@ candystop
I dont think the Xbox can do that. If it can, lemme know cuz thats something I have seriously overlooked. But Xbox should try to get Live messenger on NXE with cell support...I would have to pick up that chat pad for that...
I personally think it wouldnt matter much at all. But if you still cant get component working, there is always VGA if u want 1080p.
Looking around I couldnt find anything saying it will/wont accept 1080p via component...but I did find that thru testing it properly de-interlaces 1080i signals to 1080p. You may want to give that a try too, just to see.
From what I can tell thats a pretty nice projector...apparently they are bringing out a 4-LCD panel (opposed to 3...
thats a good idea...Sony may be contacting you...lol. But I was thinkng you could have your actual cell phone linked with it so youre getting your actual texts as well. And throw in AIM too. Get on it Sony...
Sorta reminds me of GTA 4...I loved how you could be in MP, and call your friends in-game from your GTA phone and it would initiate a private chat...kinda blew my mind!
@ Darkride
Well I am positive about the 360 outputting 1080p component...check all the number of settings...the 360 display settings, the projector settings. I cant positively say that its not malfunctioning, but that would be a pretty strange problem.
Chances are the projector doesnt accept 1080p thru component, since the whole real point of HDMI is HDCP, so most manufacturers are disabling that, and less are including VGA ports. I would probably search around and...
Could the virtual world no one asked for finally be ready? I kid...lets hope Sony is on the ball with this one. I personally dont care for it, tho I will take it for a spin...but i sincerely hope its coming soon for all of you that have been waiting...for some inexplicably godforsaken reason....;)
360 can output 1080p thru component, VGA, or HDMI. Few TV's or projectors accept 1080p thru component however.
And I dont know where u get that from, but the 360 has plenty in 1080p, not to mention a hardware scaler that can effeciently upscale to 1080p. Pretty much any new 360 game has 1080p output...which games are natively 1080p is another story, on either console. With that said, there is no one saying that games in native 1080p look significantly better. Case in point......
Im pretty psyched to try out NXE...especially for the Netflix feature. The avatars actually look cool, especially with so many choices for customization. I just like to see that theyre revamping the whole OS... its not that anything is wrong with the good ol blades. Im curious to see how themes will carry over.
I just dont understand what the author is talking about...360 has 1080p games. Few games are native 1080p anyhow, and no one ever singles out the ones that are for loo...
Ok...whose dummy account is this???
Maybe Sony or their stockholders will be disappointed...but gamers arent gonna be disappointed by adverts. You'd have to be a real cheerleader to be sad about sony or MS not advertising well.
Speaking of new adverts...they have finally been airing Gears commercials...and I think its the game commercial of the year....GCOTY baby! Hahahaa...I guess their strategy was to let the game come out b4 they started airing more ads.
The 360 20 million SW advantage over Wii is that much bigger when u consider how much of that Wii SW is Wii Play and Wii Sports, which both account for a lot of those sales. Of course 360 has bundles from time to time, but nothing comparing to those two titles...nor do they sell as much HW. And the games are $10 more expensive on average than Wii.
In reference to the PS3, Sony basically created their own problem, by including the BR (and WiFi, emotion chip...well, not anymore) ...
Wishing happy birthday to a console...yeah. Did anyone else read that letter?
"...because of the strong PS3 install base, helped Blu-ray win the format war."
Is this a call to arms? What the hell else goes on in Sony land??? Wait...I just figured it out...Home. They want people to live in their PS3's....virtual apartments, theatres...bowling alleys?! What the hell are u up to sony? I got my eye on you...
or did that article seem very strange. I wasnt sure if the author was talking about an electronics company or a deity. Wow...that made me step back for a minute and realize how pathetic some people are. I do this as a hobby, and discuss stuff on here for fun...but some people really take this crap serious.
I have yet to read the Xbox version of this article, so lemme go check that one out too...weird man
Halo suckas...thats all I really gotta say
Yet another highly-rated title from a top developer is upon us...too many games, not enuff time and money.
Of course, since this is a game from Valve (not exactly on the sony christmas card list this year...), people are coming from under the woodwork to speak badly of it. Makes no difference...will sell like hotcakes. And the Director AI...if only COD 4 had that for its single player...lol.
...is what a lot people here sound like. I cant believe people still think a game being on PC means its not exclusive. Thats just stupid. Were talking consoles here...99% percent of people dont play their PC from their couch. A lot of people have crummy graphic cards, if any at all. And while u could use a controller on a PC, its just not the same.
And lets not gloss over the glaringly obvious...PC = MS. I know thats a hard one to figure out, but stay with me here. The Xbo...
No reputable gaming site has come out and even compared Galaxy to LBP. I dont think they are in the same league, which is an additional hurdle for LBP. Galaxy is the pinnnacle of platformers (if u can even call it that), and combines great controls with extremely creative worlds. Coming from a longtime gamer that had completely put off playing anything Nintendo or platformy, I have to say that Galaxy is one of the best games ever made, simple and plain. It is a game that just oozes creati...
I partially agree with that, and I do agree with the sentiment. However the PS2 wouldnt be able to deliver on LBP's biggest promise...downloadable content. Not to mention graphics.
But then again, I think you are pointing to the game itself being a better seller on PS2...which brings up a good point. LBP's actual story has been universally described as being forgettable. Thats a huge problem. People need someone or something to fight for/against. Mario had the Princess/Bows...
LBP hasnt been igniting the industry, but its not a failure either. The biggest problem with LBP is the very reason it became popular in the first place...user generated content. It sounds good in practice, but most people dont wanna create much of anything...and now that Sony is heavily moderating the content its even worse (my mistake if thats not true...I have read that but it seems to be refuted here). And how many recreated Super Mario Bros or Sonic levels can u play thru until u real...
i hope Mad World is good...
This whole article is just useless...walking away...
