Sure the repairs sucked, but what made me stick by MS was the fact they came out and gave everyone a three year warranty as soon as they knew the problem was widespread, not to mention refunded money to anyone that paid for a repair. I had RROD once, sent it back and got a replacement in a week and a half. For me its just a gaming machine, so I can deal with that.

What happened to Sackboy, the saviour of the PS3? Yeah, right. Its funny that the only reason LBP gets praise is the inventiveness of the level creation...okay. But no one has come out and said what a great STORY or CONTROLS the game has. Because it doesnt. Its just a quirky platformer, and it cant touch the likes of Super Mario Galaxy, in terms of gameplay (or sales).
Yeah, it would be cool to play a redone level from Super Mario Bros or Sonic, but how long does that last? ...

Whose perception are you talking about? No one out there doesnt think the 360 isnt current-gen, thats just silly. And Im tired of STILL hearing about the 'potential' of the PS3 and how it is more powerful. Really? Gears 2 is the best looking console game yet, hands down. You can spend your money on potential all u want, but Ill spend mine on substance.

I swear that at the beginning of the year, people swore all of the big exclusives were coming to the PS3?! After Fable 2 selling over a million copies in its 1st week, and now Gears selling 2.1 MILLION IN ONE DAY, I would say its safe to say that was an incorrect statement. Gears 2 will sell more copies by the end of the year than probably all of the PS3 exclusives combined...or at least close.

Gears 2 will be the shiznit, and it will kill in sales for those that care. LBP looks to good as well...get over it folks. Why are pepole so obsessed with how their favorite games are perceived?
In case people haven't noticed, this is competition! Way I see it, if MS wants to pay to be able to give me more DLC (some fee, some free), then Im all good with that. If you buy the game, you get what u paid for on either system. Simple. Just that 360 owners get the option to get some more DLC if they so choose.
I dont see any reason to be bitter over it, or to accuse MS of doing anything besides the obvious.
Switching a disc does not compare to an install. How hard is it to switch to a different disc after several hours of gameplay? Not very. Not to mention there are very few multiple disc titles on 360 to date.
I own all three, so Im speaking from experience, and I loathe haveing to install anything on a console besides a system update. Optional is one thing, MANDATORY another.
I hate having to install demos from PSN after I've already downloaded them, and this sucks even worse. This is why they will have no trouble fitting MGS4 on one (or even two...OMG!) DVD on 360. The PS3 has to have more uncompressed game data since it doesnt have the memory. Case in point...Cod 3 is 22GB on the PS3, and things havent changed much.
Ninja Gaiden 2...f'n hard as hell, but not unfairly so. Halo 3 on legendary (solo campaign...no Co-op!) WipEout HD is another one
Games were impossibly hard back then. I used to think maybe it was because I was younger at the time...not so. Though I loved my NES, I also HATED it at the same time...many games and controllers were thrown against the wall.
And even worse...remember being far in a hard game, with no saves or passwords no less, and all of a sudden...BEWWWWWW...your game was stuck and the last midi tone would just ceaselessly play out. I no longer want to relive the trauma...
Honestly, I have seen barely any commercials for Gears 2 now that I think about it...I have seen more for Fable 2. I live in Los Angeles, and they air the LBP and Resistance commercials pretty often...I cant remember which show it was on comedy central, but the whole thing was sponsored by R2, and had commercials for it on the whole time. But i definitely havent seen the Gears commercials like they ran for the first one (which were great ads BTW)....and here in Hollywood there is a HUGE adv...
