I think they will. PS4 has the larger install base. Plus, it's easier to develop for than the PS3. On the PS3, if a multiplat developer didn't take advantage of the system specs their games weren't really going to get shown up by anything but 1st party studios who put in the time learning to develop for the Cell. The PS4 is so much easier to develop for that developers gimping a game run the risk of being shown up by just about any developer with a competing product. Can you imagi...

You do realize that all you are doing is looking at a select block of time to suit your argument? Xbox isn't even ahead in the U.S.. Is it really that bad that you have to turn to a specific block of time when the PS4 isn't available in the U.S. to try to make a point? Is that supposed to somehow dampen the news of the widening gap between the two? Both consoles launched at practically the same time. Comparing sales from a specific block of time is meaningless compared to total sales....

1) That $600 PS3 also had powerful hardware that could provide better games when developers learned to use the Cell, true backwards compatibility, and the cheapest blu ray player on the market.

2) That $600 PS3 launched before this little thing known as the global financial crisis.

Which console is sold more total? Which console sold more in the U.S.?

How does a comment like that stay up for 3 hours when the slightest anti-MS comment gets the mods on you and down bubbled in a matter of minutes?

Wow. You tried to stealth that backhanded compliment/Xbox—is—doing—bette r—argument in there.

Numbers are numbers. Countries are just fictional concepts. If Alaska broke off from the United States and divided itself into thirty autonomous nations, would that mean diddly squat in terms of sales to that territory that used to be Alaska? No. You would have the same sales from those 30 new nations as you would had they stayed the state of Alaska. It's about markets, demand, a...

@HomerJDog

Link me to an N4G article in which at least 20% of the comments from Sony fans are claiming the numbers are false, or are you just trolling?

Listen. It's really simple. It has nothing to do with GWG just starting. Live Gold has been around longer than PS+. The monetary infrastructure is already there for Gold. The free games you got with PS+ in the beginning are lacking compared to what you get with the IGC now, not because they were just starting up (though at least in their case they didn't already have a pool of money from previous years' subs), but because Sony didn't really dive head first onto this IGC thing ...

Console wars aren't BS marketing. This, too, is part of the console war. Console wars are what people make of them. They can raise the standard. They can lower the standard. Consumers make a console war productive to the consumer when they don't just effectively become unpaid mouthpieces for a gaming company who will agree with that company no matter what. If something on the competing product makes me jealous, I'm going to say, "Bring that over here." If enough things o...

Yes you are. I'm going to try to put this in a way that isn't insulting. You need to start putting your interests as a consumer above some perception you have of a company's interests. That shouldn't even concern you, but either way you can chillax. I can assure you that they have it covered. Companies are being compensated, both monetarily and in publicity. Do you think it's a coincidence a game like BF3 drops on PS+ right before the fourth game, which EA is hoping will d...

Yeah. That is why GWG isn't as good. If you think that's somehow an advantage for MS you are mistaken. For one, Plus is a very enticing service to keep. When I re-up my Plus subscription, the thought doesn't even cross my mind that I need to do it to be able to play the games I got from the IGC. When I re-up that sub, I'm thinking about the future IGC games I'm going to get, the discounts I'm going to get, and other services. Keeping my games doesn't even enter the...

I can get excited for season pass if done right. When a game like Borderlands comes out with a season pass, I'm on that. I have no problem putting a little up front money in a publisher's hands if it saves me down the line. Borderlands 2 season pass delivered a lot of bang for the buck. Microtransactions? I just can't get excited when they're introduced in a full priced game. The best I can hope for is that they won't cheapen my experience. They definitely don't add to...

Really? So if someone that owned an Xbox One posted a video talking about its shortcomings, would this deal allow for that?

Pay no attention to the subject of the article: MS paying corrupt media to stealth advertise the Xbox. It's the REST of the media that's corrupt, according to christocolus.

Hey, Hicken. ThePope wants you to know all companies do this type of stuff, but only MS keeps getting nailed doing it.

Wow. MariaHelFutura sure has come up in the world, considering that this is an article from The Guardian article. Has she taken over The Guardian, now? Does that mean she's, like, on Edward Snowden's level?

@georgeenoob

You know what, bro? I think you're dead wrong on almost everything you said, but I'm willing to accept that a lot of that is based on opinion.

Titanfall? It's a new IP that's not even out yet. You think it will be great (I think it will at least be pretty good). That's opinion. Killzone? That's opinion. Ryse being the "best looking next-gen title"? Opinion.

NPD? No, that's not opinion. That&#...

You can go "you fanboys" all you want, but no one was basing the merit of their argument on review scores until someone decided to mention Knack's metacritic score.

As a Wii U owner I guess any good news is welcome, but I just can't get down with the fitness games. I'd rather hit the gym.

@Axios2

That's really not helping your argument. You compared the sales from two games to the sales from three. What it be wrong to say let's divide the total sales by number of games and compare? As far as those other games you didn't include, you were smart not to, because then we would have to bring in free PS4 games like Resogun and Don't Starve.

Edit: It's also probably not good for your argument to point out that an FPS that went up...

@Axios

That wasn't the question I asked. I asked how profitable it has been to MS, not what years it has been operating at a profit. Overall, how profitable—give me a number—has the Xbox division been to MS?
