You get what you paid for. I seriously doubt the PS4 have enough GPU/CPU power to make VR as compelling as Vive and Rift. The Vive has room tracking. Try that with the PS4! That PS4 Camera is going to be comical. Have you seen the VR games right now? They look like PS2 games.

Then delayed.
Then dropped to 1080p/30.
Then UC4 dropped from 1080p/60 to 900p/60.

Why not allow Steam on Xbox One? It's a PC in a sense that runs Windows 10. If anything, it should bring MORE gamers and money to Steam.

Is that why PS+ copied Xbox Live, or Achievements vs. Trophies or the fact that XB1 exclusive games use dedicated servers while UC4MP is still p2p?

Reality:

iOS uses Metal.
Mac OS uses Metal.
PS4 uses GNM.
Linux is still hindered by graphics driver.

There's no indication whatsoever for Sony to move to Vulkan as the GNM API is actually pretty advanced and already has features of Vulkan and DX12.

The performance issue was like dropping from 30 to 28 fps with a few torn frames. And that was isolated to a location. So yes the PS4 performance is is better but the XB1 is catching up. It's also likely that a beta build is older than what's available internally. Ask yourself: What's different now on the XB1 that allows it to achieve 1080p at almost solid 30 fps that's supposedly 50% weaker than the PS4?

It's a huge improvement if these features allow them to reach 1080p at a solid 30 fps and hopefully 60 fps later as DX12 is fully utilized. MS has been calling the XB1 design as belonging to datacenter with supercomputing architecture.

It's a full computer running Atom Cherry Trail and a custom in-house HPU, custom audio, pretty much everything is custom. Plus it's like $3000 that's not intended for gaming. Did I say it's all wireless? It's running Windows 10. You can do anything you want with it running Windows 10.

Don't worry though, the DS4 gets about 6-8 hrs of battery life average. It's all relative.

LOL this article is terrible such poor "journalism". The Polaris name was leaked over ONE year ago on Oct 9, 2014 by the Netflix app. It's likely a code name by Netflix, which coincide with the new AMD Polaris Architecture in 2016. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not but the XB1 supports HEVC h265 encoding, which is not available on Sea Islands-based GPU.
