He has a point with respect to Xbox1 and PS4.
However I'd vehemently argue that the Wii U does solve a problem that needs to be solved; asymetical and off screen gaming.
However the comment that the bigger processors aren't addressing a problem needing solving, is correct.
Played demo - based on that I'd have given it 6.5
If true, my response to Sony is simple. Your customers can live with a Wii U and a PC with Steam.

Not true.
You are right there are lots of cheapo games, but then there are great games like Bard's Tale, or Great Big War Game - and a lot of others too.
Not taking it away from those games, and if you grew up on them I understand the nostalgia factor, but no, they aren't miles ahead of many games that are $2-$3.
Nice if the downloadable content was near this price.

Three consoles? More like 5 - Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PS4.
Since there won't be much available at the outset, and no one wants to junk their 360 or PS3 libraries, I suspect the 3 consoles to start will be Wii U, PS3 and Xbox 360.
PS4 and Xbox one, with no backward compatibility, are going to have a tough time finding an audience for a few years.
Wait till everything is out. Everyone has been comparing the Wii U to unknown hardware.
Xbox One, once they fully announced looked - crappy. PS4 ..... I hope does better, but I'd like to see it all first. Better hardware != better games.
I'm pleased there are games coming, but the incessant platform games, and lack of strategy games, is leaving me with little I want to purchase.
Third parties only make games that will sell, and One will have so few customers it will be hard (other than EA and football for the US market) to justify a One exclusive.

I'm not an MS fanboy (don't have an xbox and I sure as hell won't get one after seeing Joe's rant) and I own both a PS3 and a Wii U.
That being said, I don't trust Sony. This is the company that used a rootkit on consumers. This is the company that let you use the "other" system on the PS3 and then said ... only if you don't want to be online ever again.

Wii U wins - not a joke - if Sony goes down the same path as MS with used games. Neither Sony nor MS have enough exclusive product to drive gamers.
Wii U costs less, with exclusive product and none of the used games crap. Steam costs less and games costs less and the PC is likely more powerful (if not this year, than certainly next) than a dedicated console.
Plus .... Wii U plays the Wii games too, and there is a strong virtual console line-up.

He is right. It is 2013 and $8.00 for a game that is 10+ years old is dumb. Even the sales prices are out of whack, and I didn't buy into either the SuperMario or Kirby specials. $2-3 a game is my pricing.
I'll buy $0.30 games, but $8.00 for old games? I'll buy games for my Playbook, Ipad, etc that are GREAT games. May not be SuperMario, but I didn't grow up on that and there is no nostalgia in it to me - just too much cost.
You forgot the retro games, which at $0.30 each are well worth playing :)
And Trine 2 is pretty good too. Depends what you like, but Zombi U - yeap that is good :)

Really? Maybe on a hardware basis, but I've never bought a console based on hardware - I buy based on games and features. If you just want to base this on hardware, than I'd highly recommend you move to a PC with Steam.
Xbox One is dead anyway. That leaves PS4, but lets see if Sony tries to screw over consumers too.
