What bothers me about indies is that they are digital only and full of restrictive DRM. You can't even back them up in case your HDD fails or gets full. I can back up my Android stuff, why not these? They are like rentals that you don't truly own.

I agree Knack wasn't that bad. It wasn't great but considering it was a launch title it was decent. A new one could be good if it fixes the flaws of the first one including being too short.
And if all else fails for MS to get devs to make xbone games run at the same resolution and framerate as the PS4, go around with their checkbooks open to devs and demand parity. Make them gimp the PS4 version to look the same as the xbone. Now they can claim getting rid of Kinect and DX12 were the reason for the magical transformation of the weaker hardware. It is also about native 1:1 pixel mapped resolution. That alone makes a BIG difference. Most of the blur you see while not native res is due to the upscale filter, that alone makes things blurry.
That is the thing that people miss. They always say things like "it is only 180p difference, that isn't much". It is more than just that 180p, it is about the pixels matching your display at 1:1, unfiltered.

Scalers don't magically "increase resolution". All they do is stretch the lower res image to fit the 1080p TV so that you don't have a black border. That involves duplicating pixels at regular intervals to fill in the space. It is wrong to say it is 1080p because it isn't. It is only 800 lines not 1080 lines. The only difference is that it isn't upscaling that to get to 1080p which is ok as that gets rid of scaling artifacts and filtering which can make things blurry. It still outputs 1:1 pixel map on a 1080p TV but the problem is that there are bars.

In other words they sell you an incomplete game and then require you to connect to the internet to get the rest. This practice sucks. You never truly own the full game. When your HDD gets full or breaks imagine how long it will take to re-download hundreds of gigs of patches for all of these games, that is if they haven't been taken down. If/when they do take the patches down you are stuck with an incomplet...
The problem I have is that the 900p looks like crap. Everything is so jaggie. Look at wires or fences from a distance and you will see bits literally disappear. The game should have been 1080p at least.
Because the new consoles have slow CPUs and low end GPUs. They have the advantage of being fixed hardware to be optimized but that only gets you so far. I would have thought at least they could do 1080p on the PS4.

They are trying too hard to find flaws. Flight recorders are supposed to survive disasters, that is why they recover them from planes that crash and "blow up". The recorder could have been shot out into space automatically just before the explosion too, who knows. I do find it far fetched that they just happened to find it though but still, it is fiction ...
The main issue will be when running emus your phone battery will last you like 15 minutes.

Ok so they made a rigged up an Nvidia Shield. Cool idea I guess but I already have the Shield for emus mostly. The battery life and sound is much better on the clamshell Shield though so that is a better solution if you have the money.
They can only "grab" cash if you give it to them. Just because a remake is done doesn't mean anyone is forced to buy it. If you played it and don't think it is worth it, don't buy, then there is no cash grabbed. If one thinks that more res and smoother framerate is worth buying again then that is their choice too.

Are people really into arena fighting games still? I thought that fad died down years ago and has mostly become a niche.
That doesn't mean that they couldn't at least release a few screenshots of the game, that would at least show off the better shadows, textures and character models unless there really isn't much of a difference there...
I guess then no one wants/buys movies re-mastered on Blu-ray that they had on VHS tape by that logic. After all it is the same movie with the same story and always ends the same but is just higher resolution. I don't see why all of the moaning, if you don't like it don't buy it.

You mean like how Insomniac ditched the PS4 in favor of the xbone with exclusive Sunset Overdrive? It goes both ways and the xbone actually comes out ahead. All of the Destiny extras ARE coming to the xbone eventually. S.O. is NEVER coming to PS4. Same with Titanfall that is never coming to PS4. You xbone fans have it better and still moan about it.
