The world is a pretty big place, there's plenty of potential for it. Don't forget, the ipod brand is absolutely huge, Microsoft is never going to be able to break a brand that big quickly. They have to establish their own brand and take time to build it up and that's not easy.
Give it a generation or two and it could well be a worthy competitor.
They never released the Zune worldwide, so don't judge its sales just yet. I, for one, would love a Zune. Every time I see a comparison between the ipod and most other music players, experts agree that the ipod's sound reproduction is terrible. Sure, it might have a fancy interface, but I want to listen to music, not look at a pretty menu.
The zune has potential to me. I can't say for sure I'd definitely buy one because I've never even seen one in real life, but when I'm looking to upgr...
It's only been released in the US. Wait until they release it worldwide before you come to any conclusions.
4million is still a healthy margin, you know.
I thought this list was supposed to IMPROVE gameplay? Read carefully and you can immediately tell the author of this only ever plays as a sniper.
I have nothing against people who snipe, however some people play objective based games like Domination or Headquarters and STILL just sit on their arse in the corner sniping, never taking objectives. They end up with a fairly good K/D ratio, but they never ever top score.
They also miss the point entirely about Prestige. The whol...
Nah, they'll wait for sales of the Wii to slow down enough before launching the next one. There's no reason why they can't ship 100million wiis before announcing anything else.
Nothing has been announced yet. Nothing about hardware, software, release dates, etc.
THAT'S all you need to know.
Halo 4? Why is anyone even asking that question? If there's going to be a Halo 4, it's years away, it'll probably be on the NEXT console system and its impact will depend entirely on the market at the time.
2 lights is overheating. RROD is often claimed to be overheating, but in fact it's not (RROD is caused by the console going from hot to cold to hot again), so don't think it's the same thing.
If your 360 is doing this regulaurly, check the ventilation of it (do the fans have a clear exhaust? Is it in a cramped area?), make sure the fans are spinning and such. If MS wont fix your console, it's probably worth opening it up (it's not difficult at all) and checking the fans directly, as wel...
Microsoft has never claimed that the new motherobards fix the issue. In fact, Microsoft don't even talk about the new motherboards, the only reason people even know what they're called is because occasionally the info gets leaked.
Go ahead, look for any MS PR guy mentioning newer chipsets and how they fixed anything. Never happened. It's all rumor and conjecture.
That doesn't mean it's ok for the problem to have gone on this long - it's not, but MS never claimed to have fix...
Patcher is the original HHG.
Only the ones that would sleep with you.
I wonder how many of the people here saying "I would choose sex!" have actually experienced it.
Then again, I certainly have and I'd still choose it over gaming any day. Or convince the missus to get under the desk while I play some COD (Wouldn't be the first time, hence why I'm going out with her ;P Don't worry, she'll get hers later. She always does.).
"Sex lasts for hours"
I'd wager that 80% of the people on this site are probably still virgins and when they finally DO bust that first nut, it'll be a big ol' "false" there.
Could be worse. Imagine telling the wife you want to "attack her from behind for massive damage".
You're all conveniently forgetting that MS gives you a 3 year warranty, so it doesn't actually cost you anything, just time.
Not saying it's acceptable, I'd be pissed if my 360 died all the same, I'm just saying that a lot of your analogies don't add up.
His opinions are fine, they're as valid as anyone's, it's his outlandish headlines and baseless "predictions" that I (and most others) have a problem with.
Combining hip hop and gaming? Fine.
Going around interviewing people from the industry? fine.
Literally making up headlines in order to score hits? NOT fine. Not fine by a long shot.
In other news, apples > oranges.
It's not Sony that wants the price cut, it's developers.
Cheaper PS3s means more PS3s sold, more PS3s sold means a larger potential audience for any games developers make.
It stands to reason, if you release a game into a crowd of 20million people, it'll probably sell around twice as much as a crowd of 10million people. Bigger sales means those large development costs aren't as big an issue. It means more games, better games and less developers going out of business.
"Skill" is perhaps the wrong term to use when talking about prestiege, what I mean by it is that those who have full prestige are out to prove something and those that don't simply aren't. You know when you fight someone who's fully leveled up but hasn't prestiged that they're probably going to be a fairly weak player, relying on some of the better weapons and perks to carry them through. At least when you see someone on level 10 prestige, you know they've put the grunt work in to g...
