Try reading even the summary:

"Starting next week, the company plans to begin delivering IE 8 via Automatic Update to users with older versions of IE installed. "

If you already have IE, it'll just update it to the latest version. If you uninstall IE (Yes, you CAN do that, at least you will be able to in 7) then you'll not get the update. Heaven forbid Microsoft keeps their programs up to date! Indeed, Microsoft is SO EVIL for updating people's software so ...

Ok, so the SECOND account you mention has only played a total of THREE games (Gears 1, gears 2 and NBA 07), only has 500 gamerscore, hasn't played any of games the first account hadn't (So still no star ocean or mass effect et all) and STILL hasn't played Gears 2 since January. Nothing is different about that account. Nothing.

Well, apart from you not confessing your love for the PS3, you've not done that there.

For someone claiming they're "talented" (some...

You've only played a handful of games on the 360 and according to your own profile, you've played 2 games on the 360 in the last 2 years. You've not played Gears 2 since before Christmas (i.e. you've not tried it since the patches you claim didn't work), you never played Mass Effect and you certainly haven't played Star Ocean, so just how much of your comment is true and how much did you make up just because you're in love with the PS3?

No, really, he's in love, this is what his ...

I've played every game he mentions, with Star Ocean being the only exception (it has not been released here) and I've never experienced the problems he's complaining about. Lost Odyssey had some slow texture streaming, but that's typical of all Unreal Engine games (360 or PS3, doesn't seem to matter). I got my 360 at the end of summer 2007 as well (it was September IIRC).

I've also not had a single issue with any of my PS3 games, either, but I have heard reports of both consoles ...

So why should Apple continue making new ipods if they already own 70% of the market?
That logic doesn't make sense, that's like saying the PS2s had 70% of the console market, so why bother releasing the 360 or the Wii?
Technology evolves, people move on, there's still plenty of potential customers out there that MS could take.

Apple didn't invent touch screens, they've been around for years.

You mean Apple sold 13M ipods WORLDWIDE and MS only sold 2M zunes in the US?
As someone from the UK, I can happily say that I'd look into a zune if they sold the bloody things here. I don't like ipods, I really don't.

I hope people realise that "cell-shading" and "making everything look like a cartoon" are NOT synonymous. You'd be surprised at the amount of realistic games that use some form of cell-shading (it makes some very interesting lighting effects).

I played RE1 and RE2 long before Silent Hill ever came out. Resident Evil never scared me, aside from the odd scene where something jumps out at you (And in RE, those ARE quite rare).
Silent Hill remains to this day the ONLY game to ever genuinely creep the hell out of me. Had to play with the lights on, that sort of thing.
Its affect has long since worn off and its various sequels have never managed to do it, either, so perhaps it is partially an age thing, but still, resident ev...

"So, just how much will a SSD with such an impressive performance speed go for these days? Apparently, $749 is the asking price. Once your eyes settle back into their sockets, you can start saving your pennies."

Considering this is one of the high-end SSDs out there, I'd say that's actually fairly cheap. Prices are definitely coming down, I can't wait until drives like this are less than $100 (probably only a couple of years away).

No it's not, the hardware inside a 360 is almost entirely different to the hardware inside PCs. About the only similarities are USB ports and an Ethernet jack, something even the PS3 shares.

When people say the 360 is a lot like a PC, they're talking about the development process - making a game for the 360 is very similar to making a game on the PC. You know why that is? Not because the hardware is similar, but because Microsoft designs all of the development tools for BOTH plat...

This article is garbage.

"Everyone assumed this to be an anti-piracy measure brewed to stop the moungrels in their tracks."

No, only a few uneducated people assumed this and the assumption is incorrect. It was actually a side-effect of the LATEST 360 modified firmwares that prevented the disk from booting, they seen the new data and assumed that the disk was corrupt, so didn't boot to prevent the filthy pirate from getting banned. If you installed an older ...

As long as this game is realistic, nitty and gritty and makes you see the horror of war, I have no problem with it what so ever.

I think my main problem with home isn't so much that it's not all that interesting (to me, at least), but rather the amount of time and effort Sony has put into it.
I mean it was announced how many years ago? And yet right now there's not a lot to it. What else could they have done instead of Home? I would rather they'd put that same effort into making the XMB more useful (not saying it isn't useful, but more features would be nice), more things like trophies and such that the GAMES wil...

Wow! blatant trolling right there, RIGHT THERE!

This article had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the PS3 or the 360, it was about a funny thing that happened at a tournament. Would have happened no matter what console it was being played on.

FYI, it was a PS3 that you can clearly see in the video, so using your logic, whatever it is you're trying to say about 360 owners actually applies to PS3 owners. How about that?

Seriously, just stop with this nonsense...

Who's agreeing with the article? I've not seen a SINGLE post here of anyone agreeing with it, 360-fanbase or otherwise.

You do realise you're probably doing exactly what the author wants, right?

"A five dollar fee to play multiplayer instantly screens the lowest common denominator out of the process of annoying the **** out of me during a game. And I welcome the concept. I’ll gladly pay an extra five-spot to instantly be rid of the risk of running into the worst offenders during multiplayer play."

Yeaaah! That $5 really makes a hell of a difference, it's not like they've paid $40 for the game already, or (in the case of Live) $40 for a year's worth of online pl...

I just hope they get international rights for this stuff. Both the PSN store and Live's marketplace are incredibly fragmented when it comes to regional support, which is ridiculous - it's the INTERnet, as in INTERNATIONAL network - it should be available to all.
