Would swear that the game was actually out already. Ill save judgement for when the game actually drops, but as far as being "defining" (this IS psxextreme.com here...) thats bull. To say that this game is as mind blowing as Gears was when it first dropped is baloney and hyperbole. Especially if it aint even out yet.
And since this is N4G, where for some inane reason "Home" is the most popular title (that is just sad...lol), most of you havent seen the game...
And watch a bunch of non-programmers argue over stuff they only have heard about. Classic.
What makes this especially funny is Gears 2 is arguably the best looking console game yet, and it only came out in November. Games have not only looked great on the 360 from the start (COD 2, Fight Night), but have continued to look better.
The other thing is Im not sure what people expect from either the 360 or PS3, but NEITHER will ever be able to run say Crysis at even clo...
and check out all sorts of new gear demoed at CES. The Sony organic LED is pretty cool...its really small, but its a paper thin, bendable screen.
Also Panasonic debuted the firts portable Blu-Ray player...though with only 800x600 res and an 8-inch screen, it kind of defeats the purpose of BR, not to mention PVP (portable video players) are becoming all the rage nowadays, especially since there's no need to lug around any discs.
Just fresh. And just for the record, I hope you all get it for the PS3 too...but it wouldnt make much sense if u havent played the first one. Though I suppose they could include an intro or something to get people up to speed.

The game does look pretty good though, the animations especially. CoD might be a bit smoother (might!), but K2 looks to have more detailed animations. It looks like it will def get a rental at least from me if my cheap ass roomie doesnt buy it for his PS3...
Lets step back from the usual banter for a sec (we ARE all gamers in here...), and understand that any virtual space, be it a chat room, Home, LIVE, all have the potential for some pretty sick activity.
People need to watch their kids, use them parental controls the systems have built-in...and just be good parents. Tho it is hard when there are so many outlets for kids to potentially tap into, far more than when I was a youngster some time ago.

People are falling all over this game and it hasnt even dropped yet. Why would MS be worried when this game wont even outsell Halo Wars, let alone ODST. If anything Sony is worried about Halo Wars taking away from the hype built around K2, which it will.
So we've had a total of three Halo games over the course of nearly 8 years so far, and theyre milking it? Was GTA milking it with Vice City and San Andreas? Final Fantasy? Metal Gear? MARIO for chrissakes???

To think about is Sonic games are primarily aimed at a younger demographic than most of us on here belong to, so what we see as bad or good that age range isnt probably even aware of.
Now that doesnt mean they cant satisfy both groups at once, but there simply is no need to include features or bells and whistles that most people playing the game wont even appreciate.
I think there are a number of reasons for Square's embrace of the 360, but the obvious one is the one Square has stated over and over again; they want to make more inroads into Western gaming markets. As much as it seems like they are making JRPG's for Japan, they are in fact making them available in multiple markets.

Obviously the 360 is a success, there is no questioning that. As far as price drops are concerned, people are quick to forget that the 360 didnt have its first price drop until 18 months after its release, which was the longest period any console had been out without a price cut.
And when there was a price cut, the first one was modest, and the second a little more generous, but put things into perspective for a moment...the 360 has been out for over 3 years now, and has ony lowe...
