I think what IGN were getting at was that GTAIV was an entire CITY without loading screens. KZ2 does actually have (very brief) loading screens and as far as I'm aware, isn't a free-roaming city, so depending on your point of view, you may say that GTAIV is more impressive due to the scale of what it does.

I'm on the fence, though, I thought GTAIV could have been a lot better gameplay wise and I'm reserving my judgement of KZ2 until I play it myself.

Fcuk me, a 9/10 and people are STILL complaining?

Holy hell, it got 8.7 out of 10 (may as well call it 9/10) and you're STILL complaining!
There's really no pleasing some people.

Because nobody bothers playing their wii, so why would they talk about it?

You mean "sought out"?

Completely agreed. This is the problem with hype, KZ2 has to be the most hyped up game since at least MGS4, with people saying it's the best game ever made and such. Because it's been built up so high, even though NOBODY here has actually played the single player campaign, people expect it to be a 10/10 game, when in reality it's more than likely it'll only be an 8/10 or 9/10 game. Don't get me wrong, it's probably still a fantastic game and I am not badmouthing it at all, I'm just saying tha...

It makes sense, though. Like the Japanese will love some really weird-assed game that westerners just wont get, so you'd expect to see a huge difference there.
I think you've got a point about Europe, though, but Germany could be the exception here as they are VERY strict on violence in games, so much so that a lot of games there get cut down or released as a special "german-only" version with green blood and such to get past the censors. I don't know if KZ2 is one of those, b...

So?

Who cares if it's overall score gets taken down a little bit, is that in any way going to affect your enjoyment of the game?
Are you going to be playing it and thinking "Damn, this was fun, but if only metacritic rated it a bit higher, maybe it'd be more fun"?

It's still a good score, 8/10 is extremely respectable, the problem is that diehard fanboys are so incredibly elitist, they turn their nose up at anything below a 9, when in reality on a 1-1...

There's more to a game than how it looks, you know. None of the people complaining here have played the Single player game so they cannot honestly say that this review is any better or worse than any other review. Plus, it's all opinion anyway. the author of this article has every right to mark it 8/10 if he wants to, so does the author of a different article who marked it 10/10.
At the end of the day, your own mileage may vary, the only thing you can be sure of is that it's at least de...

GamerPS360: I'm assuming you've got a gamertag, if you sign up to live for a SILVER (i.e. free) account, it asks you to buy gold - say no and it'll give you a 30 day free trial. Even if you're not interested in Live, it's worth having it to see what all the fuss is about and since it's free....

Actually, when you look inside a 360, the biggest part of it is the DVD drive. I mean the heatsink is bloody huge as well, but if jasper (or possibly the next revision) is cool enough, Microsoft could get away with a smaller heatsink. Throw in a laptop DVD-drive and you could definitely slim the whole thing down a bit, the only problem I can see is the hard drive - it'd either need a new design, or stick on the side of it or something.

Contrary to popular belief, the RROD isn't a...

I'm glad the PS3 finally has it's "defining" title. The game that people will likely associate with the console even generations later. The PS2 had FFX (Actually, the PS2 had a few titles), the N64 had Goldeneye, the Xbox had Halo and the 360 had Gears of War - now the PS3 has Killzone 2.
But, hype or no hype, even if this was voted the greatest game ever made, it still may not be enough to turn the tide of the console war, for that we'll have to wait and see what happens late...

Dare I say it?
Dare I say that all manufacturers are prone to the occasional "gross fcuk up" in the hardware department?
I'd best not, some people might feel I'm threatening their ego.

When I first heard of Bob's plight ages ago, I would have happily signed whatever petitions he needed or even wrote a few letters or whatever as I think he's got a worthy cause, but after all his antics as of late, I'd now sooner sign a petition to get him to go away. He makes real developers look bad.

I hope it's a worthwhile multiplayer mode and not just a tacked-on DM featuring the weapons from the game. All it needs is a couple of interesting game modes and I'll be happy, perhaps one where 4 Big Daddies have to protect a little sister against 8 opponents or something like that. I think that'd be pretty cool.

Jager, although I'm not supporting tnkGODimATHEIST (he's clearly a 8==D), I do feel the need to tell you that Live has dedicated servers as WELL as P2P servers. And PSN has P2P servers as well. There's no difference between them in that regard, it's up to the developer to decide how they want to make their game.

Building an Operating System that can compete with the likes of Windows is an astronomically monumental task. When it comes down to it, today there's only about 4 different core Operating Systems out there. Google, despite all it's grandeur, couldn't produce their own Operating System, the best they could do is produce their own variant of Linux and it would inevitably be "just another Linux distro".
Google would be far better off contributing to a project like Ubuntu to make ...

Dude, we get it - you like Google! I like Google as well, but I didn't feel the need to post the same thing 3 times (albeit worded differently).

This is clearly flamebait for Apple fanboys. It's the equivelant to an article saying "if the 360 is so good, why does it suck so much?" or "If the PS3 is such good value, why is nobody buying it?", you'll get the same kind of fierce reactions.
