About bloody time they released this update. 3 months is pushing it.
And what's that even supposed to mean? How do you actually know the game deserves more 10/10's? Hype is not an indication of the quality of a game, there is a very good chance that Killzone 2 is just NOT perfect. It could be absolutely fantastic, but still a solid "9", yet people are getting grossly upset and spouting that there's some sort of global anti-PS3 conspiracy. Seriously.
And just for the record - Halo is overrated. So no, I'm not being biased here, I'm just s...
And on that note, Infinite Undiscovery is a really really bad game.
Well, actually the "It's Japan!" excuse is pretty Valid, they've got quite a unique taste in games and they definitely don't like western stuff. But we already know that, so how about slipping the shoe on the other foot - there's any number of games that sell big in Japan but don't get a second glance outside of it, so it goes both ways.
You are right in saying this almost certainly wont "turn the tide", I wasn't disagreeing with that, I was just saying that every bi...
Right, THIS review outright said that it's better than Halo 3, GoW2 and even COD4 (Which I'd personally rank as the best FPS in years, but that's my opinion - and no, I'm not saying it's better than KZ2 because I haven't played KZ2 yet to make that judgement), yet because it "only" gave 9/10, people are STILL complaining?
People that haven't actually played the game, I might add.
Honestly guys, you're just acting childish now, don't let someone's opinion ruin a good game...
That makes it obvious, does it? Sounds like grasping at straws.
Plenty of 360 games have not had an "Only on Xbox" stamp and never made it to the PS3/Wii, likewise plenty of games DID have the stamp and ended up multiplatform anyway (Bioshock comes to mind).
Also, even if it really DOES go to the PS3 (I'm not discounting that it might, I'm just saying the "evidence" for it is more than a bit thin), you pulled the "extra content" part out...
Well GWAVE, every time one of those games came out, 360 sales jumped a fair bit and although they dropped down again, they didn't drop down to the levels they were previously. Hell, Tales of Vesparia alone made the 360 outsell the PS3 for a month solid. In Japan, that's an amazing feat.
Hell, even the last few weeks the 360's "only" been outsold by the PS3 at a rate of 2:1 instead of the usual 3:1 or 4:1. Yeah, it's still getting pummelled, but slowly enough the Japanese are w...
They just made half of this crap up. "Ponzored?" That's clearly meant to be "pwned", or at a stretch, "Pwnz0red". Idiots.
No mention of "n00b", "ftw"/"ftl" ;, "1337" or anything.
One word: Goldenye.
Definitely a good idea, but I can't really see many games coming out where an avatar is really important. Even games like Uno they just live up to their name and sit in the corner. Scene It?! is the same, they just jump around a bit. I'd like to see more games where your Avatar really is the main character that you control. Stupid platform games, Karting games and the like.
Oh it's gametheory, the guy that ran out of bubbles in a different thread, so sent me a PM to claim he was right about absolutely everything, then blocked me so I couldn't respond. Top man!
I wasn't talking about the score at all, I was talking about what they wrote. They claim the game is PERFECT, actually perfect with 0 negative points at all. I'm not badmouthing the game, I'm sure it's amazing, but it's hardly absolutely perfect. At least other sites that gave it 10/10 still pointed out the odd flaw here and there.
Wow, that site's more biased than Nathan Drake.
I wonder if someone will complain that this "perfect" score still isn't good enough. People have been screaming bloody murder at 9/10's so I really wouldn't be surprised.
I really enjoyed 4, but 2 is still my favourite of them all. I could play that game with my eyes closed.
I kinda wish they'd re-release it for the DS like they did the first one, just so I'd have an excuse to play it again. Hell, I'd love a remake of it, but that'll never happen.
I really enjoyed Braid, it made me realise why I love games so much - it's not always about playing the latest <insert genre here> with the best graphics or whatever, it's about having fun and finding completely new experiences.
Reminded me of the first time I'd ever played an RPG or even an FPS, it was new and a bit different, yet somehow a little familliar, if a bit arty farty.
If you've got sound, you haven't got a problem. The problem is that some people simply aren't getting sound over HDMI since the NXE. Nobody's really sure of what it is, but it's believed to be a glitch in the HDCP handshake.
Statix, I'm not really sure what your arguing about, but you seem to imply that the most realistic looking game should be classed as the best looking game and that's simply not true. If Killzone only rendered a single room, it would look twice as good, but because it has to render a whole level, it looks the way it does (Which is still pretty damn good). On the other hand GTAIV renders an entire CITY that you can go wherever you want, so there's no way it could look as good as KZ2, but it loo...
You do NOT pay for this service, this has nothing to do with Xbox Live other than the update can be supplied through it.
In saying that, I do agree that it's taken far too long for them to fix this. I'm fortunate in that I use HDMI (With audio) without a problem.
VGA will be about the same as HDMI. I mean, technically HDMI is far superior, but really it's only a problem if you use a really long and really cheap VGA cable (The official ones from Microsoft are very good quality) as the analogue signal can be prone to interference, whereas HDMI is digital so it's not.
In other words, you'll be hard pushed to notice a difference, the only catch is that VGA will ONLY do 60Hz, so any old Xbox games that are 50hz only will simply not work.
Get a life.
