Maybe because it is obvious that they won't play it on the xbone because everyone knows it is less capable and will be the worst version, it isn't worth mentioning as it is obvious.
So what they are saying is they they will forgo the best console version for the top of the heap high end PC. Nothing too revealing here.
It would only be "shocking" if they were going to play the 900p xbone version.
So they will play it on the system with the best graphics - the high end PC, that is about as shocking as saying the sun comes up in the east...
@Major_Glitch
It will go like this: eSRAM, teh cloudz, DX12, secret sauce, ADHD UI/OS.
I think that is mostly bull as you can't upgrade hardware with software. Sure the tools will get better on the Bone, but they will get better on PS4 too.
You can hit 1080p on any game, you just need to downgrade other stuff. MS probably put out a bulletin to devs to try to hit 1080p because Bone was getting bashed for not doing it. Now the question...
This release then patch/complete the game later thing is getting annoying and really is getting out of hand. This game doesn't release for awhile so why not include the weather and these other features on the disc? Why do they hold stuff back like this? What about those who don't/can't connect the console to the internet? What is the point of buying a physical copy to "own" the game when what you have is unfinished and buggy. I can connect but always having to go on...
Because they don't want you to have the complete game on disc. They want you to have to run to the internet to get the full game and "while you are there" you may see something to buy. So eventually when the patch is no longer available and you reinstall the game for whatever reason you only have the incomplete version. I guess it is their way to make sure games all "expire" eventually since patches can't be backed up.
So anyone without internet...
Except that cats can have kittens but kittens can't.
That doesn't make any sense. The PS4 plays more current gen games in 1080p than the Bone, and many games on the Bone that are current gen are 792p like Titanfall. When a game struggles on PS4 it goes down to 900p but there are no 792p or 720p games on PS4 like there are on the Bone.
"Xbox One Has a faster UI and I can have 4 apps and 1 game running at once or 2 on the screen at the same time"
Which is one of the reasons the xbone consistently lags behind the PS4 in game performance. All of that bloat and overhead of the OS and multitasking takes CPU cycles away from games. Having things running at the same time or having them in memory is not free.
To me I would rather have more resources available to the games so they can lo...
And knowing the "must include anything online" fad these days it will probably have some kind of online MP mode that will shorten the single player mode and delay the game further. Hope not but this seems to be a trend.
I actually agree with the first part even though sarcastic. I really *don't* care about interfaces, social crap, features, or apps. I don't play interfaces, I play games and I want those to look as good as possible on a console. Why would I want to play the version with a lower framerate, or lower resolution with downgraded AO, shadow maps, etc? Just so I can "snap apps"? I swear everyone must have A.D.D. and cares more about doing 12 things at once than actual gaming. ...
I don't play updates, I don't play features, I don't play apps, I don't sit there and play with the UI and think "wow this is great, what a fun UI".
I play games. Said games look better on the PS4, the hardware is better, it can hit higher resolutions, framerates and have better effects more often. You can upgrade the PS4 software (although I don't really care) but you are stuck with the xbone hardware.
1080p IS a selling point...
@YouAreSalty
"Have you heard of the term "software drives hardware"?
Yes you are right, and Sony wins. This is because the primary software used on game consoles AKA "games" are better on the PS4. Multiplats run better, exclusives look better.
This is why the PS4 sells better than xbone, because the better game "software" is driving sales of the better gaming "hardware".
Considering how stuff like this gets hacked like Target did etc then yes these are better than putting your CC info out there. Then again PSN never got hacked yet either... oh wait.
@Consoleslateagain-late again.
There is no "ripoff". It isn't like Sony holds a gun to our head and makes people buy remasters. You have a choice, like it then buy it, if you think it is a ripoff then don't. Even someone with a room temperature IQ can figure that out.
There are other reasons some buy remasters including wanting to play with better graphics, never played the game before etc...
PS Now sucks anyway. It is online only, rental only with downgraded compressed PS3 level 720p graphics and input lag.
For those who want to OWN their games and at 1080p, 60FPS, better textures etc. PS now is no option and remasters are a much better option. If you don't think they are worth the money wait awhile and buy used/reduced price.
But 60 FPS doesn't require any more disk space and 1080p doesn't either for in-engine stuff. Now better textures do but the difference probably not enough to fill a Blu-ray unless the PS3 versions were that big. If there was allot of pre-rendered stuff and they remastered it at 1080p it would be too big,but if they instead used the game engine to render cutscenes in real time with the textures already used in game then they could probably pull it off.
I had a 360 la...
No it is not. It is not because you will have to downgrade other graphics just to get that 60 FPS, it isn't free. It isn't always worth it depending on the game. You will have to cut resolution, textures, lighting, shadows, AA, AO etc just to get a downgraded looking game that runs smoother.
Downgraded graphics running 60fps is not "always better".
Nothing is free. You either have a game that looks more bland but at 60FPS, or one with more realistic graphic rendering at 30FPS. Having to render double the FPS is very taxing. Hardware is not infinite. You ALWAYS can do better graphics at 30 FPS than at 60 no matter which system you play, it is simple math.
For the single player mode of this game I think it would have been better to have better lighting, AA, AO etc but at 30 FPS for better mood, and the MP could be at ...
Movies remastered on Blu-ray aren't "necessary" either if they were once on VHS tape as well then, right?
Silly. Actually I used to be a 360 player last gen, and bought both this gen. I prefer the PS4 though because multiplats look better on the PS4 with the higher res/framerate better AO etc. My TV is 1080p not 792p.
I guess I am an xbone owner too but I never use it so it almost don't count. I am not into online and don't care about ADHD OS, just games. I bought DR3 on it and the graphics looked like crap, never played it again. I will go for the Halo collection a...
