It will be a sizable $60 game with more and more story content releasing post launch. You aren't paying for any of it. It's additional content - more missions, for free. The only thing that might feel 'episodic' as the guy said in the article, is the story. They want to have it 'evolve' and react over time and have limited time assassinations and what not. They aren't charging anyone anything extra for any of this.
Sure, it's a little sad t...
So this is basically a proper, full fledged RPG.
Also,
' There's a "full climbing and traversal system" says Jan, "you can climb up mountains, climb into trees, swim through rivers"
Climbing into trees. That in particular sounds awesome.
Finally, a grahpics comparison showing the SAME parts from both consoles.
So many stupid comparisons with one half on PS4, the OTHER half on XBOX. That's so retarded.
This video has the same half being played for both. Only way you can actually compare.

"Our team has limited resource, so we make console then team shift to PC. We are trying our best"
Unlike some other games on PC, MGS Ground Zeroes on PC was really really good. It ran great and looked fantastic, with quite a few extra graphics options for PC !
Every game isn't doing it.
People are forgetting that the three biggest examples so far - Watch Dogs, Witcher 3 and The Division were all showcased as graphical powerhouses BEFORE the consoles came out. As it turns out, the consoles weren't as powerful as any of them predicted (not trying to bash consoles, this is just fact).
Ofcourse they had to gimp features to make it run. What else can they do ? They simply didn't have it running on target ...
Well, a lot of people got lucky doing lots of things that might seem simple to do. You can say that for quite a few things.
At the end of the day though, how likely is it that someone persists that long and has the personality that happens to appeal to that many youtube viewers ? Whatever he did, clearly he did it right.
E3 was one of the most exciting in recent history.
Bethesda's conference though... What a conference. None of the crap you get in other conferences. Just a joy to watch throughout.
Stop being dicks. They wanted to do a futuristic game, they did a futuristic game. So what if they have jetpacks and stuff. Isn't that good for gameplay ? More variety ?
Just because the Deus Ex trailer came out before COD trailer. Copying this, copying that. There are tons of games that do that, so shut the hell up. Bashing COD for no reason.
COD has enough legit reasons to bash it, don't add unfair reasons to that. lol.
We'll just have ...
The best part of Uncharted and TLOU ? They look like movies in terms of quality and presentation, but they are so INTERACTIVE and responsive to player choice. When I say choice I mean small gameplay choices - like who to start punching and when and where, before shooting someone in the face.
TLOU combat was as interactive and complex as any other good game, but almost every time, the way it played out just looked and sounded incredible !
Irrelevant. What are you going on about ? Trying to start a flame war or something ?
Or maybe they just didn't like it. I can say "they just made something different" for anything, for any design choices that are considered plain bad.
Taking some criticisms of games from reviews -
Repeating waves of enemies ? Braindead friendly AI ? Some people had problems with story. Some thought gameplay was too simplified. Not enough depth
Well, they just made it that way....
That... doesn't work. So while it may...
You can love the game, that's fine. Many did.
The 'Witch Hunt' is what you expect when you have a first party console exclusive, and issues such as QTEs pop up. QTEs, simplified gameplay, handholding etc. These issues are legit, but stuff like QTE has such bad connotations these days. The press picks apart most big games like this
Do you remember how Ryse : Son Of Rome got absolutely BUTCHERED by press before release ? It's the same thing, and it was...
Nothing. It's just that it apparently had it's issues, and these issues were reported by a lot of people.
The critics said things about the gameplay being way too simple, hand holding, repeating waves of enemies, friendly AI that simply won't hit a thing.
QTEs ? Some people liked the boss fight QTE sections. Others didn't. Some people hated the TPS combat because it was way too simple, and liked the rest of it. Others hated the QTE sections altogeth...
It was actually something special, especially story and lore. If they didn't rush the story and also if the gameplay presentation wasn't so simplified...
They should have done a sequel with much more complex gameplay. More mechanics and more depth, and it seems ok to me then.
Loved the gameplay they showed. So many things to do it looks like. Vehicles look like a ton of fun. Just planning out a mission and completing separate objectives in coop sounds amazing though. Also, skydiving <3
This is also probably the best looking game I saw at E3. Sure, there was Uncharted, but the open world environments they showcased at the end of the trailer looked... insane.
The draw distance was some ridiculous level. There was tesselation and...
That doesn't mean the game should force it on you half the time during the campaign. It's worrying that so many are saying you have to use it in just about every situation in the campaign.
The driving looks awesome.
Those tank battles, what is up with those ? They look incredibly boring.
Just Cause 3 too :)
That's honestly the title in which I'm most excited for Havok physics xD
To be expected I guess. Is Uncharted 4 also coming out next year ? or this year ?
To every person complaining about downgrade.
You don't know that yet. it probably is downgraded, but you don't know that.
The gameplay shown was from a PS4. Ofcourse it's going to be gimped on console. This is a title that they showed off before the consoles were revealed. As it turns out, with this game and a couple of other games, the consoles weren't as powerful as devs predicted, so ofcourse they have to cut down grahpical features. <...
It's an AC game, very few people are really hyped for it now. I'm not saying Syndicate can't be a great game. It might end up being a great game.
Still... they need to end this franchise or completely redo it. Go back to the core and change the basic gameplay mechanics. Completely change the feel of the parkour, the assassinations etc. It's reached a point now where you can jump anywhere and everywhere, make impossible climbs, assassinate anyone from any height....
