DriveClub wouldn't need to take up time from ANY of the other games shown. They could (and should) have shortened the boring and WAY too long TV TV TV, and Powers rant to make room for it. That part of the conference was sleep inducing.

Since it is a game that has the rare distinction of being an exclusive AND still (hopefully) coming out THIS year it should have been shown.

I care about resolution, textures, lighting, AA, shadow quality much more than 60 FPS in a game like this honestly. Rather than downgrade one of those (they will probably leave out AA) just to hit 60 fps I would have rather had better graphics. The game is about mood and story and better graphics would give a better sense of place and immersion. TLOU isn't a dudebro twitch shooter which is where 60 FPS is more important.

The Xbone TR port wasn't poorly done, the hardware design of the Bone itself was.

What nonsense is that? I never said it shouldn't have MP, just that it is lacking an offline SP mode and I was disappointed about it.

1080p bumpmapped, normal mapped S#!t, next gen is great!

The framerate and screen tearing may have put some people off. They might not be smart enough to realize that it is still WIP and won't be released like that. Still it may have been better to show this real gameplay with a banner at the bottom of the screen saying "Game is WIP, has not been optimized" or something like that. CGI trailers are lame.

I played their stuff on the PS1. The King's Field games were great for their time. First person action RPGs like those using polygonal graphics were rare.

I can actually tolerate some frame drops, it doesn't bother me all that much honestly. Sure I would rather not have them. Everyone said that Thief had bad framerates but I am almost done with it and saw nothing that really bothered me.

What a HATE is screen tearing. I hate it with a passion, I would rather have some dropped frames than that awful tearing. It looks like the hardware is defective when it does that. I have seen many games on the 360 that have it in the f...

For you maybe. If playing an action RPG, FPS in SP etc. I want the best graphics and I want the game to at least render at the native 1080p res of my TV. Anything less is bogus. These made up resolutions like 792p are a joke. There are no 792p native TVs. Upscaling looks like crap, with the blur filter that is put over it and the terrible aliasing and degradation of distant objects and textures.

Go to your PCs settings and change the resolution to something other than y...

Fvck microtransactions in $60.00 games! If I spent that money why do I need to go online and pay more to get the whole thing? It is a scam and we shouldn't support it. If we boycott it they will stop, if we accept it every game will require you to be online and pay more than your initial purchase to finish/get the complete game.

The only place where I think it is ok is in F2P, they need to make money on what they did. Then again if everyone supports this, everything w...

Looks like a cool concept. Too bad it is online MP only.

This game came from nowhere and shot up to my most anticipated. It looks amazing and since it is From Software it won't suck. From Software is great, I have played their stuff all of the way back to the King's Field games on the PS1.

I love the moody gothic art style. I really hope this one isn't delayed, I will cry.

Coming out on top is disputable. All of those CGI trailers instead of gameplay, way too much on indies, and TV,TV,TV for 20 minutes really was terrible, I almost fell asleep during those parts. Then the grand finale, UC4 was only a short cutscene with zero gameplay. If they shortened all of the TV crap into 5 minutes and showed more GAMEPLAY(no CGI), and at least 20 seconds of UC4 gameplay they would have crushed MS.

I guess they win by default as MS also were showing all ...

It looks like a cool concept. The online only multiplayer only kills it for me as I am not into that. It does look more interesting than the standard online dudebro shooter though.

I liked this game but it seemed very short to me. I am the type who takes time with games and doesn't rush through. I couldn't extend this one very long, it was over before I knew it. I guess they rushed it out to have something, hopefully it will be longer next time. This DLC should have ben real cheap considering that even if this was part of the game it would still have been short.

You don't even know what an API like DX12 is. You think it is some secret sauce that will magically transform the hardware. It isn't, all an API is is an abstraction layer. Coders write to the API the API talks to the hardware. It makes it easier for devs, it doesn't turn a Bone into PS4. If you just go straight to the metal and eliminate the middle man you don't even need an API like DX12 it just gets in the way as Naughty Dog coders have stated.

They need ...

A few things wrong there.

2009 mid range PC. If you just pluck out CPU speeds and graphics card numbers, maybe but still a stretch. How many 2009/2010 mid range PCs had 8 core CPUs and 8 GB of GDDR5 RAM? You also miss though that these aren't racks of PCBs strung together through allot of PCB traces on slow busses. It is all on one die, very close together using a much smaller chip size with fast access to a unified memory pool. This increases efficiency by allot.

Don't like, don't buy.

I think it is SMART remastering and releasing for the new consoles. This game was released after the new consoles were announced and many preordered the next gen systems. Many (like me) held back on buying new games for the older ones when the new systems would be out so soon. I never played this so for me it is new.

Also it is a downer that it is coming so late. Fall is going to be crowded. Too bad they couldn't relea...

I agree with most of that. I do think that games do look better at native resolution. In most cases that is 1080p. There is more to PQ than just how many pixels are pushed but upscale artifacts add blurriness and pixel crawl due to the filter they put over the screen. At native res 1:1 there is no filter and it looks sharper. I sit relatively close so I can see right away if something is not native res. Watchdogs for example looks pretty bad at 900p, with loads of aliasing and filter bl...

That is because your brain is right, believe your brain! This is a cutscene not the game. No Physics, AI, collision, NPCs, or game code is used for this demo. It is purely scripted on rails then rendered on the PS4 GPU, that is it.

People need to take a deep breath and come back to Earth. The *game* will still look great but it won't be as dramatic looking as this demo.
