Probably just the local power box (at the end of the street or whatever).
...you don't actually know anything about the game...
Why wouldn't it mean anything? As long as it sells about 5k in the next week (Which isn't hard to imagine), it'll have done as well as Tales of Vesparia. Only this time, the PS3 has a few great games out as well so although you might not see the 360 on top for long, it'll still have created a nice little boost in sales. Every little helps and all that.
"Finish off" the 360? For them to do that, they'd need to eclipse it in sales by a huge margin. The PS3 is selling well, but there's still more 360's out there. For Sony to "finish" anything off, they'd need to sell about 20million PS3's this year and next year while hoping the 360's sales are stagnant.
Neither console is going anywhere, you're stuck with a 3-horse race this generation.
(admittedly, one of the horses is more like a bright pink po...
I know all that, there's no need to defend the PS3. All I'm saying is that it's interesting how well SO has sold.
Nice interview, but nothing we didn't already know about the game.
Whoops, accidental double post!
If I recall correctly, Tales of Vesparia kept the 360 on top of the PS3 for a couple of weeks and that only sold about 6k more than SO.
We certainly live in interesting times.
And let me point something out for you...
Wasn't there a Red one for Gears as well, or was that just rumoured at one point?
RTSs have sort of died down a bit recently. I think apart from Dawn of War II and whatever abomination EA is calling C&C these days, there's not been a lot to perk my interest in the last 12 months. Starcraft 2 is about the only other one I know of this year that's vaguely interesting me. I'm hoping Halo Wars will bring some new fans to the genre, enough to get it kicking again.
Call me crazy, but I'd welcome a "reboot" back to the series' routes, where the focus was more on survival and puzzle solving than mowing down hundreds of "zombies". Don't get me wrong, I LOVED RE4 and I'll be getting RE5 the second I can lay my grubby mits on it, but I've been a fan of RE since the very first game and I kind of miss it. Even the tank controls.
Now, Capcom, how about you stop Remaking RE1 for every platform under the sun and give RE2 the next...
I'm sure it'll be a great game, all the Tekken games are, but to say SFIV lacks "depth" is silly. Part of Street Fighter's charm is it's apparent simplicity, but look a little further and you'll see just how deep the game really is in terms of the combos you can pull off.
Somehow, it manages to strike a balance between casual and professional play, where anyone can pick it up and enjoy it no matter what their skill level.
Still, they're two very different styles of fight...
I'd say it's as valid a criticism as complaining about multiple disks.
Neither is ideal, but each have their advantages and disadvantages, it's hard to complain about one and then turn around and say the other is better. I'd rather have neither.
Still, this article is stupid, it's not vaguely constructive at all and doesn't even offer one single point as to why it's a bad criticism, instead it just outright flames anyone for complaining. I think having to wait 15mins to ins...
If you played and loved Quake 3, you'll love this. I've been playing the beta for a few weeks and it's great fun.
Still, it IS a 1999 game, so don't expect anything deep, new or revolutionary, just a lot of fun.
Seems like a good month for everyone, really.
In it's defence (no doubt I'll end up eating my own words when it DOES get released), 3 years is hardly the longest development time for a game these days, in fact 2 years seems to be the minimum and many games are starting to take 3-4 years to finish. Look at some of the big titles this year to see what I mean. I know most of them tend to show off bits and pieces, but part of the appeal to the game is the mystery behind it, or so they say. It's possible they don't want to show anything off b...
I'd be willing to bet that they're not saying simply because they're not sure. I'd imagine if they were certain of an E3 appearance, they'd mention it and if they weren't, they'd also say it.
GamerPS360, that makes no sense. How are you supposed to know if you're going to like a game before you play it? And what sense does it make to only publish reviews of the games you like? We need people like this to publish honest reviews, even if they weren't the most impressed with the game, their input gives us an overall good idea as to whether or not WE will like the game. If people only published positive reviews, how on earth would you tell if YOU were going to like the game or not? An...
As daft as it sounds, it does make sense. It's hard to say to someone "You can't play Call of Duty, it's too violent!" when really, it's a depiction of WW2, a war everyone fought in. It would be hypocritical at the least and downright disrespectful at most (to all those who fought in the war) to try and hide it from people.
