Chrome, as a piece of software for rendering web pages, is excellent. However, it's lacking a lot of basic features that makes it a good browser.
Firefox, on the other hand, does a pretty damn good Job of rendering the internet (and 3.1/3.5 is going to do an even better job) and has an almost unlimited scope for expansion. Extensions make the browser what it is.
Opera is a great "everything but the kitchen sink" solution that many will like.

Remember when smash bros came out and a lot of Wiis wouldn't play the game? Apparently that's because it was the first Wii game to use a DL DVD. Apparently a few months later, Nintendo told developers that DL disks would no longer be allowed, because the Wii's DVD drive wasn't very good with them.
I've got no proof of this, it was one of my old work colleagues (Who does Wii development) that told me this.
The fact that both of you are comparing Kodu and LBP shows that neither of you know what you're talking about.
Sony questions Microsoft's numbers, Microsoft questions Sony's numbers, the end result? They're both a pack of lying b*******.
I think I'd prefer a consistent framerate of 30 than one that goes up and down from it. Some games do this and it's really obvious to me and quite distracting. Obviously I'd prefer a cool 60FPS all the way, but if that's not possible I'd be happy with a locked 30FPS that never dipped down.
Your apology is more than accepted =)
It's good to see some more honest people on this site.
Oh I know that, I just meant that to get the BEST from Crysis, you needed a pretty powerful machine, even by Today's standards. I don't think there was a graphics card capable of running it at it's highest settings at the time of release, but that's typical of PC games these days.
And by the way, I'm not trying to spark a fanboy debate, I am genuinely asking a "what if?" question because I think it would be an interesting development.
I would also point out...
Yeah, that £200 I spent on my PS3 was such a waste of money...
"Stealth" fanboys. Jesus Christ. Anyone that coins up such terms either has too much free time or is extremely paranoid about their ego.
Yeah, sure, I might defend Microsoft readily, but that's because EVERYONE loves to have a go at them, so much so that they tend to end up bringing up stupid, pointless debates instead of slamming them for one of the many things they DO deserve flak for. I ...
"slightly better" does not mean "destroy". There's a whole bunch of multi-platform games that run "slightly-better" on the 360 than the PS3 (mostly EA titles). Particularly in the early days and it certainly didn't make the 360 "destroy" the PS3.
Ok, here's a question, a question so obvious it's going to be asked eventually (if not already).
Which looks better, the tech demo for CE3, or Killzone 2? KZ2 was often comapred to Crysis and Crysis usually got voted as better looking, but you did need a $2,000 machine to run it. But what about CE3?
I ask this not because of it's direct competition with KZ2, but because KZ2 is widely believed to be "impossible" on any other console. However, if an engine comes out...
- Ghost of Sparta -: Did you even read the link you posted? It doesn't mention anything about it being better on one platform or another...
Also, Unreal Engine 3 IS old tech, it was pretty much finished before the 360 was even released, why on earth would you think it'd still stand out against custom built engines released years later? But there's more to an engine than it's graphics, you know. The Unreal engine is a remarkable design, it's easily the most flexible engine out the...
It's for Versus mode only, which will make things fun.
Can't wait for the survivor pack.
And yet it's the feature I want to see most on my PS3.
This has nothing to do with Microsoft, you clearly didn't read the article, so go troll elsewhere.
Necessity breeds demand. All it takes is ONE ISP to drop caps and the rest will have to fall in line. Most regular people have no concept of caps because they'll never hit them, if services like this and netflix take off more, it'll become a bigger issue.
"Note that, as yet, there is no firm confirmation that this title will ever see the light of day outside of Blitz's studio up in Leamington."
I hope it does, it sounds interesting.
You're like the third person to post a list and I think you're the only one that actually got it right.
Half of those games aren't SONY franchises. Hell, some of them have even been on other consoles! (Crash bandicoot?).
Any game that sells over a million is a huge success.
Sony should really dump the current browser and use one of the existing, fully-featured ones out there. Either Pay Opera for licenses (and with 20million PS3s, I'm sure they could cut a VERY competitive deal!) or use Firefox. Of course, the latter being open source would mean sony would have to open the source to their version, but so what? Everything's digitally signed on the PS3 anyway, nobody would be able to do anything with it.
