Square is a smart company. They have been talking for a while about the need for Japanese devs to expand and break out of their bubbles. They understand that with such competition, they need to be on as many consoles and platforms as possible. And making games for 360 has the added benefit of easy porting to PC, which is a market they have needed to enter for years.

UK is by far the biggest market in EU, and the 360 has been doing great there, and now they were able to outsell PS3 in smaller markets in the EU that they traditionally did not. Thats good news for MS obviously.

Its hard to ever say its gonna be the year of anything, because sometimes you just dont know. The only game so far that was guaranteed to move systems and rule sales for either console has been Halo 3. There will definitely be some big releases next year for the PS3...I would say GT5 will be the biggest. Biggest game of the year...prob FF13.
Of course there will be people again saying MS has nothing for next year, as if they didnt think that far ahead. Two Halo titles wont hu...
Its unfortunate that so many of u didnt enjoy GTA IV, I felt it was a great game. Im not sure if it was a 10, but pretty close if not. The story was cool to me because you could never quite know what would happen next. And I really liked that u had to choose whether or not to kill certain people. Not sure why they cut back on the clothes and a couple of other things, but GTA still definitely has more than enough stuff going on to keep u busy.

Tech demos are always cool. Im intrigued by the concept of 240fps...does that even make sense? I sure as hell wanna see that.
Also, my question is did Polyphony re-render out each screen at 1080p, or was it upscaled? Not that it matters, but Im curious. Thats a pretty thorough tech demo if so.

But seriously, if your drive is sticking it may go bad. If it does, just say you have RROD (even tho you will only get one red light), and they will fix it anyway. But normally, thats not covered by the three year warranty, so keep an eye on it.
not that I disagree with what u r saying, but sony's non-inclusion of the in-game music had nothing at all to do with MS. That had to do with their programming limitations at the time. In fact, Sony had done in-game music with the PSP (GTA) before the PS3 even came out. Once Sony's programmers were able to get the XMB to run in-game, they included the music feature.
Its pretty sad really. When two football teams play each other, people get injured, right? Those teams may be competing, but everyone takes a knee. Everyone wants their 'team' to win, but not like that.
What makes that REALLY sad is some people really DO see Sony/MS as being on a team, and will do or say anything to bring the other team down, in order to make themselves feel better. Take a step back, and look at all the negativity and anger here...you dont lash out against so...

I dont know for sure why you cant watch those films but if Sony Pictures releases are still up, then it will probably be resolved soon. Especially after MS worked that deal with Sony BMG for music stuff a while ago I doubt there is any conflict of interest.

It took maybe 3 minutes to download and update my box this morning b4 heading off to work. I personally like the avatars, and you dont need to use them so its no big deal. But I like seeing my avatar when I play Wii stuff, so I get an even better looking one for my 360 now.
The guide button menu is real slick, letting you do pretty much everything in a stripped-down blade interface if need be. Text looks much sharper as well. Will try out the netflix and all that when I get a...
Sony used to own a chunk of Square, but I believe that ended with the Enix merger. And yes we know they are multiplatform. So in review I was partly incorrect...and GWAVE is always wrong...lol

I wanna see what this community stuff is all about...and speaking of which, where the hell is the Live game "Dishwasher"??? I got the demo when they released the XNA games, and it was easily the best LIVE game yet...even better than Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers (yeah I said it!). Possibly one of the best side-scrollers I have ever played.

Square-Enix has a bias? Arent they part-owned by Sony? And though I could care less about what NG's affinities are, comparing a game developer (one of the biggest i might add) to a new NG developer just doesnt seem to make sense.
And maybe thats what has to happen. Who knows? But at the same time it also forces game makers to try to innovate...look at the Wii. Nintendo knew that it would lose a foot race between Sony and MS if they tried to compete in the same exact market, or at best be about even. But instead they decided to take a gamble and create something new, carving out their own niche and big chunk of the market.
But of course, MS and Sony arent just sitting there twiddling their thumbs, so...
