well, fair enough. It looks that good, lol.
Well, visuals tend to be the bigger element. Think about it this way, you can play most games without sound (it will be rather shit, yes, but you can somewhat play them).
You cannot play any game without visuals. I don't know if this logic works or not, but going from there, I think visuals become slightly more important. Grahpics give you most of the feedback, they convey most of the gameplay. In most games, you rely much more on graphics than sound.

Good Lord, Who cares ?
These retards think every story has to have female characters that are powerful and strong AND not in any way subject to other male characters will AND never need saving by male characters AND need to do things on their own terms.
Wow, Poison Ivy is one of the most powerful characters in the game, and the part early in the game with the gas chamber shows that. She's above the fear toxin entirely. BUT YOU CAN'T SETTLE FOR THAT...
Ghost Recon Wildlands didn't get mentioned here. That trailer had the best visuals I've ever seen. A draw distance 10 times any other game. Tesselation and parallax mapping literally everywhere, volumetric clouds, complex lighting, Screen space reflections and every post processing effect you can think of. Just watch the end of the trailer. Never seen environments look close to that.
Unfortunately, that was just a reveal trailer and was probably running on an insan...
Well, as far as third person action goes.
but even then, I feel that if they ever did do any other game, be it FPS or rpg of some kind. It would be among the best of that genre too.
I don't know, after playing TLOU and Uncharted 2... their games are experiences that truly come together perfectly in EVERY single aspect. Specificly the gameplay ! Good Lord, the gameplay in TLOU. That combat... Intense, satisfying, believable.
Hope they release an extended version sometime soon
Good, a 30fps stable should be the minimum. This game is first party exclusive so it's expected. Other multiplat games need to do the same. Arkham Knight seems to have done that on console, which is nice.
That's fine, but I hate those retarded Sony exclusive level this and that. It's such a cringeworthy thing to see in press conferences. Get this 2 weeks early on XBOX. Get this only on PlayStation. They kept on doing that throughout both press conferences, and it was stupid. Leaves such a bad taste in the mouth.
CDPR did multiplatform right. Sure there was that downgrade issue and they should have communicated that better, but people forget just how well they handl...
Yes, lets hope they don't build an amazing series and then throw it all out the window. You know, in the last 10 minutes, suddenly throw all the lore and fiction and coherence out the window and make the entire series all about one vague thing that's completely unrelated to anything in the series.
I am actually quite sure that they won't screw it up this time. Obviously with ME3's ending, something went wrong. There was a rush, some mismanagement with the stor...
The reveal sucked big time. Not only that, but it was also graphically underwhelming compared to other games shown.
Also, another thing, if they don't move past the 'move and shoot' formula without adding in a little complexity or depth, it's going to suck. They can't make Gears 3 level campaign again with better grahpics. I hope they don't fall into that trap.
Even COD has started to somewhat adapt by adding in complexity. We'...
Probably the most visually impressive game I've seen. Consoles will not be able to run it.
I fully approve of dumbing it down on consoles to get 30fps. Stable 30 minimum is absolutely a must, as recent console titles have demonstrated. Doesn't matter if grahpics aren't as good. Atleast stable 30.
The question then is will these options be left on PC for players to scale up if they want. Hope so, but... don't think that will be the case.
Well, you're lucky.
Even then, that's not entirely true. The PC version is actually missing grahpical features. This patch fixes a couple of those, the most important ones imo.
Now they still need to add in the missing high res textures.
Quantum Break isn't a playable movie any more than Uncharted is.
Both games will probably be awesome. UC4 because Naughty Dog. Quantum Break because Remedy is also brilliant. They have not released a single mediocre game so far. MP1, MP2 and Alan Wake were all amazing.
@Ermac_Wins
Never played Uncharted then. One of the most interactive, high quality action games. A good example of how to do linear games. Levels are linear, but the gameplay does ...
graphics are a HUGE part of Uncharted. There's a reason ND spend somuch time on the visuals and effects. I'm not saying that's bad or they're hiding anything. It is a main selling point, and to some the main selling point
Their games play absolutely amazing too. Just played TLOU a couple of weeks back - one of the best. In terms of visual fidelity though, their games are literally THE BEST in some ways.
"It's a clickbait site"
So every review less than an 8 or 9 is clickbaiting ? As we all know, any review that's unpopular always gets called out by n4g comments as "clickbaiting"
Now, hypothetically speaking, if I were a journalist and had a 7/10 experience, and I was just putting up my honest opinion. A 7/10 on a game that's popular for others. What would I have to do to not get called out for clickbaiting ? Or are you sugges...
Good. As botched as the launch was, this is the best thing that could happen after all that. This is the only way they can fix it up and add in the missing features.
Still more than worth it to have a gaming PC. Not to mention the issues on tons of console titles. Have people completely forgotten about those ? Most recent being the Witcher 3, running bad on console, Project Cars was even worse. Also, the previous Batman Arkham games were way better on PC (I've played them on console)
Console and PC both have pros and cons. Lets just leave it at that. People who have the money can go ahead a buy a PC, and it gives them certain benef...
Such a logical, reasonable analysis you have there.
They can start by patching in the rain texture effects ? you know, one of the basic, core visual effects in the game we've seen in every gameplay presentation, that happens to be completely missing from the PC version ? LOL
Along with the Ambient Occlusion and the normal resolution textures ofcourse.
You know, the least you could do is bring the PC version to par with the console version graphically. Funny how it runs bad even though it's actually mis...
DC is the best looking racing game, yes, I agree.
This article is kind of dumb though - these are based on screenshots. So many games have been able to do this for a while now - Project Cars, or even Forza or GT could have done the same. Those games, especially Pcars have been capable of extremely photorealistic screenshots for a long, long time. How many screenshots from PCars look absolutely photoreal ? Tons and tons of them.
Not to mention these screenshot...
