Doesnt sound at all favorable to me. And whats with this 10 stuff? Some sites gave Halo a 10 or perfect score, and plenty didnt. And if youre going to ask me (look at the avatar) what I think about Halo...u should already know that answer.

to even be competing with the PS3 in Japan. Regardless of a price cut or whatever game release, Japanese gamers have been taking a better liking to the 360 this year, which is doing much better than the Xbox did at this point in its lifetime.

Im gonna pay $20 for a new episode of R* goodness. I guess I wasnt at the same party, but GTA 4 was tha shiznit. Sure it had its faults, but even the best games arent absolutely perfect.
That being said, I could care less about how or why more GTA goodness will be available on LIVE, because I will buy and enjoy it. Especially for $20. Im sure Im not the only one...
This whole thing is trash. If all you wanna do is play games and even download plenty of DLC 20GB is fine. You want more, then you buy more. If you feel the price is too high for 120GB, and your a tad technically inclined, you can replace the HDD yourself with a few simple hacks.
Upgrading the PS3 HDD is not exactly as easy an affair as they make it seem. Sure, physically replacing the drive is simple, but you still have to hook the HDD up to a SATA controller (back and forth...
Why are people so bothered by this? Thats what reviews are for. I played thru the first few levels of RFOM and found it to be mediocre at best. But some people loved it, so who cares?

Someone also mentioned that Speed Racer is a better 'showcase' film, and to that I agree. Being that Batman is a pretty dark affair, there isnt a whole lot that shouted out "wait for HD!" to me. Transformers still holds the HD crown IMO.

360 and PS3 dont utilize the same compression techniques...good example is the size of a mandatory install can be 5GB (such as Bishock), but still have to run primarily from the disk, while the entire game is probably around 5GB on 360, and is identical, if not better in terms of graphics.
Because of the allocated memory (256MB + 256MB) architecture of the PS3, coupled with BR speeds (2× at 72 Mbit/s) which are slower than DVD, the PS3 is forced to use less uncompressed data...
The PS3 controller is weak sauce. The D-Pad is good I suppose, buy how often do I use that? And even when I do its just to switch a weapon or something. In fact, the only game I have any trouble with on the d-pad is Street Fighter two...but I can still whoop ass. Any gamepad sucks for SF anyhow...need a nice arcade control for that puppy.
For me personally the PS3 control is a bit small, not a fan of the triggers, def not a fan of the sticks. Asymmetrical layout anyone? But...
720p is as far I can go for now, so its in my sweet spot. but regardless the difference from 720 to 1080 for vid sources is negligible at best, especially since the set will upconvert to 1080p anyhow. Definitely not garbage as u would put it. I love HD for the great picture and sound, but Im not an obsessed pixel counter.

but I dont agree with u that what we are already doing will push for greener alternatives. The opposite...the NEED for green alternatives is what will drive business. If we invest in more green tech, that means more jobs, and more jobs that cant be sent overseas. With society now much more conscious about the real effects of pollution and energy consumption, it forces business to rethink what they are doing, and creates new avenues of opportunity.
But we may have to stop here....
But as some have already said, Sony probably wont go for it due to licensing issues. But who knows, only time will tell
