Very interesting about the way the AI is programmed and what that could mean for future titles. The concept of a truly dynamic game is one that I have always hoped they could do, and love games that have pushed that envelope (Halo, Half-Life) vs games with low-intelligence AI and weakly scripted gameplay (COD 4), and now L4D is the strongest example yet. Very smart dude.
Also, gotta love the immediate attack from the usual assortment of idiots.
and NXE sucks too. Being able to watch 30 Rock and The Office and in HD for free (well, part of Netflix sub) at will sucks too. Stupid Xbox and their stupid content. Lame!
You hear that 360 gamers? Arent you MAD at MS!!! GRRRR! Those bastards! They went ahead and made a great system , admittedly with an unusually high number of failures...and they gave us a warranty! Those dirty SOB's...I hear they even refunded your money if you paid to get it fixed.
What kinda crap is that? Three years with an extension on a repaired console...what kinda security will that provide me?! You know they LIKE to screw their customers, because MS doesnt do busine...
14 million is pretty insane. Remember, not everyone has their 360 connected to the net, and not everyone plays that often.
Doesnt help N4G's rep for being biased at all. They seemed to be better, but with a bunch of recent BS posts about RROD and blogs like this crap, its hard to see it any other way.
They even posted an old article about PS3 vs 360 (not completely negative, but def not favorable) that forced the author to come out and state it was an old article that he had no idea got submitted:

Yes I am Brett Nesbitt, yes that is my article...

I dont think the Batman movie will be a 'system seller', definitely not in the vein of DVD and Matrix. Why not? HDTV still isnt even at 50% saturation yet...not even 40%. That barrier, along with DVD's being cheaper, is a problem. With VHS and DVD, you knew that DVD was going to succeed VHS, it was obvious just looking at the two technologies. Price was the main barrier at that point.
But in this case people are being asked to pay more for what is essentially an improved ver...
Loads better than the baby/eggs/tentacle commercials. Finally a PS3 ad that feels fun. Gears 2 and GTA 4 definitely have the best commercials this year, but those were good, and different than those ads since they were game-spcecific. but here Sony is trying to paint broader pictures of what the overall PS3 experience is. It may be a little too much on the vague side, which I noticed some people also said, but its hard to tell since I already know about everything they are showing.

About getting gear from games you achieve in. Not only would it look cool, but would serve as a quick way of letting others know what stripes you have earned...because youre wearing them! Lets hope MS will be doing this...and Sony with Home as well
Obviously we dont HAVE to play games, but we might as well be efficient about doing so. Im not telling anyone to go out there and start hugging trees, but why not be more efficient if we can?
If we all just try to make small adjustments that dont even affect our quality of life, like using CFL or LED bulbs (that SAVE u money), having more efficient cars and turning off lights and appliances when we arent using them, we can make a big difference right there. Thats all Im saying....
I just wanna get my NXXXE on with tha Sugababes...whoever the hell they are...lol
Whats tha BFD? You can choose one and never bother with it again if u choose. I was surprised to find that the very evening that NXE had dropped a bunch of my friends had designed their avatars. And I had a good laugh looking at them! Especially the ones that actually look pretty close.
Are they similar to the Wii? Well they are avatars, so thats a no brainer. The same? No. And even if they were, who cares? Trophies are an obviously blatant copy of achievements (yet anoth...
and u can purchase the protection plan with Tiger. But MS DOES include a one-year warranty on refurbished consoles.
Funny how different articles written by acutal journalists are...thing I dont understand about the PS3 is it still has a switch in the back. Why? Since a lot of folks dont have easy access to the back of their system , they dont bother, and it continues to draw power. But why? I dont see any reason for that to be present.
The PS3 also needs a low-power download mode like the 360 as well. Every little bit counts. And dont let these morons who think the Earth is impervious to...
Who cares what unknown blogger from some unknown website sez about the GOTY? Meh...
So please explain to me how giving u a warranty is throwing you a bone? So when my launch 360 died, and they replaced it for free and it works great, that was throwing me a bone?
Here is a better question...what would you have MS do? Are they supposed to drive around knocking on doors, replacing 360's and giving out candy?
Truth be told, if the problems were half as bad as some would like u to believe, they wouldnt sell millions of games a week. Simple and plain....
An intelligent repsonse to any of the ridiculous claims he's laid forth? Nah, just some glib smart ass remark. If you are the editor-in-chief, then your website must truly be terrible.
People, take notice. THESE are the kind of journalists' that stoke the flames. Look at the comments on his article's website and you tell me...PS3 gamers, I feel sorry for those of u that arent short-sighted fools and have sites like this. I know you 360 players here are saying to yourself...&q...
Where will it end? Im no diehard fan of any inanimate object, but I cant attest to MS' good customer service. If your site is truly a fair and good site, then you have done a bang up job of dragging it through the mud.
So know you say that MS gives out the warranty knowing that people will just be too lazy or too stupid to call customer service? So first you try to argue that everyone knows how terrible the 360's reliability is, but on the other hand argue that there are a bun...
So you state that Nintendo has always had great quality but fail to mention the NES, the most unreliable system ever, when it worked 'right'? If your website caters to PS, then thats what you should deal with. How else does it look that a PS-oriented site is blasting the 360 for its system quality?
And we can dance around all day, but lets not kid ourselves, that was a trash and bash article. You wrote:
"Yes, the 360 gets a lot less play time for me, but a lo...
Wow pexextreme.com...you have sunken real low. Isnt it great when MS releases a shiny new OS with great functionality (Netflix is damn cool) all of these RROD stories come out? My favorite is when people say "What is MS gonna do about this?!" in obvious fake outrage. Three year warranty from date of purchase, and an extension of the warranty on any repaired console. Im not quite sure what else they are supposed to do.
At this point there is no real reason to join th...
"however, i simply don't approve of the hate Gabe Newell spews at the Playstation 3. he hasn't TOUCHED a dev kit, so i don't think he's really entitled to express his displeasure with the console."
I wholeheartedly disagree. Gabe knows programming, and he doesnt like the architecture of the PS3. he's a PC-centric dude and the 360 is an easier platform to dev for, especially in that regard, so he is more than entitled to say that. Does that mean he's right? Thats a ma...
