Wii U has hardcore, just not as much yet. Deus Ex is brilliant on it.
Families can now turn off the youngster's access to "hardcore" too, which makes it a good all-round platform bet.
As a counter point. I'm playing Deus Ex which is REALLY good with the Wii U Gamepad.
No reason to keep GTA or any other mature game away, particularly if Nintendo puts in the promised user passwords, as parents can then control what is playable.
I'm trying to think of a game I didn't buy due to review scores, and the only ones I can think of were a few specials.
It has nothing to do with "fanboysism"; I simply like to buy quality games that provide value for my money.
Let me turn that argument on its head, for you.
... the only next generation console is the Wii U with its new play styles with the gamepad; the PS4 and and Xbox1 only deliver a marginal increase in video quality.
"Modern gamers"?
I've been gaming well before Colossal Cave Adventure.
Doesn't beat ps3/xBOX360? Oh, come one, it certainly does.

No it doesn't beat PS4 for graphics (but honestly, I don't see enough graphically to buy) but it kills it in first party games, no annual fee, and lower cost.
Wii U is a must have for first party. Steambox will be the way to go for everything else.
I took at look at AC4 comparisons. I agree the PS4 version looked prettier, but not that much prettier.
Not $100 plus a game, plus $50 a year for online, plus waiting a year (just like the Wii U) for a decent library of titles prettier.
Maybe in a couple years I'll pick up a PS4 or Xbox1, but I'd be an idiot to do so now; there isn't enough value.
I hadn't played it before. Zelda WW was FANTASTIC.
If all games were remakes and came out as good as that, I'd be thrilled.
Try it with Deus Ex Directors Cut - worth the buy if you like that type of game.
Headline is correct. Launch titles for PS4 (in particular) and Xbox1 ARE disappointing.
The Wii titles ARE very good.
If you were going to buy a console this year, based on the games rather than hardware, you'd buy Wii U.
(As for your inane comment about "flying off the shelves" I'd simply point to first year sales of Xbox360 and PS3.)
And yes ... if PS4 has lots of content in the future, I'll reconsider - I've just not decided to buy it now.
I'm already close to 200Gb. Just Dance that my daughter likes, takes up a ton of space. 2Tbyte was almost the same price as 1Tb, and it wasn't fitting on the console.
Also have Pikmin, Deus Ex, Tori Toki, Game & Wario, Monster Hunter 3, Zelda Wind Waker, Tank Tank Tank, Wii Fit U, Trine, The Cave, Tennis, Bowling, a half dozen VC games
.... probably others ..... and you know I'm buying more, right? :)
I try to wait for sa...
So I'm wondering what the resolution of AC4 is on the Wii U? I saw a video comparison with the PS4, and while the PS4 was better (rain effects in particular), I didn't notice huge differences.
Love to see what Wii U versus Xbox 1 loooks like now.
#1 on sales at Amazon, and you know a lot of people (myself included) are planning to download to our 2 Terrabyte drives.
The ratings on the PS4 exclusive games released to date have been pretty poor.
I have no interest. Wii U has great stuff - working on Deus Ex - great on Wii U, and will probably pick up Supermario3D (not really my thing, but reviewers are raving, and it is something I can pick up and put down). Maybe get AC4 next - and Bayonettta too. OHh and Monster Hunter 3 ...
... yeah I have too much to do to look at a PS4, given the slim pickings there.
Okay, I fail to understand this question. Sony is FAR more likely to leave the gaming market than Nintendo. Sony'w raison detre is gaming, and they are profitable and sitting on a pile of cash and no debt; not that they can rest on their laurels.
Sony on the other hand has a lot of debt, and hasn't been fairing well. They aren't just a gaming company.
You'll play on their PS3 for a while I suspect, given the lack of titles you'll see on the PS4 for a year.
Dues Ex Directors Cut in IMHO is far better on the Wii U.
However,to your point. You're looking for "exclusive" games. None of the games you listed are exclusive on any platform. All the games you listed are available on the Wii U.
I'll disagree about games from an adult perspective being limited.
Zombi U, Monster Hunter 3, Deus Ex DC, AC3/4, COD, and coming...Bayonetta 2, X, Watchdogs
The Wii U received the "Wii/Child" label, but I have a PS3 with a big back catalogue, and the Wii U gets all the play.
Try Pikmin 3, Zelda Wind Waker, Deus Ex DC and Wonderful 101.
All well worth it and only available on Wii U.
(Well Deus Ex is available elsewhere, but not with the excellent game pad functionality)
