So basically they sell you half a game on disc, then expect you to run to the internet to download the rest. That is pretty lame especially since you can't back up game patches. This is getting out of hand. Can you imagine if you replace your HDD or have to delete stuff for space how long it will take to re-download all of these stupid patches again (providing they are still available)?

You wouldn't be saying that if you knew what they had to give up for that. 60 FPS is very resource intensive and hardware power is not infinite, especially on a console. I would have rather had sharper textures, even better lighting and shadows, better/more particles, AA etc. This is not some twitch shooter, it is slower paced and all about mood. Higher graphical fidelity would have been a better tradeoff.

They say that video won't do it justice. That makes me think that it is the same looking game with very similar textures and lighting etc. The only difference being 1080p and 60fps framerate which doesn't come over well on compressed youtube videos. Many would see the video and comment that it looks basically the same as it did on the PS3 and derail the hype train.
Now if the graphics were greatly upgraded you would see the difference on a video and it would do it ...
Well if the kids are straight it shouldn't matter. They wouldn't WANT to play a gay character. It is not like having one in the game will turn them gay, it don't work like that. In the US though many states are now allowing marriage equality. Even some of the reddest states are having anti-gay cases thrown out of court. It isn't illegal here like it is in Russia and some other countries. The younger generation here mostly doesn't care. As the older crowd dies off these "controversies" will too mostly.

The original Xbox had a couple of 1080 games, the PS3 a few more. If you downgrade the graphics enough it could be possible. Maybe PS2+ level graphics could work. Another possibility is that it is two 720p screens like in their hmz-t3 and someone heard it wrong and just added 720p together as "1440p".

250! That is way cheap for an HMD. Sony makes an HMD now (hmz-t3) that is used for 3D movies mostly, it is around $1000.00! Why I don't care for indies on PS4?
1) download only, DRM. You don't truly own these games, just a license to use. You can't back them up for use later if they are pulled from the servers like you can with Android etc.

They are still working on Drive Club, Deep Down and a bunch of other games but we see the occasional screen shot or trailer of those. Not sure why nothing for this and it is less than a month til release. That just makes us suspicious that it doesn't look much better except for res and framerate.
My TV doesn't run at a native resolution of 720p, 792p, or 900p, it runs at 1080p! Native resolution at 1:1 pixel mapping ALWAYS looks better than pixelated, filtered, upscaled crap.

They need to make money somehow. Studios don't stay in business by investing millions in game development just to give it away free. So obviously there will be tons of micro transactions and incentive to buy in game items with real money. Nothing is free. They need to make money some way. Studios are in it to make money, not friends. Micro transactions and pay to win are annoying. I don't want to have to go into shops in the game and have to use real money every time for weapons and ammo etc. It is an awful model. Just charge me the damn $60.00 and be done with it. If they come out with DLC later that is compelling I may or may not buy it.
Not me either, I would want a PS4 version of Skyrim.
