Actually, you are premature in your celebration. I've read from other sources that they both sold OVER 1,000/minute respectively, which makes more sense than believing that they both sold exactly 1,000 units/minute at their peaks.

Now say PS4 sold 4,000/minute at peak and Xbox sold 1,500...

You sound like you had your feelings hurt, but what you failed to do was tell me how much I'm paying for those games, like I asked before. If you are sensitive to being "pestered" (I guess that's what you immaturely call it when someone presents a counterargument to your own), then maybe you shouldn't be that guy or gal that hops into a comment section to let everyone know what they already knew—you need a subscription to receive the compl...

Haven't you caught the pattern by now? MS fans will cling to any perceived advantage and hype it beyond belief. Take having the better looking multiplats for example. Hyped to death by MS fans last gen. This gen, with PS4 multiplats holding an advantage over their counterparts on the One unlike any differences seen between the PS3 and 360, all of a sudden we're told by MS fans that resolution and frame rate don't really matter.

@TwistingWords

So why don't you crunch the numbers and tell me how much I'm paying for those games? Be sure to subtract the $50 all of the other Plus services already cost before the introduction of this complimentary program.

You are really trying hard to be that guy that attends a pro wrestling event and screams out, "fake!" From your initial comment you feel the need to point out that you have to have a subscription with Plus or Gold to ...

@TwistingWords

The words you were looking for were, "added value to the service at no additional cost."

"So tell me, did you think they thought of the idea overnight and just out of the blue decided to add it?"

Irrelevant. They already sold me on what was available for the same price they are charging now that they have the Plus games program.

"But what happens once you stop paying?"
...

Neither service is free. I agree. The difference is, on Xbox you're paying to get a handful of games you either already own or have no real interest in playing, considering they've been out long enough to be heavily discounted.

Actually, as someone that has had Plus since its inception, the service I was paying for did not include games. It included discounts, which even then paid for the price of Plus, but not games. Games came later at no additional cost to me. So what do you call that?

@OverPaperrSkies

That's not damage control. Disagreeing with an opinion is not damage control. Passionately disagreeing with an opinion is not damage control. You shouldn't liberally use terms that you don't comprehend. It's one thing to have an opinion. It's another thing to offer an extreme opinion on the internet for others to react to. People are reacting, as intended. What are you complaining for?

Do you even know what damage control is? When the general consensus is that what is being said is ridiculous, there is no damage to control.

People say MS isn't gaming focused because at least three of the launch exclusives that you mentioned (Ryse, Forza, DR3) have been hampered by the Xbox's limitations.

@Bigpappy

If you think saying, "Weird. Because usually the one that is sold out sells less than the one that's always stocked," is logical then you should be glad there isn't a down bubble option for being ridiculous.

You should proofread your comment.

You won't lose the warranty. The system is still under warranty. I find it hard to believe you couldn't get at least $500 on a PS4 that has been used for less than a week. I mean, we have people buying photos of consoles off of ebay for that price.

@Underworld and @Kryptix

Last bubble so I'll reply to you both and end it here.

Here is why the original quote incorrectly conflates the issues. Gun control advocates are not saying that guns make people act violently. Critics of video games ARE saying that video games cause people to act violently. Gun control advocates are not denying whatever conditions would motivate a person to commit violence. Video game critics are saying that the video game motiv...

The Cloud is not like the Cell. It's going to take more than just having a Naughty Dog-esque developer spend some time with the cloud to realize its potential. Apples and oranges. Smoke and mirrors.

It's not troll bait. It's just not very well thought out and face palm worthy.

I hope you can say it better than that, because his argument in a nutshell is, "Sony did a great job realizing the potential of their last console, so I'm going to trade in their new console and get an Xbox."

4545d ago 6 agree4 disagreeView comment

Just goes to show what poor judgment he has—and that's not even talking console preference. Why would you return a PS4 when you can resell it for more and use the profits to buy extra stuff for your new system? It doesn't make much sense, much like the logical leaps he takes in the article.

@Kryptix

Nice straw man argument—not that you even know what a straw man argument is.

Your little diatribe is rendered meaningless the second I ask you "Why were guns invented in the first place then?" See, regardless of your sophomoric reply, no one ever said killings never happened before the invention of the gun. What I said is that the gun is an efficient killing machine. A video game is not. Therefore, you cannot use the same premise to dismis...

@Kryptix

And here you are still not understanding that it's an apples and oranges comparison. LOL. It may be up to the person to kill, but a gun makes it a lot easier to do so. It is an instrument of killing, unlike a game. The person also need not have intent to harm anyone, as accidental shootings often happen. The point that you seem to be missing is that there is a valid argument to be had about guns in connection to violence that cannot be poo-pooed away by regurgita...
