Why would that mean they didn't plan for a ME3? Excluding the fact that they said from the very beginning that it was a trilogy (Source: http://www.joystiq.com/2007... - dated from 2007), just because a "main" character from ME2 dies doesn't mean ME3 will be counted out. Look at ME1 - Wrex can die and he'll be missing in ME2, which does change some m...
Who cares what the reasons are behind it, the important thing is that SOPA looses support. So what, it's Karma whoring, or a company does a 180 - that's kind of the point of all the protests.
Well it's an actual phrase, although it's a tiny bit out of place here: http://www.phrases.org.uk/m... Its a real phrase, quite an old one.
Can I just have less FPS's, please? I like FPS's, at one point they were even my favourite Genre, but I'm all FPS'd out.
Can we all make an agreement that when the 720 and PS4 are out on shelves, we give them like 3-6 months and then stop calling them "Next-gen"?
There are people today who still call the 360/PS3 "Next-gen consoles".
Most of this is a speculative post, not a "rumour roundup" like I was hoping. Plus, the journalism is a bit shoddy:
"considering the 360 Slim went for a CPU/GPU combo processor, we could well see the 720 kitted out with AMD’s upcoming fusion chip. AMD have fuelled the fires of speculation by claiming that the Xbox 720 will pack a graphical punch, adding that the machine will be also feature better physics and artificial intelligence."

Saying that Mirror's Edge style Parkour is little more than 3D platforming is borderline idiotic. You just have to look at 3D platformers like Mario 64 to see that it's in no way the same thing.
The rest of the article is ok, though, if a little obvious.
Well you know how it goes, apparently the PC doesn't count as a "proper" gaming platform.
Call me Crazy, but I think PC gaming is having a bit of a revival at the moment. I don't think it'll ever beat consoles, but it's certainly going up.
Are you saying that the PC version of Uncharted doesn't look as good as the PS3 version?!?!
Everyone knows that cost is the most important factor in what makes a games console good. That's why the Wii is so much better than the rest, right?
If there's one thing people should have learned by now, it's that more sales don't immediately mean the game is better. Now I'm not saying GT5 is the inferior game, frankly I'm not all that into racing games myself (Except Wipeout, which I love), but surely 4x the sales should mean that GT5 is 4x better? Well, that obviously can't be the case, or Forza would have a much lower metacritic score.
I think the article makes a good stab at explaining it - th...
Because believe it or not, it adds quite a significant overhead for Bethesda in terms of testing, stability and even performance.
Enabling LARGEADDRESSAWARE can cause issues on some 32bit machines, so this might actually cause more issues than it solves, at least for those who aren't running 64bit OS's.
See here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/e... <...
According to Steam's user surveys, 55% of machines are running a 64bit OS.
I should point out, however, that this change can also benefit 32bit Machines as the game will be able to address 3Gb of RAM instead of just 2.
Mass Effect 3. That is all.
Ok, let's clear up some more misconceptions.
PC games today don't use more than around 2GB of RAM, this is true. However, do you not realise that there's a reason for this beyond just not needing it?
Many of you already know this, but some might not - there's a hard limit in the amount of RAM a PC can use. Particularly, if your PC has 4GB of RAM, it'll only actually be capable of using about 3.2GB (Total, this includes all programs, the OS, even ha...
Anyone who thinks 768Mb of RAM, even "really fast RAM" is good, in this day and age, is an idiot. Yes, fast RAM can make all the difference but not having enough of it can still be crippling. The less RAM you have, the more you have to stream from disk (either HDD/internal memory or optical). I cannot put into words how much slower streaming is than RAM. RAM is orders of magnitude faster than even the best SSD out there. I ran Memtest x86 the other day and my cheapo DDR3 was running...
@Thabass
My Apologies, I actually meant FFXIV. I have no idea why I said FFIX (Although I admit I didn't like that one, either, but I know lots of people did).
I don't want it to happen, either. Squeenix has lost its ability to make compelling games. FFXIII and FFIX were just let downs (FFIX more so, obviously). All of the other games they've made recently (Not including Eidos, of course) haven't been up to scratch, either. I mean they're not necessarily bad, but they're not the epic RPG's we remember. There hasn't been a game like Chrono Trigger, FF7 or even FFX in a long time. Until they get that right, they can leave F...
No matter what way you swing (PS3 or 360), it's things like this that show you why some people simply prefer PC gaming.
Of course, it's not everyone's cup of tea - it takes time, some fiddling and you don't get that relaxed on the sofa, pick up and play feel, but hey - some people like to tinker.
Did you play ME1? The combat was TERRIBLE. Along with the vehicle dynamics and lifts, all Bioware did was take everything bad out of the game and/or replace it with something better. Combat in ME2 doesn't feel like a chore and while it's not quite as good as GoW, it's good enough and the excellent story more than makes up for it.
