On top of everything, the PC version is missing Ambient Occlusion. Also, remember those rain textures on Batman, the Batmobile, and everything ? The wet flowing rain texture ? That's basically missing from the PC version. Yep, missing.

https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Oh, right, I forgot to mention the textures seem to be significantly worse than console version in some parts.

Brilliant, the PC version is literally missing the rain textures that are part of the base game. No rain textures on Batman and the Batmobile.

WTF ?

No ambient occlusion either ? This is the first time I'm hearing or seeing this in a PC port. Good job Rocksteady and WB.

Except Arkham Knight on PC is missing Ambient Occlusion, the DOF is not used as much, the rain textures on Batman and the Batmobile seem to be missing ??? All those things are present in the console versions

Did Dark Souls have any problems like that ? lol

Are all people on n4g this fucking retarded ? I didn't agree with some of GS criticism, but 7/10 MIGHT just mean that, you know, he had issues with it and was posting his opinion as a reviewer ? Don't mind me I'm thinking out loud here.

I used to think it was console fanboys doing this following mediocre exclusive game reviews. Over time I've realize it's just n4g commenters.

Fuck, EVERY single opinion slightly against popular opin...

It looks really interesting, but the public demo at e3 was a little underwhelming. All they did was a little stealth and then bow and arrow combat, and then stopped. Combat with that big dino might be fun to play, but not to watch. Waiting for another longer demo which actually shows or details lot more of the stuff they have.

Right now, I'm excited about the game, but only because of the info I've heard, and because... Guerilla Games is making it, and they do have...

The gameplay demo at E3 was ok... They chose to spend most of the time showing a bossfight (not really boss fight), which was basically shoot arrow, dodge, shoot arrow.
I wish they actually showed off or teased more stuff - the open world, it's size/scale, the rpg mechanics, loot... rather than only basic action.

Judging from the article, it seems the basic action is more complex and tactical, but even that wasn't shown in the demo. It was just bow and a...

It's a first step. I suspect they will improve it further in future updates. I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually add in windshield rain drop 'physics' like DC. Right now you have those streaks of raindrops and a wiper effect that is really good, but does not seem to blend in properly.

4010d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

That can only be a good thing :)

I must say that DC has had a good impact in this way. The post launch support was fantastic, and if pCars does the same, it's epic. Imagine what we'll get if they keep improving like DC did.

'bringing great movies to the console'

nah, bringing great games to the console. :)

I understand what you mean - movie like quality and attention to detail, but it's a very important thing that Naughty Dog understands they are not here to make a movie. That's why their campaigns are never shallow, artificial, unlike many others. They weave the gameplay right into the story and presentation so that it fits in perfectly !

" there wasn't enough going on"

exactly. More complexity, more simulation during gameplay. Learn from games like The Last Of Us, which is also linear and story focused, but not shallow in the least !

Gears Of War 4 seems to suffer from the same problem. Can't really tell though - maybe the gameplay will be more complex... The demo at e3 sucked so bad. Devs need to realize that COD and BF campaigns are not a good model anymore. If your campai...

Naughty Dog are at the next level. Every single game of their's oozes quality. I thought the first Uncharted was kind of boring, but maybe that's because I played it after Uncharted 2.

Recently played TLOU. My word, what a game. I think TLOU is their best game, then Uncharted 2. TLOU is hands down one of the best games I've ever played.

You don't even know much about the game. That gameplay demo didn't show much more than standard 3rd person action, after a glimpse of hunting/stealth. The story and setting were very intriguing, but there really wasn't much shown in that gameplay demo. They just focused on a bossfight of sorts, which really sucks - that stuff is boring to watch. Shoot arrow, dodge, shoot arrow, dodge shoot arrow; the takedown was nice though.
I guess this is fair enough because it...

It's a first party title mate.
1. They've been working for this specific hardware. Everything they have is running on PS4.
2. It's exclusive, meaning they can get a lot more out of it that, say, Witcher 3. This game will probably look amazing for an open world game

The Witcher 3 and Watchdogs - you can't blame them. They started developing their games as graphical powerhouses way before the next gen consoles came out. They came out kind of unde...

For a gameplay demo, it was good, but not amazing. Maybe it was just the demo, but there is no way to tell much about it. Only a few gameplay mechanics and basically a bossfight of sorts. So far standard 3rd person action and nothing more was shown, with that nice tether weapon though. The story and setting were way more exciting from than anything else in this reveal.

Uncharted 4. Now that gameplay demo was bloody amazing. Shows the attention to detail, the fluidity of weap...

It should definitely be XBONE exclusive. Cloud is really powerful, and they can use it to simulate the Mako tire treads and lateral exhaust venting simulation. Cloud is brilliant and has amazing potential. Just look at the clouds and the lighting it produce - you can see power in it. It's real deal, and XBONE is going to use the cloud power.

PS4, on the other hand, can only harness hydroelectric power from the rivers of tears that Sony Pony cry when they see MS cloud pow...

Seriously. Good Lord it was boring. Come onstage, tell everyone exactly what will show and when.

Come on stage, talk extensively about the game, and the philosophies behind it, and gameplay, and shit, while showing some pictures, or some gameplay if we're lucky. Then, after spending all the time doing that, show a short trailer with very little gameplay in it.

Atleast for Battlefront they did a good job with the gameplay. Unfortunately, they also spent ...

I have to say that in the case of GTA 5 specifically, there really isn't an issue. The picture isn't suggestive or inappropriate to begin with.

It's never been a big thing, and no one is making it out to be. Still, for GTA Vice City and SA, it's always been a funny litte issue that some can relate to. As kids this was one of the problems with loading up San Andreas. All the other pictures were fine, because they were just pictures of gangsters doing cool gangs...

Honestly, this demo shows some pretty kickass graphics. It's going to be one of the best looking open world games. The attention to detail, the lighting and animation is way past previous games. Look at the lighting and shadowing especially.

Graphics aren't the biggest part of Fallout, but I have to say, the games looks freaking great.
