I've never played Smash Bros, so don't get all the excitement. Although I'm thrilled that these packages are being sold and more Wii U consoles will be in the wild I can't see myself purchasing Smash Bros when I still have Bayonetta 2, Bayonetta 1, and MarioCart still to play through.

At the moment it appears Bayonetta 2 will hit close to 7%. For a mature title on any console, that is significant.
I had never used a Nintendo product prior to the Wii, and then I switch mostly to PS3, and I'm old enough to have programmed with punch cards.
The Wii U "at the moment" has the best exclusives in this generation. That is just fact (from an old guy who isn't a fanboy of anything)
I don't think it is debatable at all, on this generation's console (I'll argue PS3 has the best, due to its extensive library at this point.)
At the moment, how many Xone or PS4 exclusives would you be interested in? There aren't that many to choose from.

I think they are selling very well to Wii U base. I'll be surprised if Bayonetta 2 doesn't hit over 500K sales ... and more.

In fairness, RiPPn didn't say he doesn't like it, he says he doesn't get the hype for it.
I'm in the same boat, as I have never played Smash Bros. (maybe not my genre?) but then again I bought Bayonetta 2 to show support and found much to my surprise that I LOVED that game.
So ... Smash Bros. will likely hit my list too, eventually.
