Yes, Ripten for some inexplicable reason used faulty data when they could have easily used good data. Somehow I trust their numbers (even if they are a bit PS3 biased...the website, not the numbers, lol).

Wow...Assassin's Creed was a real beast on PS3...only 1 million copies shy of the 360 version. Halo 3 is at 8.4 million...not sure about GT5 eclipsing that, especially since Halo 3 will get over 10 million in its lifetime with either price reductions, bundles, or downloads (maybe coming with NXE?)....remember its only been a little over a year that Halo 3 has even been out. But GT5 is a beast as well, so we shall see.

Looks like each system should reach some milestones...PS3 wi...

Im not sure if this is an attempt at sarcasm, but the post wasnt meant to be taken seriously. And for the record, dont say things like there's a lot of black or white or green people on LIVE or PSN...that just sounds ignorant. No offense intended ;)

@ Mint Royale

Am I overestimating the 360 vs the Wii? Considering what a high install base the Wii has, it still gets outsold by the 360 in SW on a regular basis. Especially when u consider the Wii SW numbers ALWAYS includes Wii Sports and Wii Play, which are both bundled, and is no number to scoff at when considering how many Wii's are sold every month.

The Wii is a beast...in HW and limited SW sales, and all of their biggest releases are Nintendo releases, so its...

I mean really...this is a sad sad article. I have personally seen a few Best Buy workers recommend the PS3...as a Blu-Ray player. Whose fault is that? The fact is the 360 is a SW beast. A beast. Even the Wii cant touch it. And store owners/workers know that fact better than any numbers will tell you.

If someone says, "I need a system...PS3 or 360?", the worker will probably say, "well, the 360 is cheaper, has more games, has a big community in LIVE, which y...

BR's biggest hurdle is HDTV adoption...only 34% of US households have HDTV's. Therefore the potential market is that much smaller. Another issue is content...while blockbuster films (like Iron Man, Batman, Transformers, etc.) are great audiovisual treats, many older/smaller films and TV series are just fine on DVD (and still not available on BR in many cases), especially when price is factored in.

Besides HD quality and some rarely used extra features, the actual form factor ...

I doubt I will ever use the site, but its about time MS. This bodes well especially for business/productivity users with downloadable SW. I would also expect to see some exclusive 360 deals on there; perhaps getting free points or LIVE with system purchases or pre-orders.

But seriously, all crap aside, I hope Sony will push an even cheaper PS2 console to more developing countries. These people deserve to play games too, albeit older ones. Sony can tap into its HUGE library and sell gaes super cheap and still make some dough. If Sony pushes more into that (they already do tho), Im all for it. With the 3-6-Oh now lowering in price as well, perhaps some of those countries can jump on the next-gen soon as well.

And not that Brazil is exactly one ...

That cant be...just look at this quality article from the goozexreport.blogspot.com. This is almost pathetic...the title SHOULD read "Unknown website underwhelmed by L4D".

We all know that a certain group of gamers (that will remain nameless...) dont like Gabe and the folks at Valve, and will trash whatever they come out with. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.

But some people on here trashing Half-Life? The Orange Box? You call yourself a game...

The problem for Sony is the BR player...because of that sucker they CANT lower prices (remember, even at $500-$600 PS3 was selling at a loss) and it continues to sell at a loss. The whole point was to move the BR format forward with the PS3...not so good of a choice. BR sales havent been outright terrible, but they still arent even putting a dent on DVD sales, with forecasts for this year already being slashed (just type Blu-Ray into google news).

Think about this....a system t...

Wow...some people just cant give the 'box its due. Its already going to overtake the original 'box, and it increased its sales 500% in Japan. 500%...thats a lotta percents!

The biggest story about the 360 is the tie ratio...nearly 10. 10! Thats insane. Not to mention all of the LIVE revenue as well. This is with the system being over $300 for most of its lifetime. Now that its at the magic $200, sales may exceed even MS forecast. Nearly 350k (US) sold after the price cut B...

so maybe some of u need a suppository? I keed, I keed. But lets just stop the bull now...

1) 360 is the WW champ (besides Wii), but more importantly the US champ...the biggest market for vid games. Slice it, dice it, spin it all u want, but youre just in denial if u argue otherwise.

2) If u can say its because of the price cut, then it could also be said that sales slowed down b4 that in anticipation of a price cut.

3) Even when the PS3 outsold the 36...

The animations and the close-up of the gun reloading look pretty damn good. The rest Im not sure on yet, but we'll see. Yes, Gears 2 is currently champ, but if they can make the rest of the game look as good as the best parts, we may have a weiner here. As long as these guys have taken, it better be good. But I for one withhold true judgement until the game is out, ad it can be looked at as a whole.

But so far, damn good Guerilla. But calm down on the 360 cant do that and vi...

I personally dont care for Home, but the expectation factor will probably exceed the product for the simple fact that they have teased it for so long. If it was talked about 3-6 months before coming out, then no BFD. But what is essentially a new way to do things that you can already do (except bowling and other new features), will end up underwhelming many by the time it drops.

But this is all conjecture..who knows? Maybe it will be something cool, though I doubt it. The bal...

So NYC has a similar push to LA in terms of R2, thats interesting to know.

But you are dead wrong about Sony and MS as far as their profit margins go. MS makes the lionshare of their profits (which are huge), from software. You know, the stuff your computer OS most likely using right now (unless youre on a mac like me). MS has a redonkulous amount of cash in the bank (remember, Sony is actually a PARTNER of MS when it comes to phones and computers). Sony on the other hand was...
