselves and Sony.
The difference between 720p and 1080p is that 1080p has 2.25x the pixels of 720p.
The immediate problem with his comment is that he tried to counter objective differences between multiplats with an emphatically stated subjective opinion about an exclusive, and, though tempting, the natural inclination to respond with "Killzone" only plays into his game of side tracking the issue by engaging in a prolonged subjective argument which cannot be objectively settled.
